On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. @@Noisy_Cricket That last F-15 was like a ghost. We knew there was only 1 plane left (3 splashes already) but it was crazy how it was firing on both of them and also unseen on the radars of both F-16s and the AWACS. Also no idea what the friendly AWACS was doing at the end. It didn't help at all.
That last eagle was his own AWACS, he knew where you guys were at all times. He might have had literal superhuman vision

Well shockwaves travel at exactly Mach 1. So as long as you are running over Mach 1 the shockwave can't hit you. Shrapnel might tho...
@@HuyV It's a little more complicated than that. Shockwaves usually straddle 2 flows with different Mach numbers, one supersonic and one subsonic. In the special case of detonations, the post-shock Mach starts highly subsonic due to the high temperature of the gases resulting in a very high speed of sound (important to note that this means the shock is still moving faster than sea level Mach 1) then as the shockwave expands outward it decelerates to mach 1 in the ambient airstream since it passes through cooler air. It's a little unclear that it would reach ambient Mach 1 so close to GS' plane

That triple dodge at 11:20 was crazy!
Those missiles only missed because they were in or had just finished their full burn traveling at Mach 2.5+ while GS was pulling 9G turns. With their inertia they couldn't turn fast enough to hit him, at least not as easily. If GS is not turning so much or the missiles were a bit farther out when fired the results may have been different. Still the pucker factor has to be quite high considering but I have to think those two factors together played a significant part of surviving the engagement.

I didn't expect to watch the whole thing but I'm glad it happened. Among the best points, "Here I am, I'm running, I'm crying..." had ME crying a little with laughter.

I dunno what was more impressive....Longshot's splash 3 or GS defeating 3 AMRAAMs in a row. Great work guys. I think I speak for many of us when I say more collaboration BVR engagements. Maybe even a 3 or 4 ship 😬

Tomcat and Hornet vs Eagle and Viper. 😂😂 That’s going to be a bloodbath. Navy A/C aren’t nearly as capable as Air Force b/c of the heavy duty
Landing gear. Besides the fact that the F-15C model radar is by far the best A/A radar out of the four.
That last Eagle fight was the equivalent to the Tom Cruise/Henry Caville bathroom fight in Mission Impossible.

I just want to point out: That triple missile dodge was crazy similar to the situation where that f-16 dodged 6 SAMs over Iraq. Crazy high G's, just fighting your life at that point.
I'd honestly like to see the audio overlaid onto the raw video of GS dodging the fox 3's, I bet it would fit pretty well.

This was Beautiful !!!! This was a beautiful Gen 4 + fight with a wingman. The fight will start out this way until you lose a wingman, not start fighting on your own. This is as real as it gets !!!
The BVR fight will be the main air battle of today and tomorrow but i wonder with the Gen 5s and forward... will we get closer to BFM dogfights and firing FOX 2s and GUNs in the day fight because the Stealth reduces RADAR detection and FOX 3 guidance ????
I am wondering with all these modern long range FOX 3 missiles designed to take out the old non-stealth AWACS EC-135s and the newer B-767 MIL EC-46 variants AWACS.
After the B-21 Raiders are fully to the frontline Units and fully replace the B-2 as the Main heavy stealth bombers... Are they thinking of taking the older but still serviceable 20 or so B-2 Spirit bomber stealth's and convert them to AWACS with a top RADAR dish that they could " standby " the RADAR transmission and data link transmission to the tactical fighting jets ????? it could go " quiet " if a enemy fired a long range FOX 3 at it. I think that would kind of help with this current strategy of killing the AWACS.

I love it when a plan come together.
Starting from 10:50, now I know the Hollywood magic is real. The missile dodged in this part is just like watching the scene in Top Gun: Maverick when they dropped the Bomb and being tracked by multiple SAM.

Nearly a perfect video. It was hard to tell whose vantage point was being used from second to second, but over-all an excellent video. Tied for 1st place IMHO, and Vipers whacking Eagles is icing on the cake!

Start fast and high to make the launch parameters better. Great thing about Vipers is their ability to get to the deck fast. I enjoy when you and LongShot work together. The videos are realistic and incredibly funny most of the time.
