Favourite villain is Ripto hands-down as he's probably considered to be Spyro's archenemy and he has the most challenging boss battle, but I agree that the Sorceress is the evilest of the three.
In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc turned gems into warriors who proceeded to invade the Dragonrealms. He then turned many dragons into stone. In Year of the Dragon, the sorceress has been ruling the Forgotten Realms for a long time. She, through Bianca, starts the plot by stealing the dragon's eggs. Moneybags allies with her. Throughout the worlds you see signs of her rule (like one world where a man tries to destroy a statue of her being built). Ripto? He unknowingly traps Spyro in Avalar by shooting the portal and keeps taking over castles. Otherwise he doesn't seem to be connected much to what's going on in the levels. It's not like the Breezebuilders were attacking the Landlubbers on his orders or something.
My favorite is Ripto because of the constant interactions with him during the game. Also him and his henchmen are still my favorite boss fights in the classic games.
The Sorceress hands down! Gnasty Gnorc went crazy because his feelings were hurt by the dragon elders, while Ripto simply hates dragons for no reason and wants to take control of the realm. The Sorceress, on the other hand, is willing to kill and disembowel innocent baby dragons for purely selfish reasons. That alone is enough to make her completely reprehensible.
Do you think all those love letters in Gnasty's room were written by him just so he can have some shred of self-confidence? We don't know much about his backstory, but Vivi's comments about Gnasty's mom and how gems remind Gnasty of his flaws makes me think he has a lot of insecurity due to an abusive past.
My favorite villain is obviously Ripto, he's the arch nemesis of Spyro. He's the Frieza to Spyro's Goku, The Joker to Spyro's Batman. In many ways Ripto is a dark mirror of Spyro. They're both short for their species but where Spyro proves himself despite his size Ripto gave in to his hatred and lashes out at anyone who would mock him. He earns everyone's fear where Spyro earns everyone's respect. When it comes to darkest villain the answer is obviously the Sorceress. She wants to rip the wings from baby dragons just to make an immortality spell, she even says killing them will be more convenient since they won't wriggle around so much when the harvest starts. Gnasty Gnorc just turned the Dragons to crystal, Ripto just wanted to kill Spyro and rule over Avalar, the Sorceress wants to harvest/kill infants for immortality, that makes her more dark then Gnasty and Ripto in my books. Killing/torturing children crosses every single line.
Except for one thing In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc turned gems into warriors who proceeded to invade the Dragonrealms. He then turned many dragons into stone. In Year of the Dragon, the sorceress has been ruling the Forgotten Realms for a long time. She, through Bianca, starts the plot by stealing the dragon's eggs. Moneybags allies with her. Gnasty Gnorc's story: "Gnasty Gnorc used to be living with the dragons in the Artisans World of the Dragon World. Until he was banished and exiled to another homeworld of the Dragon World: Gnasty's World. In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc watched the news reports on TV, and he just found out why he was exiled from the Dragon World. Because the Dragons made fun of him and called him ugly, and then Gnasty got ticked off and he turned all of the 80 dragons into crystal statues except for Spyro. And then Gnasty Gnorc was defeated by Spyro. And then in the epilogue of Spyro 3, Gnasty Gnorc met Ripto and partnered up each other to get their revenge on Spyro. And in Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Gnasty Gnorc had finally returned and he worked for an evil elder dragon named Red by planting the dark gems in the Dragon Realms. Until he was defeated by Spyro once again. And in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, Gnasty Gnorc is a guest racer along with Spyro and Hunter, but he really want to beat Spyro in the race for his double revenge." Ripto's story: "Ripto used to live in Chateau Ripto of the Dragon Realms, and the reason why he hates the dragons so much because he was been picked and bullied by the dragons, and Ripto was ticked off with his rage. And then he found Crush and Gulp from Molten Craters to make to be his henchmen. In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, Ripto, Crush and Gulp arrived in the Avalar World to rule it and brought war to this world. Until Spyro arrived in Avalar World and defeated Ripto and his henchmen. But Ripto survived from lava. In the epilogue of Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, Ripto met Gnasty Gnorc and partnered each other to get their revenge on Spyro. But Ripto returned in Spyro 2: Season of Flame, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs. But he was defeated Spyro again in like four times. But he was getting tired of that. And in the crossover game: Crash Bandicoot Purple and Spyro Orange, Ripto met Crash's arch-enemy: Dr. Neo Cortex to teamed up to destroy Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. But Cortex and Ripto were defeated by Crash and Spyro." The Sorceress' story: "The Sorceress lived in the Forgotten World. But the Sorceress and the Dragons had a huge argument for something. But she banished the dragons to the Dragon World. But she doesn't realize that the Dragons are apart of the magic in the Forgotten World. In Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, the Sorceress had sent her former apprentice: Bianca, and her army of Rhynocs to steal the dragon eggs from the Dragon World. The reason why she wanted the dragon eggs so much, she was gonna bout to kill the baby dragons to collect their wings to make herself immortality to kept herself alive for a thousand of years. Until Spyro arrived the Forgotten World and defeated the Sorceress two times. But the Sorceress finally died in the pink lava in the Super Bonus World." I think the Sorceress is a most threaded villain in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. And I had no idea how did Ripto survive from the lava. And I think Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto will be returned in new Spyro game in 2021. And speaking of new Spyro game, I think it'll be a new threaded villain in new Spyro game in 2021. So, what do you guys think about the three villains' stories of Spyro series? And who do you think that are the most threaded villains in Spyro series? And do you think that Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto will return to get their revenge on Spyro in new Spyro game in 2021 after new Crash Bandicoot game in 2020? 🙂
@@leeeroyjenkins555 Yeah. Well, Red is an evil Elder Dragon from Spyro: A Hero's Tail. And the Sorcerer is an evil Purple Dragon from Spyro: Shadow Legacy. And Cynder used to be evil, but she was been used by Malefor the Dark Master the first Purple Dragon whom ever existed.
