- It is the end of the road for the R35 GT-R and Nissan is celebrating. The Skyline Edition comes in iconic Bayside Blue with a Sora Blue interior. The T-Spec Takumi Edition is featured in Midnight Purple with a Mori Green interior. Just 200 examples will be produced. Is the 2024 Nissan GT-R Skyline Edition the BEST new AWD performance car to BUY?

I was just on their website and I built the red NISMO $221,000! If I ever won the lottery this will be in my garage for sure! I would buy all kinds of new cars. I’m not really that fond of classic cars. I like the newest latest and greatest.😂🚗

Midnight purple is the one! But, I will take any new GTR!!! If you consider the care, R&D, evolution of the engine and legendary AWD, the consistent improvements, whether small or large that has been put into this car, you will realize that it is a solid choice! What dreams are truly made of! And it still is a looker and very special! Hopefully Nissan doesn't do anything radical in the future, to pander to those complaining about the refresh. The balance is there now.
I had a 2017 gtr. It needs better performance, it no longer keeps up with modern supercars. I hope it doesn't go electric it's already super heavy. But I'd buy one if the r36 stays ice. Cheers.

I guess I'm going to be the jerk with complaints so here goes... I've been a fan since the late '80s when I saw a 1972 in a parking lot and had to know what it was. All these years later I still love every iteration (I think the R33 is seriously underappreciated) but I've grown a bit frustrated with Nissan. First, since the R35 was released over a decade and a half ago there have been several small changes but they've all been pretty minor. That's a long time but the R35 has managed not to look "old" for a car designed so long ago. My issue is that it has become more and more bland with each cosmetic change. The 2014 looked far better than the 2024. Those early versions looked more aggressive. Their lines were better. Of course looks are subjective and that's only my opinion but that leads me to the other issue I'm having with Nissan. The MSRP on the R35 currently ranges from $125K up to $235K (not counting dealer markups). That is a preposterous price for this car. They can make whatever claims they want but I believe 100% that the prices are why most of us rarely see an R35 on the road. If Nissan dropped the MSRP to the $80K-$135K range they wouldn't be able to build them fast enough. With almost every automaker putting out fresh, exciting versions of their sports and super cars I can't see spending a few hundred grand for a "new" car originally designed more than 20 years ago. Of course no one cares about my opinion but there it is.

I have a 2024 T-spec in Jade Green.
I was on the fence between a C8 Z06
And the GTR. 140k later no regret love the GTR. So much aftermarket support tried and true engine setups.

These are beautiful ❤I'll more than likely never be able to afford one of these, or even get my hands on one of these if I am ever able to afford one since they'll be out of production by then, but GTRs are always nice to look at whenever I see one in person.

Nissan has to have been underrating these things since the beginning. The numbers have never added up to the acceleration figures.

I own an R35. I love the R35 and the R33 so ive been in the GT-R family for many years but calling two colors a limited/special edition is awful. Colors dont make it special or limited

Crazy to think the C6 corvette did battle with this car and now the c8 is doing battle with the same car. Hell the Camaro came back out and got a new body style and got killed off while the same gtr was in production.

Gtr was only worth buying in the first few years that it came out. Nissan hasnt done shit with this car the same way audi hasnt done shit with the r8 except keep raising the prices. Nissan doesnt deserve our money. They couldnt even update the interior ffs.

I know these cars are about the performance but 150,000 is a lot of money and you are not getting something extra to justify the price. The Z06 I ordered was almost in the same range.
What you get extra is a legendary platform that is good for 850whp with full bolt-ons and runs in the 9's depending on tire set-up etc. Also, it's iconic and timeless, can be used as a daily driver.

@@omarcortes5754 To each his own .. my car 2015 was built over time with repairs as needed .. I now have a car with 70k+ miles no issues .. iconic .. and runs with 1000hp Ferrari's .. and can still be relevant in another 10+ years .. like the R34 etc

@@frankfirewood5384 well this post was about you never heard of any manufacturer selling a car for so long. Now you’ve changed it that well the G-Wagon “updated” it for 2019 and also 2023. Well it still looks the same that it did in 1979 when it first came out. Even the GTR did some changes in 2017 and since then changed the suspension in around 2020. And changed its front end for the 2024 model year. Since you want to argue little changes along the way.

@@RaitisRides after a few editions and little facelifts later, it´s at the end the same old GTR from 2007 but with a lot higher price, and the new and modern rivals of this Car outperform the GTR with better performance and refindnesses.
