WOW!!! Stunningly deep and beautiful. Martha is outstanding! Such a beautiful voice. Lucy is beyond compare and in a class of her own. When these two sisters harmonize their voices, they bring a bit of Heaven to this Earth.

@@SaeedReacts. The first 10 times I listened to these Girls who at the Time were 14 and 19, Harmonize this Song, I was blown away, you're right, Religion aside, this Song was Sung by Angelic Voices!

I heard Michael English sing this at a "Young Messiah" concert around 1991 before he even released the album. His version was the benchmark, I think, for decades. This performance is just so stunning, Lucy singing that high harmony was quite a break from their usual, if they have a usual, arrangement of Marha singing harmony low or high. Love the way Lucy gets up there high without any screeching and really showing her range.
I love this version and I like watching Lucy’s eyes after she delivers that first high note. It’s as if she is looking at the crew and thinking “I told you I would hit it”.
What’s unusual about this version is that Martha generally sticks to the melody and it is Lucy who is singing harmony, over Martha. It’s just beautiful. ❤

I have to admit that I am not religious BUT when 'Mary Did You Know' and 'O Holy Night' are performed by Lucy & Martha - these are the most beautiful songs of the holiday season - bar none. There is nothing better than the 'blood harmonies' that the two young women put together. These young female singers are so, so gifted. Last year there was even a trio-song which included their mother as well... than you understand why Lucy and Martha both are singing so well: they must have it in their genes. Especially when you listen to Lucy's repertoir you can hear this goes beyond talent. No doubt she must be working very, very hard to achieve her goals, but at the same time it is "second nature" for her.

Lucy has a beautiful FULL voice I say wide, deep, long, POWERFUL, Like whipped cream compared to water, and Martha compliments her perfectly, she is developing still and what a pair !! !
They are singing about God,our creator,coming to earth in the flesh as baby Jesus to His mother Mary. One day He would lay down His life for the redemption of our sins,and raise to life 3 days later in victory over death,that all of us who believe in his sacrificial gift would have eternal life with Him on the day we leave this world.That's why it hits deep! It's about God's sovereign love for us!

I've studied the bible for over 10 years,and I have seen God working in my life and the life of others.Lots of people don't bother seeking God.They can't get past the whole,if there's a God,then why do bad things sometimes happen to good people? Man is selfish by nature. Most people looking to buy a new car,a house,a new cell phone,spend time getting to know all about it.The same is true with faith,you must seek it.Even if you don't believe there is a God,tell Him.He promises that if you seek Him with your whole heart,you WILL find Him.Don't take my word for it,seek for yourself,or not,because God created is with free will.Take care,and I wish you well...

Ja als die twee samen zingen gebeurt er wat. Pauzeren hoeft niet hoor. Lucy en Cavendish records houden van reactievideos. Soms reageert Lucy ook zelf op zo'n reactie met een bedankje. Ze zullen je niet laten blokkeren of zo. Ze waarderen een link naar het origineel maar dat doe je al. Alle duetten van deze twee zijn pareltjes zoals je wel zal merken.