@@leeeroyjenkins555 I met the "Sorcerer" from Spyro: Shadow Legacy on DS. Not the "Sorceress" from Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon that I was talking about. You know, the 'Sorcerer" from Spyro: Shadow Legacy. Take a look on Spyro Wiki about the "Sorcerer".
Off all 3 Ripto is my favorite And how at end of 3rd game we saw Ripto and Gnasty where discussing their Spyro problem means that they can use that as a plot for new game(if they just ignore Enter the Dragonfly and Hero’s Tail from main cannon)
@@VtnVivi I think you should remind everyone that this video is supposed to emphasize on who is the darkest villain in the Classic Spyro universe, NOT asking a question about who is their favorite Classic Spyro villain.
Ripto is like a magical version of Neo Cortex hes tiny, he relys to much on his power, he likes to provoke his enemies and hes adorable of some sort xd I would love to see Cinder as a boss for OG Spyro in a future game.
I'm thinking that part of the reason that the sorceress has her egg staff when banishing Astor, is just to make her look more evil and menacing. and hardware limitations back on the ps1 probably couldn't do it justice. just a theory.
The argument between the sorceress and the dragons was probably caused from the sorceress herself since she decide to use one of the eggs as a part for her new magic staff and... after the baby dragon inside the egg was born...she just BRUTALLY killed him in the SLOWEST way possible...
11:35 Sheila mentions that Dragons used to live in the Forgotten Realms 1000 years ago, Spyro says the same thing to the professor at the end of the game. The book the Professor bought to find the Dragon Realms was ancient, it leading him to the Forgotten Realms and being really cheap also cements the 1000 year timestamp. In the cutscene with Bianca and Hunter, we see Astor and the Sorceress talking with each other. Then she zaps him and apparently all the other Dragons out of the soon to be named Forgotten Realms and into the soon to be named Dragon Realms.
Dang... When Spyro says "by a thousand years" I never once thought to take anything out it :O As for Sheila, she did mention that dragons used to rule this world, did she really say 1000 years ago or is my mind just rusty?
@@VtnVivi There are cutscenes all over youtube. Just watch the Shelia one and refresh your memory. That was one of the biggest lore bombs in Spyro, finding out that the Dragon Realms wasn't the Dragons homeland but where they were banished by the Sorceress. Sgt Bird also mentions the 1000 year timestamp in his cutscene as well, though he thought the Dragons were extinct for that period of time. 1000 years has to be the number given how it's mentioned at least 3 times.
@@VtnVivi Also Dragons didn't rule the Forgotten Realms, they just lived there. Maybe Astor was the Dragon representative on a council, but I don't think the Dragons ruled over everyone there. Though that would be a good plot point in a future game, Spyro finding out his kind aren't as noble as we've seen them so far. They could even go into Ripto's backstory to show he was abused by Dragons of his native realm, explaining where a lot of his hatred comes from.
Hope you don't mind me cutting in but maybe in a new Spyro game the developers make spyro team up with the "bad guys" and dark spyro is created? So then the dragon elders will may be mindless slaves and so Elora, hunter, sheila, sergeant Byrd, agent 9 etc , become the new hero's of the next game, making spyro 4? And I just found out that gulp had been working for gnasty gnorc , and is so a dinosaur and isn't molten crater in the 3 game so that could mean that ripto, gnasty and the sorceress all lived in the dragon realms at the same time but never really knew about each other at the time. Plus how can gulp talk in enter the dragonfly, but not in riptos rage?
In addition to the Baby Dragon's Wings, the Sorceress would probably also get Spyro's wings if she managed to kill him, though whether she would keep Spyro's Wings as a Trophy or use them as an ingredient in her Immortality Spell I don't know, either would be extremely dark. Therefore I also think the Sorceress is the most evil Spyro Villain.
We can only wonder who the new villain will in the New Spyro 4 Or maybe Activision should start where Spyro left off from Shadow Legacy and Bring Back the Sorcerer Spyro and and the Elders have waited a LONG time And in Spyro's new games your aware of my For Spyro's Unlimited Flight Ability but god New Upgrade Able Qualities so they would Create a Purpose for Spyro's Flying Ability So let's hope and Spread the word for Spyro's new games coming 💜🔥❄️⚡️💧✨✈️🙏🌟🔮
@@diegobrando3409 well I was in development of an Awareness on that would have thought with more Spyro fans that agreed we could have succeeded Unfortunately not as many people agreed So now I’m doing the same thing for the new Spyro 4 Game But I want to try mixing things up try new approaches on how I spread the word fudging out on how to make it more convincing to the public Plus would have thought I could have placed Spyro on the news showing a fan has High Strong persistence for Spyro to Fly
Tachyon hates lombaxes because they banished his species to another dimension before he was born and when they found his egg and raised him they never told him the truth on who and what he was and many didn't trust him despite been raised by them.
If you look closely the Dragon almost looked like he knew Gnasty Gnorc was watching, you can tell by the face he makes when he calls Gnasty Gnorc "Ugly." 🤔
Kind of tough for me to choose a villain between Ripto and Sorceress since on one hand Ripto had all those screen times to banter with Spyro but on the other hand the Sorceress like you said pretty actually wanted to kill all those baby dragons. I am hoping to maybe see all three of these guys work together like in a future game perhaps, either that or pretty much just compete for total control of Spyro's world going at each other's throats. Either way seeing them again would be pretty cool ... as long as they don't use Ripto too many times like the other post IG Spyro games. 😅
Ripto is the best villain and maybe the most iconic compared to Gnasty. I find Gnasty cute a little, poor boyo. But I still like Sorceress a lot because how evil she is.
