Thank you for yet again being willing to embark on the emotional journey that inevitably comes from watching and listening to Lucy and Martha duet together. Is it any wonder that these duets are so so popular on RUclips. You rightly point out that 2024 comes with the greatest of expectations for Lucy but also for Martha and Chris Broom and the whole management team including Louise. Lucy will turn 20 in two months time and already she has produced five of the most exquisite albums of music I have ever had the pleasure to hear plus numerous other productions, in particular her Christmas specials. We still have videos of Pie Jesu, Hold On, A Thousand Years and Whiter Shade of Pale to look forward to and the Studio Cast Album for Rosie - The Musical is due for release in March. Later in the year, the musical will go live on stage with Lucy in the starring role. 2024 is going to be the year that Lucy achieves the recognition she so richly deserves. Recognition that she is a vocal artist of the most exceptional class and quality. Recognition that she is able to elicit powerful emotional responses from her audience every time she sings for us. I think, Juliet, that you can attest to that. Like you, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

You were talking a few reactions ago about girls voices breaking as boys do. It seemed for a couple of Martha Lucy duets recently that Martha's voice was changing a lot but she still sang her part very well. But here she sounds like it's settled back now and will just strengthen and mature as she grows. Her voice coach no doubt helped a lot.

I have just acquired new hearing aids that have separated the harmonies to a clearer level and Martha is growing so much with her abilities and strength. So excited for hearing more duets with Martha taking on bigger roles.
I stumbled across a Lucy video a few years ago, I think she was 14 or 15. It was her rendition of Run, and I was absolutely hooked!! I had never heard such a beautiful voice, and her ability to control her voice was so impressive. My Amazon Music playlist includes many of her songs, and as you stated, I so much look forward to what she plans to do in the new year. Also love when she sings with her sister, who is really coming into herself as a singer.
Lucy on her own is stunning, but I love that they continue to give us these sister duets- they are so special!

One can be so easily impressed by this young and delightful duet, these two angelical sisters. It's amazing to immediately realize that they complement each other to perfection. Juliet, you are beautiful! Even though Lucy and Martha's smiles at the end of the song managed to hold back the tears, your eyes were still a little moist.
I don't think Lucy's potential has been fully realised yet and Martha's voice has developed a lot. Her voice will always be darker and a little smokier than Lucy's, but it's very, very pleasant to listen to. Thank you for this great response. Merry Christmas and a healthy and peaceful 2024.💖

To me, Lucy is probably the best singer in the world. I'm a former musician and singer, I have heard all of the great ones. Martha is not too far behind. They sound and look like angels from Heaven. What a great performance!

Thank you for your analysis of the girls performance, Your reactions and descriptions of the techniques that they are using, continues to make me appreciate on how much work they put into what sounds so angelic ,a performance, that Lucy and Martha give us,each time they sing.
I do not have a lot of musical knowledge, but it looks to me , that Lucy increased her voice range...the hights notes looks to me new.
( There is a sound recorded of Lucy and Martha singing : Pie Jesus. There , Lucy is ,also getting a very hight note, that , I think she never did.)
I can’t wait to hear that one! But yes, in this one she mixed an “F” which I didn’t mention in the video, that’s the first time I heard her hit that note with so much power! 🤩
You need to hear Lucy Thomas sing the song Run at 10 and then she has another video at 15 singing the song Run. She is so incredible, she just gets better as grows. I would love your input.

There is SOOO much Love in the Family!! it's palatable and sweet!! I feel Lucy is an "Ol Soul" wise beyond her years, Martha Also has an understanding as well of her sis, and is Happy to Grow Together in their Adventure, called Life.. IMO

I heard their duet of Pie Jesu on Spotify and it is really good. I don't know if they plan to do a RUclips video for it. It's also (as well as Mary, Did You Know) on Lucy's latest album, Beyond.
This is not on any album. None of their Christmas songs are on albums.
I hope they do, but this one was a good substitute if they don’t!

@@zig_zagman Pie Jesus is on Beyond but you said and I quote “It’s also (as well as Mary, Did You Know) on Lucy’s latest album Beyond.” As you can see from the track listing Mary Did You Know is not. None of the three Christmas songs are on an album. 2 have been released as singles. Mary Did You Know has not as yet. It may be available as an audio only track on streaming services but I haven’t checked.

I look forward to your reaction to Lucy’s new release of A Whiter Shade of Pale, which I’m sure you’ll get to a some point. In particular, I’d love to hear your technical analysis of the vocal ornamentations she employs throughout the song that I guess are a form of melisma but seem uniquely precise and artistic.
When I heard that you might be doing a sort of mystery reaction I could not wait. Thanks so much for it. A person commenting on this song said that "their voices are so similar that it's like one voice singing both parts". There is truth to that I believe. Thanks Again and Happy Holidays! Hi Coach, I really like and enjoy your channel. I discovered Lucy and Martha a while back and tell many people about them. Haven't heard the sisters sing a song I didn't like and Lucy by herself same thing. What a wide variety of songs she sings without all the choreography and lights.
I always enjoy watching your reaction to the spectacular girls. Martha is now the same age that Lucy was when she sang Moon River on UK Kids. I would love to hear Martha solo Moon River to just prove that she is right on Lucy's track. I do learn a lot from you breaking down the performances. I am surprised that you did not comment on the animation of both girls singing this masterpiece. Happy New Year!!

I had another comment that I forgot to say before. Everytime Lucy hits one of those high notes it puts chill bumps a
all over. I'm sure that her voice will get richer but think about it she started at 13 years old. And the smiles do give you a time to come back down emotionally. By way there is no smile at the end of her lastest video it outstanding but no smile at the end.
Always enjoy your reaction to all the artists. I don't watch any of the other so call "Reactors" as I don't think they know what they are talking about.

You need to react to When You Believe. You’ve mentioned when Martha was younger(11 or 12) that at times she seemed a little, I’ll say bashful in their duets, but she really lets go in this song. Love your reaction videos!!
