That makes no sense.. every single silencer adds a ton of annoying noise… the only difference is when idling or part throttle. You are always 3/4-wide open in the mountains and even the quietest cans are crazy loud when your wide open… this dude is ridiculous with his “get these $10000 worth of mods” ya of if we all had sponsors like he does we would do that also lol.,. Bud Andy was way better when he was doing slednecks and was buying his own shit. He is too big now and his videos suck
I finally picked up my new (to me) Axys Pro RMK. First thing I did was get all of the mentioned, plus bumpers and tether. Now I get to put it all on tomorrow and see how much different she feels than my 14 Pro that was basically stock! Thanks for all the great tips!
New ski rubbers and break lever on the list. For the people on a small budget don’t do what I did and spend half on a wrap. The 5hp per sticker is a myth.
i just got durapros for my 2018 axys and they just dont seem right.. when you lift the sled the skis drop a bit and seem to have more play then the stock..
I love the walker Evan's clickers. I'm a 80/20 rider 80% trail and 20% off. Must stud the track. Upgrade the clutch with heavier weights and spring. Bam that's it for me lolol
Dang never knew a heated brake lever existed! I've been complaining about my frozen pointer finger all season! Also is that slp can trail legal? Great content as always!
First 2 things i say to do if you are on a budget...aftermarket can for weigjt and gearing. I geared my 15 prox switchback 800 down 19:43 gearing...its help stretch those arms 😜
Got a 2016 Polaris Rmk assault axys, it’s my second snowmobile , started on a 2006 ski doo mxz 600, I’m really exited to pick it up on Wednesday and honestly I’m wondering on the speed distance
would be good to get a rundown on shock PSI calibration? for example what tuning on the float 3 for different types of terrain? and when to use the 1-2-3 clicker?
Chris, on the gear down kit, can we get a rundown of why you prefer Kurt's to a TKI? Also is either worth the cost if you have a chaincase (3" track) and can just change out a sprocket?
Have to say I thought the tunnel bag was going to be great, but not a fan Chris. The problem is that it sits flat on your tunnel and helps retain heat more than anything. I had to sell mine and buy a BCA tunnel bag which sits off the tunnel. Please re-design yours
just decided to replace my worn out cracked stock ski rubbers with durapro's. is the ski tip supposed to sag more with the durapro's than worn out cracked ski rubbers? it doesn't hold the ski level, more like tips down.
Fun fact... I personally think the absolute first mod to the sled should be a fucking tether... I can't stop complaining about this... 17000 dollar sled and no tether from the factory is a joke!
I very dislike the reliability of the polaris sleds i had a 14 indy 800 sp put wiseco forged in at 3000+ miles they only went over 500+ miles then blew what happened to the reliability polaris
I'm going to buy my first cross over 800 next year. I'm mainly a trail rider but want way more off trail. How much more would a 2" paddle effect trail riding then a 1.6" paddle and over all performance on trail? Any help!
@@robertmurray8355 If you ride any lug height higher than 1.25 down hard pack trail for any extended time you will start to wear lugs off 1.6 or 2 inch, just a reality.
@@lewisbrazil5485 I drive a F7 now with 1.25 and its shit in compassion to my freinds with bigger paddles...looks like I will think about it over the summer! Thanks for the input.
My assault with 1.3 cobra does extremely well on hard and loose trail and the extra length gives good flotation off trail. If you experience very deep fluffy snow you'll want the 1.6 but the bigger lug the more top end you'll scrub.
The freedom haters will chip away at your rights no matter what you do to try to appease them. No point using quiet exhausts, better off with a loud one to drive them nuts while they try and legislate away our fun.
This should be titled “how to mod your sled if you’re a millionaire” ridiculous!!!!!! How about some mods for us working smuchs that can barely afford a new sled.
So glad you mention the loud cans!!! Biggest reasons we are losing areas to ride are loud exhausts and riding on private property.

lol The ski rubbers and brake are legit!
you need to try powermodz stickers
lol I've never rode a sled with a working brake 😅
i just got durapros for my 2018 axys and they just dont seem right.. when you lift the sled the skis drop a bit and seem to have more play then the stock..
Can we get a rundown on the shock settings? Stiffer? More rebound? Stiffer front than rear in the skid? Etc? Great content! 👌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
we have our settings when guys buy the signature shocks that make them dialed, but there isnt much adjustability to be had on the stock suspension
@@Rossxr Does the Pro with Fox shocks ride / initiate edge more like a Khaos?

cant wait to get into this sport here around mountains of whistler ,bc! great videos !!
Your opinion regarding quiet cans are worth repeating over, and over again !!
Durapro ski rubbers, top of the list
certainly a good one!

Chris, you should add a wrist brace to the list.
Awesome informative video as always Chris, thank you for everything you do for the sport
Thanks for the comment on behalf of Bba and Burandt! stoked you enjoy the video!
Ross Robinson Yes, and I know you do a lot of the video editing and stuff and great job by you
Thanks for the vid big help. And congrats on 20k
thanks Jaxen!
Great to denounce the loud cans. Good job :)
IMHO, ski rubbers are prolly the most commonly over looked item on a sled
Camera guy needs to put the camera on the product you’re talking about, brutal

the brake lever is amazing! worth every penny! not sure on the legality on the slip can.
@@Rossxr literally my biggest / only complaint with my Assault. Sure wish I had terrain like you guys do though grip it and rip it bud!
Silencer legality is dependant on local provincial or state laws. Check locally before plunking down your cash.

possible making future turob install video or tips for turbo sled?
probably won't do an entire turbo install video just because of the length and time it takes

I'll buy extra used sleds before I spend 4k on shocks. There's ABSOLUTELY NO way those shocks make a sled 4k better!
Chris, on the gear down kit, can we get a rundown of why you prefer Kurt's to a TKI? Also is either worth the cost if you have a chaincase (3" track) and can just change out a sprocket?
For your chain case it's already geared down versus the belt drive. You're good to go!

What is on the cross bar of your handlebars? I looks like a custom right side throttle.

You should try the Pro Armor tether by OFT racing.
the best tether on the market is the new Arctic Cat magnetic model
I love my Pro Armor Tether on my 800 Axys!
Boyd Pendleton same here buddy :-))
What would you rekomend for my polaris khaos 850 2020?

yes it is! its in his helium hood

Do I need to do Kurt’s clutch kit when installing the gear down kit or can I do it without?
Without the clutching the teardown itself isn't as effective.
@@Stryderman199 What if you have a stage two polaris full pipe, can, and clutch kit.... replace SLP clutch kit with Kurts if you do the gear down?

link to the cooker can you mentioned? heard of em but cant find them