The Sorceress is CLAWS DOWN the most evil Spyro villain out of her, Ripto, and Gnasty Gnorc (PLEASE bring the other two to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Beenox!). Though if we're going with the classic series as a whole, I would put the Sorceror at Numbah 2 (see what did there?!). And if we're talking about The Legend of Spyro trilogy, I would say Malefor is the most evil out of him, Gaul, and Cynder by FIVE adult dragon tails!!
Yeah I was gonna say sorceress for sure. Ripto has a bad case of short guy syndrome and gnasty also suffered an inferiority complex, however Riptos was deeper and went far further. The games came in the right order least to most evil.
also don't forget that in the second game ripto's rage, some levels in winter tundra required you to obtain orbs, as well as in autumn plains with the stuck door. that should explain their importance too am I right?
In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc turned gems into warriors who proceeded to invade the Dragonrealms. He then turned many dragons into stone. In Year of the Dragon, the sorceress has been ruling the Forgotten Realms for a long time. She, through Bianca, starts the plot by stealing the dragon's eggs. Moneybags allies with her. In the original PS1 Spyro the Dragon manual, it says in the prologue, “On a nice sunny day, Gnasty crystallized all the Dragons then turned all the gems he could find into his willing minions. He even began turning the Dragon Worlds into Gnorc Worlds! But the one little detail he didn’t count on was Spyro the Dragon. Spyro just happened to be playing hooky-again-and missed getting crystallized by Gnasty’s spell.”
Great analysis theory video Vivi! Loved it! Btw, I think the Sorceress is a great villain out of bunch, but that's not to say that the Ripto and Gnasty suck, they're approachable. Also, I remember seeing her hand pop out at the end from Lava. Could be the upcoming 4th Spyro game if they ever continue from the 3rd.
I think the whole banishment of dragons was over the fact that the Sorceress had stolen an unborn dragon/egg and was using it for magic which is pretty dark
I do have a theory on where Ripto and the Professor got their hands on their so called "power crystals" and why those crystals don't need dragon power for magic. TLDR I think those may have been acquired from Crash's dimension. In Crash Purple/Spyro Orange Ripto went through a portal to Crash's dimension to team up with Cortex. My theory is since that particular portal was in the dragon worlds in Spyro's dimension Ripto could have used it before. That also explains why he didn't stay there because since there was a portal in the dragon worlds dragons could easily get there despite not going there often. As to how the Professor got his hands on one it isn't too far fetched to believe he took a few orbs and managed to either make a portal that also went to Crash's world or he locked onto it's magical signature and brought it directly to Avalar. Its not to far fetched considering just 6 crystals from Crash's universe could warp Cortex's entire lab to the 10th dimension by changing their magical power through a bunch of mechanical orb shaped devices. (Gee that sounds familiar.)
It's quite odd that the Sorceress kind of reminds me of Queen Mary...She just wants to kill all the dragons, and use their power to become young and strong...That's just wrong! 😨😨😨
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 Yeah, I guess that would work too. Are we talking the original fairy tale or the Disney movie that came out in the 1930’s? 😊
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 I guess she did have that kind of thing going on, but she transformed herself into something, bleh, to poison Snow White. She didn’t really do anything to make her young again. I don’t know, perhaps I need to rewatch the movie! 🤔
I think the original game makes more sence of Gnasty Gnorc since it shows him standing on his throne and somehow hearing the broadcast while not specifically to be shown watching or listening it wich indicates to more magical powers than the dragons assume. Him already standing in his palace like a tyrant and not hanging around in his incel appartment also indicates that he is at that moment already fully prepared for assaulting the other realms and being called ugly is the final straw ''that does it''. As for all the dragons except Spyro being chrystallized and not having an impact to the story once released other than informative collectibles is just an easy way to kickstart the adventure where gameplay and level design are the main things, not the ''story''. Like Crash Bandicoot who falls off from a tower and does not climb right back or use some other means to get there but has to go through all kinds of different unrelated levels until reaching the top. On a sidenote even more recent character action games have ysed this going up and down a tower thing for example DMC3 and GOW3.
ok, The Sorceress is without a doubt the worst of this trio but remember how you need to beat her twice to get the "true" ending of the game (100%)? in short she had TWO eggs, so the egg on her staff provided the magical attack boost while the other egg provided life extension. In other words THAT'S why she lived for so long as is but the benefits of that spell were fading with the rest of that magic and she wanted to stay that way, so she felt that with the wings of 100 baby dragons could give her eternal life and youth instead of prolonging it by minute methods...either way both of those eggs could've been in her keeping when she banished the dragons, and the main reason that ONE dragon confronted her was to take those eggs back but she was demanding to have more of their eggs to fuel her power further but they refused so she banished them without thinking that the Life extending egg would and could only last for a limited time. What do you think?
@@VtnVivi thank you, I'm a die VERY hard Spyro fan, it's through him that I remmeber my mother who passed away 14 years ago to breast cancer, so I'm ALL about knowing as much as I can with cannon Spyro with the 3 og games plus The Legend trilogy.
