    Thanks Guys!
    I haven't had any problems with static in 6000 + miles! Definitely not going to start some problems by putting that junk or ethanal in my tank! Not to mention having that bottle bouncing around with you wherever you go and busting open!

      @@JESSEJAMES322 I don't think anyone is blaming your or the dealer relaying the news. But giving away one free bottle of the additive isn't really gonna cut it. Bassically they'd need to provide a supply for the lifetime of the machine, since one bottle inkt last so long then we are on the hook for an added expense to run in the higher hp mode non eth. And let's be real it's a significant difference between the two modes

    The other thing that seems to be debated is whether or not it’s if the sleds been sitting and wasn’t full or if it needs this each time to you fill assuming non-eth fuel in the tank. They made it sound like the issue is from sitting fuel and if the tank isn’t full

    I call complete and total BS on this. They built this motor specifically to function on 91 non-ethanol to get the most power. Now they're telling us to switch the computer setting and run ethanol fuel. What's worse is I've seen threads about people in the recent past being denied warranty claims on blown motors because Polaris did a fuel test and discovered ethanol in the fuel. So this sounds like a great way to get them out of paying warranty claims. This was the last straw for me; I am selling everything I own that is Polaris. Oh get this -- I bought a new 2024 Sportsman 850 back in March. Two months later they issued a Stop Ride recall, something about a potential fuel pump leak. They didn't have a fix until SEPTEMBER, leaving us without a usable machine for the entire Summer. WTF.

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  3 месяца назад +1

      they are not telling you to switch the mode to non ethanol. ONLY IF YOU ARE RUNNING FUEL WITH ETHANO. Bruce and myself explained this in exact detail in this video. i get everyone is frustrated but watching the video and listening explains all you need to know. if you have ethanol fuel you run in ethanol mode. if you run non ethanol fuel you run in non eth mode. this is just explaining you only need to run the additive IF you are running non ethanol fuel. ive never herad of them denying warranty claims for fuel. Bruce does engines every week and that has never been a question

    • @robgoffroad
      @robgoffroad 3 месяца назад +1

      @@JESSEJAMES322 I didn't say that. I know you're supposed to switch the computer mode to ethanol. The point is this whole move on their part is BS and is setting people up for warranty denials. I'm done with Polaris.

    Hey Jesse and Bruce. Good video on the 10% E issue. My current questions are; First, Being that I have stored my sled with 91 octane, (full tank), Should I put a couple ounces of the additive in the tank and run it in NON-Ethanol mode? Second, If I'm down to half a tank of 91 NON E, and have to fill up with 10% E fuel, should I put an ounce of additive in and run it in E mode? Third, IF I run my 850 in Ethanol mode all the time, whether or not I'm running 10% E or 91 NON E, what are the risks? The performance/mileage may suffer based on your video comments. Fourth, Next Spring when I go to store my sled, Should I top off the tank with 10% E, because that's what the recall says, OR should I totally drain the tank, leave the cap loose and fill it up again before starting it next Fall? (I've done this for decades with no issues.) Another factor to consider is, Ethanol fuel phase separation. In humid conditions of summer storage, the full tank could end up with a puddle of water in the bottom. No amount of additives with help blend the water back into 10% E fuel. Might as well drain the tank and use it up in my car. There are still a lot of variables to consider. Sorry for all the added confusion in the questions, but Polaris riders need to know. Keep up the good work! Thanks,

    • @JESSEJAMES322

      1. what fuel is in your sled. Fuel mode is only based off of what fuel is in the sled.
      2. half and half tank you shouldne need additive because the half tank should already have it in it but yes go to ethanol mode
      3. you can run into poor performace because the sled will be running very rich in E mode with Non eth fuel
      4. if youve been emptying them then go with that

      @@JESSEJAMES322 Thanks for not sharing that, lol! I had sold a few Polaris sleds over the past couple of years and I have the recall notices coming to my address still. If any guys need an extra sticker just let me know. I'm keeping one for my sled and will be sure to help advise anyone on the hill of the importance of "fuel static" safety!! Great job on the video guys!

    So if you use gas with ethonal in it you will get less gas mileage? Sorry if that's a dumb question. This recall stuff just sucks. And no people, I am not switching brands.

    Is Polaris just doing this to cover their ass legality wise or are we supposed to take this seriously ?
    This feels like Ashton Kutchers goofy ass is gonna pop out and tell us we’ve been punked.

    The amount of people I see on FB saying "I'll just run what I have always run and I ain't using no dam additive and aint running crap ethanol. If it burns it burns I have insurance" Is scary. People still think that ethanol will eat the fuel lines like it did with the old lines. And sorry but if the insurance finds out you didn't follow the recall they will deny your claim very quickly.
