    Thanks for video, no issues with my 21 850 vr1 yet, 3500 miles on it, never left my garage last year due to fuel pump recall, I greased the jackshaft bearing, my dealer tells me they don’t have issues with them ?? pretty sad Polaris wont cover the jackshaft unless it gets destroyed, bad engineering on there part, jackshaft should be covered in all situations

    I'm glad to hear they officially have the bearing issue resolved rather than putting a band-aid on it (i.e. greasing the bearing). I've made the switch to Polaris for '24 after being on Ski-Doo's for the last 22 years so this is great news!

      like we said in the video these would fail regardless of grease because of the design. Not lack of grease. Bot saying that lack of greased helped but wasnt the ultimate reason for the failures

    When Polaris stopped having grease zerks with greaseable bearings is when this all started. Also you must make sure the driven clutch floats on the Jack shaft and is not causing side load against the bearing. Polaris always recommended that both bearings be re greased every 500 - 1000 miles when the sleds had the greaseable bearings. I never had a problem. There is NO sealed bearing the lasts forever especially the driveshaft bearing. You must realize the Jack shaft bearing runs more RPMs so it won’t last very long if not re greased.

    • @JESSEJAMES322
      @JESSEJAMES322  Год назад +1

      grease helps but in the video we explain that even with grease it wouldnt have mattered. and yes its spinning at a high RPM and all polaris secondaries are floating from factory. this was an issue of bad design unfortunately and way more HP and torque then years past

    hello guys i have a 21 850 maytrx i ride the hill and at the beginning of the season i started to be concerned about a slight vibration. at 1800 miles i hit a deer in the woods between copanhagen about 8 miles from barnes corners. dropped off sled at my dealer whom i respect, sled was fixed 100 percent but i mentioned the slight vibration an asked them to do the bearings while at the shop knowing i had a three week turnaround if lucky. i was told we cant replace the bearing (s) as preventive maintainance but would when it has totally detonated. so i just ran it the rest of the season up to 2800 miles or so and the sleds drivetrain was dragging and my 800 switch would destroy it. i dropped off at the end of season for a recall and gues what the whole deal was tore up. yes my polaris extended covered it but now polaris probably paid 1800 instead of 400 who knows

    Is it mostly matryx? 19 and 20 would be axys too but does it seem more common on matryx? Just bought a 300 mile 21 850 Assault. I’m a believer in pulling the seals and greasing but if replacing the carrier and shaft off season is an option for piece of mind I’d rather do it now if there’s a better setup. Another sad thing from Polaris. I've always owned reliable Polaris sleds. I think this should be another warranty thing. Sad to say. Then we will have go in a big waiting list to get it fixed again. Sometimes I wonder if Polaris and other manufacturers do this so people have to bring their sleds to get serviced. And the dealerships make more money then.

Once for the gas tank explosion issue and once for the clutch impaling your body issue. I would be thrilled if those were issued from 20,30,40,50 years ago. But no. They are both from less than 5 years ago. Clearly, the evidence that Polaris is getting worse has some merit.