Gnasty Gnorc:Giant Gnorc. In Spyro 1, He was exiled by dragons and angry about called being simple and ugly. Gnasty Gnorc was defeated by Spyro and later work with Red in Spyro 5, and finally dead. Ripto:Smallest and most angry Riptoc that hates dragons. He was not joined the game when he is young. In Spyro 2, ruled Avalar with Crush and Gulp, defeated by Spyro and fell into lava. But he survived and returned in Spyro 4 with his Riptocs. But defeated again. Sorceress:Evil and angry dinosaur queen. In Spyro 3, Once a argument with dragon and sent them in Dragon Realm. Later Bianca the former disciple and Rhynocs take the dragon eggs into Forgotten Realm to live forever. And Bianca became good and defeated by Spyro and died in purple poison. Red:Fallen Dragon. He was a good dragon, but corrupted by Sorcerer. In Spyro 5, gathering Dark Gem and leading Gnorcs but defeated by Spyro and get smaller. Later in Spyro 6, he became good again. Sorcerer:Prideful dragon demon. In Spyro 6, he corrupted Red and dragged Dragon realm, Avalar, and Forgotten realm into Shadow realm to gathering dark power of magic. After Red became good and Sorcerer also defeated by Spyro. My favorite is Ripto and Sorcerer
To me it goes from least evil to most Gnasty Gnorc then Ripto then the most evil is i agree The Sorceress. I feel Gnasty Gnorc could have been good if the dragons would have just been a little nicer or had a good friend but was turned by feeling alone and disliked by the dragons and that lead him to start to grow cold. Ripto was also bullied however unlike Gnorc he seems to have a dark side that i feel is a internal flaw namely he seems like he wants power and also seems to go out of his way to get it even if it hurts others and his hate seems even deeper then Gnorc's since he attacked a land to make his own just for said power. The sorceress is the worse do to the fact she is a lot like Ripto but there are 2 things i feel that make her worse. 1.She was never bullied from what i have heard not saying being bullied means you should do the things the past 2 villains did but lets face it it gives the villain some humanity. 2.Her cruelty even ripto seemed to somewhat care about his allies sorceress not so much.
You know about the fact that Gnasty says SIMPLE? NO TREAT? UGLY? Well, when he says NO TREAT it was like once upon a time he was REALLY dangerous until the dragons defeat him... and all that insults REIGNITED his treatning side enough to cristalyze ALL the dragons and turn the gems in warriors. Maybe he also became extremely BLOODTHIRSTY for this but then... he calmed himself after all this, despite being happy for causing so much disorders in all the dragon kingdom
Gnasty Gnorc is in fact protected by Sparx in CTRNF and has Aku Aku as his tutor in the Adventure Mode and he doesn’t really do anything evil in the original Spyro the Dragon
Sorceress is the purest evil. She's a baby killer! And I don't honestly know which of the villains frm the OG would be my favourite... I loove them all as a bunch. I know that Gnasty would be my least favourite for sure tho. Oh! I know! Moneybags.
Watching this makes me think of something that always comes back to me; game devs can technically start us anywhere they want without telling us and leave anything unsaid, especially with earlier games like Spyro. So, what if there's a whole story left untold? What if Spyro's group of dragons were actually outcasts themselves and got banished (along with gnasty gnorc) for being mischievous and general nuisances to the rest of the dragon society? Maybe there are even MORE dragons than what we see but we're only put in with the smallest group who happened to be exiled from the rest?
@@VtnVivi Funny enough I can see Spyro Flame and Ember finding out their race's past and history of The Dragon especially with what might have happened to their parents.
Ripto is the most iconic Spyro villain, but The Sorceress (she really needs a name) is hands down the most evil. Deceitful, cruel, psychotic, pitiless, vain, selfish, domineering, etc.
The Sorceress is still nothing compared to Malefor from the Legend Trilogy. Malefor is Spyro’s iteration of Emperor Palpatine. It would be awesome if they do a series of Spyro games with storylines that mirror the entire Skywalker Saga (the nine episodic Star Wars films). Dawn of the Dragon is basically a splice of episodes VI and IX with Malefor’s return explained in Eternal Night.
There are RUclips videos that basically turn the cutscenes of each game of the Legend Trilogy into a movie. Dark Spyro didn’t exist for the Spyro of the Original PlayStation Trilogy, for either the original PlayStation version or Reignited. Yet, Dark Spyro is a skin for players to use in Crash Team Racing.
The Sorceress wasn't the only darkest main point YotD had, those 2 poor rhinocs who were forcibly turned into vicious monsters and let's not forget Buzz's agonizing death after you defeat him was terribly sad and horrifying to witness
@@LuigiFonzar Everytime you take out an enemy in this game they disappear and explode into dust particles, so dosen't that make all the playable characters a bunch of murderers? even after 3 years this game still disappoints me for how cruel and evil it really was 😔
About sorceress her death was the most painful like pulling in jelly in which she can't move and died because of not heaving air. Hmmmm wanted to be immortal, get the cruelest death for attempting killing baby dragons ripping their wings off, she's a monster and she deserved this death, and in every villains of spyro trilogy becоming more menacing. But my favorite villain is ripto and i prefer reigneted design and his boss battle is one of my favorite final bosses in games overrall and he's more challenging but seriously becoming a bigger target on phase 2, and thanks for telling about them so much more Sorceress; Spike execute order 66, i want you tear apart all baby dragons and ripping their wings off, no mercy It's time for another refference; Sorceress; only immortal life makes sence
It would have been very bad if the Sorceress enacted her plan to steal the Dragon Eggs 12 Years before the events of Spyro Year of the Dragon because if I remember correctly, Spyro was only 12 years old in that game since the Year of the Dragon and new Brood of eggs only happens every 12 years and 12 years earlier than that and he would have still been an egg, that would have meant no one unless at least least one of the older dragons were smaller like present Spyro's Size, no one would have been able to rescue Spyro and the other Baby Dragons from the Sorceress in the Forgotten Worlds.
