I submitted the tax return transcript obtained from the IRS website, just like you did, but I still got a RFE saying that my sponsor cannot be determined to qualify...I was instructed to send in W-2s, 1099 and 2555. Should I also be sending in bank statements? I thought the transcripts directly obtained from the irs would be the most convincing. But apparently not?

Why didn't they put a warning that the form must be printed out and signed and electronic signatures would not suffice? I don't understand what is the purpose of this because it just adds more work and time to print out at a library or Staples and having to scan and upload to pc and NVC. I'm baffled by how everything is so complicated when it could be so easy.
@@farhanarahman33 it's the same they would just select they are a first or second joint sponsor. And they would only provide their current estimated income, last recent tax income, and the transcript. Simple.

For those of you wanting to speak to a live person at USCIS, try these keywords or otherwise you will just go in circles with the robot. Try saying UPDATE CONTACT INFORMATION. I have no idea why they make it so difficult because if you don't say the proper keywords, they robot will just say send you a link via email or text for more information. I hope this helps.

Is it acceptable to use an i-864a and a second joint sponsor with another i-864? Meaning, I the petitioner use an i-864, my parent who resides with me fills out an i-864a, and a second joint sponsor who lives elsewhere fills out an i-864? I want to provide as much financial support as possible and I do not make the financial requirement currently. My second joint sponsor does and maybe the i-864a is not necessary or allowed with two i-864 forms.
@@anthonymartinez5692 you can’t use a household member and a joint sponsor at the same time. Either you rely on your own income + household member, OR you get a joint sponsor.

Amount wise I qualify sponsoring by myself. Do I still need to put my husband on page 4 - under “Income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size”? Adobe Acrobat Reader will not let me edit the form. I can not input anything / Update. Had to download Adobe Reader before downloading the form. If you download the form before installing Acrobat Read you will not be able to edit it.

@@watayadesiree1664 I've done a lot of research regarding the N/A, Not Applicable and None deal. It appears the best is to print it out and then write it in if fields don't accept N/A or NONE (numerical fields). You will have to sign and scan it anyway so might as well make it easier on yourself. Tip: First, the instruction to enter N/A is an "artifact" from an earlier era. The form doesn't allow that anymore and hasn't for a while. There are fields the earlier answers render inoperative. Then, for example, there are fields where N/A cannot be entered. If asked to list all children, if there are NONE, just enter NONE one time and leave all the rest of the children fields blank. If there's one child, enter NONE in the second child's name filed and move on. Yes, this is absolutely acceptable.

And now shows me I have total income of the same as 1st time and I do have a paper from IRS transcript that has 1040x adjustment of income. What should I put now ?

@@KseniyaInternational how about if a retired person is petitioning his wife but mainly relies on his social security income and pension. His social security totals to $31k a year and $9k taxable pension. Can he use his social security income and pension for the affidavit of support? The problem is social security is considered non taxable so it does not reflect on his 1040 as part of the total gross income. Household would only be for 2. The petitioner and the person being petitioned.

On my end when i try to type in the areas that are glitched it will not type anything and keeps popping up " try our 7 day free trial to edit " i am unable to make ANY changes for that matter. even on areas where it is fillable on browser. such as name, address, etc. the whole document will not erase or type in anything it just pops up to do the trial. i also downloaded from the website. EDIT: so i went to the website and talked with a live agent. they had stated that yes, you need to pay the subscription. the free version is only for reading. i am not sure why you are able to edit with the free version but it is not working on my end and according to the live chat edit *is* only for paid subscription. i will fill the blank areas with black pen when i print to sign Thanks for the vid tho
@@olimpiagomez8303 forgetting isn’t a good reason to not have it. They should file them now and not have any gaps. Unless they didn’t make any money and they can prove that all tax returns are required to be filed

@@Realpinas the whole point of a joint sponsor is that they have a job because they’re supposed to financially take on the responsibility. You need to pick a different joint sponsor who is employed. Or make their spouse a joint sponsor instead.

I am getting confuse with I864 part 5. I am petitioning my 2 minor kids and my mom who are living abroad.
I put "1" on item number 1 (person sponsoring on this affidavit), 2 (yourself) and 4 (if you have depended children) on all three I864 forms. Should I put "1" on item number 5 which is my mom?

Hi, If you have already submitted your Form I-864 without including income from a household member and now plan to add that income, how do you correct that? And also I plan on using my wife as the household member, but we filed jointly only on the 3rd recent(2021). Will that be a problem too? Thank you so much!!!!
Is it acceptable to use an i-864a and a second joint sponsor with another i-864? Meaning, I the petitioner use an i-864, my parent who resides with me fills out an i-864a, and a second joint sponsor who lives elsewhere fills out an i-864? I want to provide as much financial support as possible and I do not make the financial requirement currently. My second joint sponsor does and maybe the i-864a is not necessary or allowed with two i-864 forms.
@@anthonymartinez5692 you can’t use a household member and a joint sponsor at the same time. Either you rely on your own income + household member, OR you get a joint sponsor.

Do I still need to put my husband on page 4 - under “Income you are using from any other person who was counted in your household size”? This would mean he would also need to submit I-864A.

@@watayadesiree1664 I've done a lot of research regarding the N/A, Not Applicable and None deal. It appears the best is to print it out and then write it in if fields don't accept N/A or NONE (numerical fields). You will have to sign and scan it anyway so might as well make it easier on yourself.
Tip: First, the instruction to enter N/A is an "artifact" from an earlier era. The form doesn't allow that anymore and hasn't for a while. There are fields the earlier answers render inoperative. Then, for example, there are fields where N/A cannot be entered. If asked to list all children, if there are NONE, just enter NONE one time and leave all the rest of the children fields blank. If there's one child, enter NONE in the second child's name filed and move on. Yes, this is absolutely acceptable.

I filled out the I-864 form for my brother, he is now a lawful resident and lives on his own. Does he count in my household? If he counts, my current income be much less than with poverty guidelines limit, and unfortunately, my savings balance is not good enough. So can you give me any advice thank you again!

@@KseniyaInternational how about if a retired person is petitioning his wife but mainly relies on his social security income and pension. His social security totals to $31k a year and $9k taxable pension. Can he use his social security income and pension for the affidavit of support? The problem is social security is considered non taxable so it does not reflect on his 1040 as part of the total gross income. Household would only be for 2. The petitioner and the person being petitioned.

On my end when i try to type in the areas that are glitched it will not type anything and keeps popping up " try our 7 day free trial to edit " i am unable to make ANY changes for that matter. even on areas where it is fillable on browser. such as name, address, etc. the whole document will not erase or type in anything it just pops up to do the trial. i also downloaded from the website.
EDIT: so i went to the website and talked with a live agent. they had stated that yes, you need to pay the subscription. the free version is only for reading. i am not sure why you are able to edit with the free version but it is not working on my end and according to the live chat edit *is* only for paid subscription. i will fill the blank areas with black pen when i print to sign Thanks for the vid tho

@@Realpinas the whole point of a joint sponsor is that they have a job because they’re supposed to financially take on the responsibility. You need to pick a different joint sponsor who is employed. Or make their spouse a joint sponsor instead.
