Great video very well explained and short and to the point.. I feel like that was the best explanation I have seen on belt deflection thank you very much.
Dude your such a legend how you just throw sleds around in the backcountry. simply amazing. i just use mine to put around the lake when ice fishing. i’ll tip over on a snow bank 😂. one day i’d love to learn to tree ride on a new sled
I noticed before I went snd rode today mine was really loose. So I tightened it up. But it was making a whiny sound throughout the day. Did I just over tighten it? Thanks for the videos!
Ya, you’ve got it to short(tight)good rule of thumb.. Raise ass end, start it, you want the track to spin in air, but does not creep forward or squeal when tracks on ground.
time for polaris sleds to come with auto deflection adjustment similar to the cats. just saying thats the one thing i like more about my cat then my polaris!
@@daltonfleck My '19 alpha one (mountain sled) has auto belt deflection adjustment. It keeps the belt at perfect deflection all the time, in turn you get peak performance and longer belt life. My cat can get double the life of a belt compared to my 2020 Khaos which I seem to only be getting around 800 kms before it starts spitting cords or chunking. Not saying having to adjust my belt deflection every 4-5 rides is the end of the world but it sure is nice on the cat to never have to even look at it. What do you have for a sled and why are you against auto adjusting deflection? lol
Finally not some bullshit video, straight to the point and useful.
Thank you very much for the video!! I’m newer into sleds and changed to a new belt and was able to adjust it perfectly! Love the content!

Appreciate that in depth look. Ive made the switch from Ski Doo to a new Khaos & was wondering if it was any different. Thank You
Thank you Chris I know absolutely nothing about clutching right now but learning slowly will be a check I look into
Excellent, easy to understand belt tension adjustment!
Wow. Great video. Excellent for beginners.
Great video. I just got an old 05 rmk 900 today and yeah the secondary isn't right. This video will help get it right.
Excellent explanation! Makes a huge difference!
Thank you for the easy tip.
Love the in depth look, i had the general idea, have adjusted mine a couple times, but this confirms my thoughts on it. Thanks for the advice!

@@chadthiem8371 appreciate it thank you!
Clear instructions!👍
So backing the screw out -tightens the secondary and pushing the screw loosens the secondary? Appreciate the vid
Great video
Will check my belt deflection before the next time I ride.✌
dude, that's money! thanks.
Thank you!
How do you break the Allen screw loose mine is stuck. I broke the nut free but can't get the Allen to budge...thanks
I have an M8000 with a BMP secondary and I can’t get the belt to deflect ? Any ideas?
Loose belt makes more heat from slipping. Increasing the chance of blowing the belt.

@@Slednex700 sweet!! Appreciate the help
Did they get rid of the auto adjusters?
Thank you did not know
What belts do you recommend? I ride a 16 Axys with BD sidekick turbo.
OEM 👍
How to do this on my sportsman 500 2012?
So after adjustment I don't have to spread secondary?
Rotate the belt or track to allow the belt to slide in or out of the secondary depending on which way you adjusted./
Hey how's agoin people
I have a 12 rush stock what can is the best?
Chris there's a supplement called biosil for bones and tissue for healing your hand works mint very advanced

Polaris is built for performance and light weight durability in the backcountry, not trail junkie sled Accommodations

@@JasonMcMurray Dealing with deflection is a small pain for how much better the Polaris clutches are over Cat's.
@@newpylong so now the Polaris comes with auto adjusting deflection this conversation seems irrelevant lol
Getting famous off of comments day 254, so I can live the dream, live every day like it’s your last🤙🤙
Why is everything on the sled metric then the most used are SAE
NO SENSE
aftermarket fab guys just go with METRIC!! One tool set
Give away a sleddddd
Go to workkkk
jesus, that's demanding...