CartoonFanMillion Oh man that would make Spyro's Past dark and troubled and sad and him not remembering how it happened since he would just a baby at the time and his family doesn't tell him what happened until it's time when he's now the age we know him as.
don't forget to talk about red/mecha-red from hero's tail, grendor from season of ice, cynder from a new beginning, gaul from the eternal night, malefor from dawn of the dragon, and kaos from skylanders (even though that's not a real spyro game)
sorry I'm late to the party VIVI. but anyway I've been really looking forward to you doing this sort of video with spyro as you haven't done enough of these theory type videos. awesome work!
Ripto is the only villain that really interacted with Spyro. Nasty just ran and shot at him and the sorceress never said a word to him. This probably makes Ripto the best villain, but the sorceress is EASILY the most evil.
Crash and Spyro. I hope they make a Crash Purple / Spyro Orange remake. Instead of just mini games, I hope it becomes a detailed story with fun levels.
The Sorceress is my favorite Spyro Villain along with The Sorcerer and The Evil Sorceress should become a recurring character she's say better than Gnasty
I once theorized that a dragon almost killed Ripto due to the scars on his lips, and I commented on that in one of your earlier videos. Considering that the elder dragons banished and triggered Gnasty without any remorse and turned Ripto into a toy (possibly bullied him in the past), the elder dragons might be the real villains for the first two games.
@@VtnVivi The Sorcerer could fit that it be surprising if he was a former Dragon Elder turned completely evil as his backstory is still unknown. I be surprised if he turned out to be Spyro's Father.
the reasons of them corrupting whit dark magic a young female dragon for turnig her into the deadliest weapon ever Gnasty Gnorc:TRIGGERD Ripto:TRIGGERD The Sorceress:TRIGGERD Malefor:Because he can
Why did Gnasty Gnorc not crystalize Spyro? My take is that they're friends (or at least frienemies) Spyro probably stumbled into the junkyard beforehand and they probably hit it off... would also explain why in the 120% ending, Gnasty Gnorc crystalized the dragons again and excluding Spyro (even though he trash-talked him, he was still saying positive things about him) While being bullied could have been a root cause for his hatred towards dragons, Ripto was just a straight up jerk. Especially if you take into account of the cut commentary from the prototype builds (which was then reinstated for the japanese version) The Sorceress... while that staff in the flashback could be an error due to not being in the original; If it wasn't a mistake and they intended for her to already kidnap the egg over 1000 years ago (which was stated by Sheila, SGT Byrd, Sparx, and Spyro), then that means the magic got drained over that time, killing the baby dragon (which would then add child-abuse and abortion to her charges) ... But with the new hatchlings that were kidnapped and brought over, the magic might have caused a revival to the egg. Meaning she might have found out and kept it for the final fight in the flying saucer. (Clarification: "Super Bonus Rounds" needed, and i quote, "All the dragon eggs" in order to get in... meaning there were only 149 eggs that year; making the final egg's description "Woo, A Secret Egg" have some meaning [potential necromancy?]... also, death has no meaning in the series since Ripto came back in "Season of Flame", and both Hunter and The Sorceress are able to survive in lava)
I think that maybe a majority of the females live in another part of the Dragon Worlds. It would sort of make sense, considering you hardly see any female dragons among the elders. Kind of like how turtles meet up on a shoreline to mate, nest their eggs and then leave.. Maybe the female and male dragons have that one season of mating, nest their eggs and then they part ways. The eggs are probably left with the male elder dragons because they're able to mold their upbringing in a way that they can protect themselves.
You do see female dragons in the games. Some of the babies from the eggs you find are girls. Maybe the female dragon who talked about him must've been one of them. It is weird how the eggs will only hatch when you find them. "un-frozed" Guess that's how the sorceress kept her staff all those years.
I call it propaganda, I mean that the dragons originally came from the forgotten world's. This means that the dragons had to migrate to a new land. Which was properly be inhibited by gnorcs and other inhabitants
I prefer the original over the remake as Ripto and his henchmen's designs go, tbh, and the same goes for their voice acting(not to mention how Gulp's Cut-scene and Boss fight begin)......But then again, that's just me :| Anyway, I think the Sorceress(lazy name imho)is the darkest villain of the original Spyro Trilogy, and Ripto my favorite(but I still prefer the classic designs). P.S. I never knew Ripto was bullied; OR Gnasty Gnorc at that D: ......I never thought I'd find a Spyro villain to relate with, let alone TWO of them......(The Sorceress gets NO sympathy from me. I HATE that witch!!)
oh hey VIVI, something will kingdom hearts overall, I know it's classified as an action RPG, but it also has segments of platforming too like crash and spyro wouldn't you say? I know they're not focused as much in terms of gameplay, as the RPG elements comes first, but what do you think overall?
Gnasty seriously just wanted to be left the fuck alone. He had the dragon ass- kicking device, and didn't use it until those asshole dragons went and made a big stink about it, and just take the opportunity of his attention to just lay into him. I definitely vibe with him.
What if Ripto and the Sorceress were revived from their fossils in future a future Spyro game? (like in Pokémon, fossil Pokémon get revived from their fossils)
I thought between gnasty gnorc or the sorceress, but Ripto enslaving the other residents. Still the sorceress ia the evilest of what she wants to do to the baby dragons
my favourite is definitely gnasty!! i only played the first game back in the day and he just reminds me of my childhood :) but playing the games now i gotta admit i really like ripto. hes so smol ~ the croc lady didnt grow on me tho
By "darkest," do you mean most evil, most tragic backstory, or most mysterious. ... The Sourcerss is clearly the most evil, and Gnasty the least evil of ths main villains. Unless you count Toasty as a main villain. I would actually count Toasty as Chaotic-Good. ... Ripto is the most mysterious, as we don't know alot about his backstory and motives.
