I mean, define climb? Just about anything can gain speed in a climb if the climb is shallow enough. Or are we talking straight vertical here? If so thats mega impressive.

Though I never read the data, I was always told the F-15 was the only jet (in USAF anaway) that could actually gain speed in a vertical climb. That was shortly before the 22 rolled out, and I'm sure those can too. I've seen F-16s do vertical takeoffs a few times, but they would always roll out much sooner than the 15s would. If I remeber correctly they also did more of a steep climb and not so much a vertical. Then again I'm also biased and think the F-15 is the best aircraft every made. XD

Vtol was also really cool but I would really love to fly dcs and actually be busy with all these complex systems and having to pay attention to many little details ^^ Great video as always drew!

Also quick tip drew, you can display you electronic warfare on your hud. Didn’t know if you knew this but makes evading a tad bit better so you don’t have to look at your lower ddi.
I don’t know why but I have way more fun blowing up entire fleets, assault groups, squadrons and letting my jet engine rev at 1500km/h in a tunnel in Ace Combat 7 lmao
im an ao in the navy and wish they put the super hornet in the game. work on them every day and used to maintain them and prep the seat for pilots. its an annoying ass plane. the hornet is even worse
DemonicWave64 if you’re enjoying dcs you should buy a joystick as soon as you can, it makes a HUGE difference. if you have an xbox controller you can also use it as a temporary replacement for a joystick like i did, it gives you much more control than using keyboard

It was my dream as a kid to pilot too but.... life sometimes. I hope you keep your head on straight and make that dream come true. Also piece of advice, unless you are dead set on flying for the airforce go with the navy or marines. Its generally easier to get into their flight programs and their uniforms are a lot nicer and well who doesn't love a pilot in a cool uniform lol. But yes this is only available on pc sadly.
Its a great sim. Im one year in and no joke the learning curve is quite steep, but stick to it and you'll find yourself looking like the pros (SpudKnocker, Ralfiedude, Growling Sidewinder) [check these guys out. Great DCS content]
Im looking forward to a F15 Variant with 3D cockpit. I like the style of the F15 but since the current version doesnt have a interactive Cockpit im not a huge fan of. Learning the Tomcat atm and i have to say im in love with it. The F18 is fun and much easyer to fly then the F14 but boy oh boy is it fun to shoot some bandits from 100nm away^^
