The big will be the exhaust valve cable. Bend bracket so the cable stays in centre as you move the actuator through full stroke. The bog is from cable sticking not closing valves after being full open

You nailed it. It definitely takes time to get used to the alpha rail. I haven't rode a catalyst yet but the ascender in the alpha it took a lot of time to get comfortable and used to how it works and handles. Lots of trying different feet placements on the boards for different situations. Once i got it, i got it and loved it. I now have a 24 poo boost, yes id agree itd be way easier for someone to hop on it and ride, it its more predictable with lack of experience or time on a alpha. With that said i highly miss the alpha it is easier to get on edge, i loved not having the skid full of snow. At times i was less tired riding it. Hope things get sorted out with the cat as in the future id love to be back on one for out west.

Good video. How does it sidehill and how well does it hold its edge?

I like the mix of shop and riding. Very informative.

are those the photochromatic lenses in your 509 goggles? The lenses that goes from clear to dark based on the sun? If so have you had issues with them if it's really cold to where is just goes dark and not clear even if there is no sun?

lets go, the cat looks technical as hell, starting everywhere no prob, should hold to it on the wall, would be a sick re-entry. cat is a little late for the turbo model but need it at this altitude

    Another great video guys.
Nice to see the new flash has helped with the bog issue. I know if you stop in the deep snow and the exhaust is plugged off it can create a problem with bogging off the start. Not sure if the plugged exhaust outlet creates additional back pressure and it loads up with fuel on start up. I have witnessed this on other manufacturers sleds. It seemed to run clean again after he got moving again.

Thoughts on the updated ECU? It's like 2.5 hour drive each way for me to get to the dealer, wondering if it's worth it.

They can reflash it when you take it there with a bitched engine. Until then ride it!

It took me 2 years to fully understand how to ride the mono raile I ride polaris and skidoo but the mono rail after learning how to ride it I'll take it over twin rail any day of the week

I have a Polaris but I found the cat to be a lot more work to ride but in the end once I learned the positioning and were to put my weight I actually found it more playful and fun

I think the Cat can lift the front end a lot easier, might have an edge in technical riding up and over small trees or step ups, playin around. I think it just needs a bit of clutch/gear work to smooth out the power delivery in the super deep stuff. Bugs should be worked out in a year or 2.

That wash out was you not having your weight in the correct spot and throttle control once you learn how to use it for your advantage it will work

Ill wait about 3 years till they get bugs out of it usualky takes that long with any new motor or chasis

Unfortunately Cat is in financial trouble, they have laid off a bunch of people and stopped alot of production. KTM is also in the same boat. So I don't think you will be able to wait 3 years unfortunately to get bugs out. Polaris and Skidoo sales are down also, so I don't think one of them will buy Cat from Textronics. Sad story, This may be the last Kitty for awhile.

Who the F would want a beer branded wrap, I doubt he is getting any amount of money from them yet he turns his sled into a billboard for them!
Now cue all the drinkers and on hill boozers telling me off.

Boy you must be fun at parties. Everybody does it. It is all part of the comradery bro. There is nothing wrong with some parking lot beers after a ride!
You should see some of the things that has been said to me for calling out another RUclipsr!

It's just a fun theme to play off of that has nothing to do with drinking on the mountain. His previous coors light shredder ammassed millions of views on multiple social platforms and was an excellent source of advertising for his own business.

Don't get so far back and the alpha won't wash or be as flighty has been a 3 year learning curve for me after 30+ on a twin rail😎😎😎