Oh and I think rypto and nasty were both build by dragons gezez why are they so mean to these guys? And spyro saved them from them?? Well I suppose he didn't know he was pretty still a baby after all besides they must have done something wrong for the dragons to treat this way right? Or are they just jerks??
also VIVI I'm guessing you saw the new kh3 remind DLC trailer that got leaked yesterday! OMG I can't believe how good it looks but at the same time I feel really sorry for the guy who's gonna get his ass fired at square enix as it wasn't meant to come out later this week apparently. either during the next state of play or the game awards.
I have a theory about the female dragons, and why they aren't around...My theory is that they die after laying their eggs, and the fathers have to be fully responsible for their children; however, I have another theory...Maybe after they lay their eggs they fly off never to be seen again...Why else would their be no female dragons!? 🤷♀️
VTNVIVI I know, but some insects live their lives like that, so I don't know...Since dragons are mysterious creatures, this could also apply to them! 🤔
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 I honestly don’t think I’ve ever played that game before, so I wouldn’t have known. I only played up to three, and the third game is probably my favourite out of all of the ones I’ve played. I’m curious, which one’s your favourite? 😊
But also VIVI after this new upcoming winter festival Grand Prix in CTR nitro fuelled coming out very soon, do you think there'll actually be more Grand Prixs after that? I know it was datamined that there would be quite a while ago, but I really hope if they go up until the June, the 1 year anniversary of the game, that they add big emperor velo into the game as well as the story mode for cnk, as it would be the most perfect way to end it overall. You know what I mean?
Favourite villain is Ripto hands-down as he's probably considered to be Spyro's archenemy and he has the most challenging boss battle, but I agree that the Sorceress is the evilest of the three.
Well said!
@@VtnVivi Thanks, there are more reasons he's my favourite but I found it unnecessary to list them here.

That's what I loved about Spyro 2!
Beautifully summarized!
He's also Lord Zedd to Spyro's Power Rangers.
Except for one thing

I would like to see Spyro face off against a new villain we never got to see in The Spyro Series.
Like a Hydra Dragon Villain.
I only realised a few years ago that the dragons brought Gnasty's attack on themselves.
Danny Palin this makes Gnasty the most justified villain of the series.
And in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, Gnasty Gnorc is a guest racer along with Spyro and Hunter, but he really want to beat Spyro in the race for his double revenge."
Ripto's story: "Ripto used to live in Chateau Ripto of the Dragon Realms, and the reason why he hates the dragons so much because he was been picked and bullied by the dragons, and Ripto was ticked off with his rage. But Cortex and Ripto were defeated by Crash and Spyro."
The Sorceress' story: "The Sorceress lived in the Forgotten World. But the Sorceress finally died in the pink lava in the Super Bonus World."
I think the Sorceress is a most threaded villain in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy.
You know, maybe the dragons are the actual villains...
Also Gnasty and Ripto pretty much be like "We all live on a society"
@@leeeroyjenkins555 Yeah. Well, Red is an evil Elder Dragon from Spyro: A Hero's Tail. And the Sorcerer is an evil Purple Dragon from Spyro: Shadow Legacy. And Cynder used to be evil, but she was been used by Malefor the Dark Master the first Purple Dragon whom ever existed.

Off all 3 Ripto is my favorite
And how at end of 3rd game we saw Ripto and Gnasty where discussing their Spyro problem means that they can use that as a plot for new game(if they just ignore Enter the Dragonfly and Hero’s Tail from main cannon)
YES
I'd say the Sorceress, since she tried to kill all the dragon hatchlings by ripping their wings off to use them for a magic spell to become immortal.
For sure!
@@VtnVivi I think you should remind everyone that this video is supposed to emphasize on who is the darkest villain in the Classic Spyro universe, NOT asking a question about who is their favorite Classic Spyro villain.
Spyro: Dragon's used to live here?!?
Sheila: Didn't you know? They say it was over 1000 years ago I think.
Ripto is like a magical version of Neo Cortex hes tiny, he relys to much on his power, he likes to provoke his enemies and hes adorable of some sort xd
I would love to see Cinder as a boss for OG Spyro in a future game.
Thanks for watching!
I'm thinking that part of the reason that the sorceress has her egg staff when banishing Astor, is just to make her look more evil and menacing. and hardware limitations back on the ps1 probably couldn't do it justice. just a theory.
Well apart from that of course :P
*”YOU’RE UGLY!!”*
~ Gnasty Gnorc, Crash Nitro Fueled.
Megumi Bandicoot Gnasty is the most justified
In addition to the Baby Dragon's Wings, the Sorceress would probably also get Spyro's wings if she managed to kill him, though whether she would keep Spyro's Wings as a Trophy or use them as an ingredient in her Immortality Spell I don't know, either would be extremely dark. Therefore I also think the Sorceress is the most evil Spyro Villain.
With that, Soreceress would discover that Spyro is a special case, magic she's never seen before.
She'd probably keep Spyro's horns as a trophy.

Ripto reminds me of percival tachyon. Perhaps ripto is seeking some form of revenge and hates dragons just as tachyon hates lombaxes.
I know right :D
Tachyon hates lombaxes because they banished his species to another dimension before he was born and when they found his egg and raised him they never told him the truth on who and what he was and many didn't trust him despite been raised by them.
If you look closely the Dragon almost looked like he knew Gnasty Gnorc was watching, you can tell by the face he makes when he calls Gnasty Gnorc "Ugly." 🤔
Yeah I noticed that too!
VTNVIVI I know right, awesome! 👏😄😁👍
That's what I loved about Spyro 2, all that screen time with the bad guy!!!!!
i'd say ripto is my favorite, was always nice to see him in many cutscenes.
That's what I loved about Spyro 2.
I know a common theory is that Ripto hates dragons because dragons can naturally use magic while he had to learn.
Interesting!
Thanks for sharing!
Crush looks somewhat like a dragon
We all know that real villain here is freaking Moneybags
No doubt!
Gnasty's so bad, it only takes 2 hits to defeat him lol
Yeah I was gonna say sorceress for sure. Ripto has a bad case of short guy syndrome and gnasty also suffered an inferiority complex, however Riptos was deeper and went far further.
The games came in the right order least to most evil.
In short yes :)
also don't forget that in the second game ripto's rage, some levels in winter tundra required you to obtain orbs, as well as in autumn plains with the stuck door. that should explain their importance too am I right?
In Spyro the Dragon, Gnasty Gnorc turned gems into warriors who proceeded to invade the Dragonrealms. He then turned many dragons into stone.

Ripto? He unknowingly traps Spyro in Avalar by shooting the portal and keeps taking over castles. Otherwise he doesn't seem to be connected much to what's going on in the levels. It's not like the Breezebuilders were attacking the Landlubbers on his orders or something.
Her vs the elders!!!!!!
There's actually a second fight where she ultimately does in pink lava in the super bonus level.

She also reminds me of The Wicked Queen from Snow White.

Okay
Thanks for sharing! Although in the original Gnasty looked more prepared to assault, I still think prefer the new version.
ok, The Sorceress is without a doubt the worst of this trio but remember how you need to beat her twice to get the "true" ending of the game (100%)? in short she had TWO eggs, so the egg on her staff provided the magical attack boost while the other egg provided life extension.
Nice theory!

Thanks for sharing your take on this!
You know about the fact that Gnasty says
SIMPLE?
NO TREAT?
Oh! I know!

"The Sorceress is the darkest Spyro villain."
Reignited Malefor: hold my beer!
That's basically it when it comes to theories revolving around video games :P

The Sorceress wanted to perform baby genocide, hands down the most evil villain in Spyro.
I actually never played The Legend series.
There are RUclips videos that basically turn the cutscenes of each game of the Legend Trilogy into a movie.

Oh man that would make Spyro's Past dark and troubled and sad and him not remembering how it happened since he would just a baby at the time and his family doesn't tell him what happened until it's time when he's now the age we know him as.
don't forget to talk about red/mecha-red from hero's tail, grendor from season of ice, cynder from a new beginning, gaul from the eternal night, malefor from dawn of the dragon, and kaos from skylanders (even though that's not a real spyro game)
That is IF I've played all those :P
sorry I'm late to the party VIVI. but anyway I've been really looking forward to you doing this sort of video with spyro as you haven't done enough of these theory type videos. awesome work!
I feel I should do more!!!!!! Even with Crash :)
Ripto is the only villain that really interacted with Spyro. Nasty just ran and shot at him and the sorceress never said a word to him. This probably makes Ripto the best villain, but the sorceress is EASILY the most evil.
That's one thing I'd love to see return in a potential Spyro 4, more antagonist and protagonist interactions.
@@VtnVivi Definitely. It's almost no fun if the hero and villain never say anything to each other.
Crash and Spyro.
I hope they make a Crash Purple / Spyro Orange remake. Instead of just mini games, I hope it becomes a detailed story with fun levels.
If they make a nice platformer out of that then why not!
Some bad elders eh? That'd be a cool story for a future game!
@@VtnVivi
The Sorcerer could fit that it be surprising if he was a former Dragon Elder turned completely evil as his backstory is still unknown.
I be surprised if he turned out to be Spyro's Father.
The darkest villain is spyro 4 Obviously
haha
the reasons of them killing the dragons
gnasty gnorc: TRIGGERD
ripto: TRIGGERD
the sorrceres: because she can
the reasons of them corrupting whit dark magic a young female dragon for turnig her into the deadliest weapon ever
Gnasty Gnorc:TRIGGERD
Ripto:TRIGGERD
The Sorceress:TRIGGERD
Malefor:Because he can
I agreed with you before I even clicked the video. If you're a villain who is more than happy to commit genocide then yeah, you're way up there!
Why did Gnasty Gnorc not crystalize Spyro? My take is that they're friends (or at least frienemies) Spyro probably stumbled into the junkyard beforehand and they probably hit it off... would also explain why in the 120% ending, Gnasty Gnorc crystalized the dragons again and excluding Spyro (even though he trash-talked him, he was still saying positive things about him)
While being bullied could have been a root cause for his hatred towards dragons, Ripto was just a straight up jerk. Especially if you take into account of the cut commentary from the prototype builds (which was then reinstated for the japanese version)
The Sorceress... while that staff in the flashback could be an error due to not being in the original;
If it wasn't a mistake and they intended for her to already kidnap the egg over 1000 years ago (which was stated by Sheila, SGT Byrd, Sparx, and Spyro), then that means the magic got drained over that time, killing the baby dragon (which would then add child-abuse and abortion to her charges)
...
Gnasty's spell for crytalizing the dragons didn't worked on spyro because he is too tiny for getting damaged from that
I remember Bianca. She is a sexified bunny who throws balls into hoops and there were other animals.
9:40
Gulp:I'M HERE NOW!
I know right?
Ratchet looks so cool in that kingdom hearts outfit and so dose sly
Boy how I wish they where in brol
I'm glad you look them :P
You do see female dragons in the games. Some of the babies from the eggs you find are girls.
Maybe the female dragon who talked about him must've been one of them.
It is weird how the eggs will only hatch when you find them. "un-frozed"
Guess that's how the sorceress kept her staff all those years.
I think the biggest villain is the society, the one in wich they live in.
Aaaaahhhhh I just want to know more of there past! Ps she reminds me of miss ruby too but she was bullied and feared for being different
I call it propaganda, I mean that the dragons originally came from the forgotten world's. This means that the dragons had to migrate to a new land. Which was properly be inhibited by gnorcs and other inhabitants
"She's The Most Darkest Villain Out Of The Bunch."
I'm going to have to agree with you there Vivi lol! 😂😂😂
:P
VTNVIVI 😜
I'm not sure if the dragons are THE only power force of magic or ONE of the power forces of magic
You're right about that! I'd love this to be a plot in a future game!
I much prefer the new designs :P Thank you for sharing!
The Sorceress is a🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 🤬🤬🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!
Ripto's my favorite out of the three but I agree The Sorceress has to be the evilest out of the three of them
Thanks for sharing!
oh hey VIVI, something will kingdom hearts overall, I know it's classified as an action RPG, but it also has segments of platforming too like crash and spyro wouldn't you say? I know they're not focused as much in terms of gameplay, as the RPG elements comes first, but what do you think overall?
KH to me is mostly action RPG due to its battle elements! KH3 brought back a bit of that old platforming from KH1 :)
@@VtnVivi yeah I can definitely agree with that! Especially the treasure chests! I got a massive headache trying to find them all! Lol
Gnasty seriously just wanted to be left the fuck alone. He had the dragon ass- kicking device, and didn't use it until those asshole dragons went and made a big stink about it, and just take the opportunity of his attention to just lay into him. I definitely vibe with him.
Kind of like when you're in your own bubble and people start shouting.
Yae but it looks like before spyro 1 he was a TREAT
16:25 And that ladies and gentlemen is how to make your content not for children.
Et voila!
What if Ripto and the Sorceress were revived from their fossils in future a future Spyro game? (like in Pokémon, fossil Pokémon get revived from their fossils)
Hmm....Not entirely up to date with Pokemon :P
It would be awesome! In particular if it was Gnasty Gnorc doing it!
I thought between gnasty gnorc or the sorceress, but Ripto enslaving the other residents. Still the sorceress ia the evilest of what she wants to do to the baby dragons
The evilest of evil.
@@VtnVivi indeed
@VTNNVIVI Where did you get the quote from Donna Dragon?
my favourite is definitely gnasty!! i only played the first game back in the day and he just reminds me of my childhood :)
but playing the games now i gotta admit i really like ripto. hes so smol ~
the croc lady didnt grow on me tho
Aww
Sourcerous is the most dark
Ripto is the overall best
Gnasty Gnorc is the most justified
Short and sweet :)
VTNVIVI and thank you for the fun video 🤙
Lore of Spyro The Dragon Trilogy - Darkest Villain - Analysis - Theory momentum 100
My favorites is the sorceress
I'd go with Ripto :)
Most evil is what I was going for.
Personally i think malefor is the most evil spyro villain
Oh and I think rypto and nasty were both build by dragons gezez why are they so mean to these guys? And spyro saved them from them?? Well I suppose he didn't know he was pretty still a baby after all besides they must have done something wrong for the dragons to treat this way right? Or are they just jerks??
That's why I'd love for them to expand on the dragons' past, were they basically jerks?
@@VtnVivi yeah
Shame dude missed the GULPing it down pun
Oospie poopsie
also VIVI I'm guessing you saw the new kh3 remind DLC trailer that got leaked yesterday! OMG I can't believe how good it looks but at the same time I feel really sorry for the guy who's gonna get his ass fired at square enix as it wasn't meant to come out later this week apparently. either during the next state of play or the game awards.
Yep saw it..... O_O
i love your videos
Love you too :P
Who Is Your Favorite Villain in This Trilogy
Ripto :)
Nice One & Your Video was interesting
@@seanpvs101moviesproduction3 Thank you!
VTNVIVI Your Welcome 🙏
1:24 had to stop here I thought I heard Dr futa dragon..
Fruda :P
Ripto 🥰
I have a theory about the female dragons, and why they aren't around...My theory is that they die after laying their eggs, and the fathers have to be fully responsible for their children; however, I have another theory...Maybe after they lay their eggs they fly off never to be seen again...Why else would their be no female dragons!? 🤷♀️
That first part sounds so sad :(
VTNVIVI I know, but some insects live their lives like that, so I don't know...Since dragons are mysterious creatures, this could also apply to them! 🤔
@@colleenglanville8293
There's female dragons in Spyro A Hero's Tail.
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 I honestly don’t think I’ve ever played that game before, so I wouldn’t have known. I only played up to three, and the third game is probably my favourite out of all of the ones I’ve played. I’m curious, which one’s your favourite? 😊
@@colleenglanville8293
I like the first three Enter The Dragonfly A Hero's Tail Shadow Legacy Spyro 2 Season of Flame and Spyro Attack of The Rhynocs.
Going off BetaM's track record, yes I believe we'll get more after December's Grand Prix. As for it lasting til June, I wouldn't bet on it.
@@VtnVivi me neither lol
Where did the egg comes from...well ever heard of hermaphroditism in animals?
Hermaphroda..... no.
Are you hyped for crash Bandicoot's game in 2020 + the 6th grand Prix season? I dunno why 6th grand prix hasn't started yet
Absolutely!
Is there going to be a spyro 4?
If they have rilla roo in ctr nitro-fueled, than why a crash bash remaster was to not happen I'll never know
The darkest is the darkest villain
Case closed.
I've never heard that theory about it being a rude to train Spyro. It's a stupid theory.
Gnasty Gnorc was a big joke boss two hits was just weak
Question When Some Called Nasty Gronc Ugly Then You Called Ripto Shorty Why you Call the Sorceress Fatty 😏
My Fav is Ripto
