I worked in a premiere hospital where top celebrities go. Not all celebrities have enough humility and courage to do this. Sharing this side of her is one brave decision, as it brings awareness to the condition. It also allows people to realize that they are also human beings. I wish all the best to Celine Dion.

Believe it or not, I've met patients, nomatter who they were, who still held on to their pride until the end, like nothing's wrong with them. A lot of these patients could've helped others in the same situation but didn't.
This poor woman needs deliverance. I by no means say this in a harsh way.. I pray someone will come into her life and offer real truth. She’s made a clothing line for children that doesn’t sit well with many people right before this condition overtook her.

One minute you're perfectly fine, the next your body is so stiff its immobile. Then your body relaxes again with the help of medicine. Some seizures last longer. But yes, she can come out of the seizure and SEEM perfectly fine. That's because the body has relaxed. Not saying it won't ever happen again, it inevitably will.

I have to wonder if a few years ago when she lost all that weight, if that did not trigger something in her immune system? She lost so much weight that she was skeletal.

I do not know. Calling “Boss” is very common in some places. You can call someone boss to show respect, to let them know you respect them regardless on how they feel and situation, to make them feel empower and strong when they feel weak the most, also to joke around. I actually hear someone calling the other “Boss” in nice situations.
There is little else worse than losing what you had, especially something you passionately loved. I don't have her same issues, but have lost much that I loved!

Celine- My wife of 42 yrs recently passed after suffering from Stiff Persons Syndrome for 30 years. I was her caretaker and lifeline. I know every detail of how you suffer and hold onto every day as your hope carries you into the next. Never lose that woman inside that carried you all these years. I have chronic migraines and something tells me my chronic migraines are nothing compared to what this woman's going through. Well , fibromyalgia has similar flares , that lasts for days . It’s acute spasm , but it’s unbearable pain that lasts for days and painkillers don’t work .

I watched and I cried. I used to think when I was younger how great it must be to be famous and rich but as I watched this documentary I realised that no matter who you are, rich or poor, young or old we are all just human and vulnerable and we all just and go through our own tragedies in life. I was very sad to see Celine suffer like she did and I wish her a speedy recovery. She is a strong determined lady and I hope she comes back fighting and gets to sing again for the people, the fans but mostly for herself. Stay strong Celine ❤
Unfortunately with this disease tho you don’t recover; it gets progressively worse. You can try to manage the symptoms but the spasms worsen over time and can shorten your life. She is a fabulous and strong-willed woman fighting to get her life back and I’m sure she’ll tame this disease as much as she can.
I watched her documentary last Friday in the movies. I cried a lot. I had the privilege to see her twice, once in Vegas (2011) and a second time in Miami ( January 2020).For me she is the best voice.Her courage is amazing. She is fighting so hard. Keep fighting Celine. We are here praying for you

I'm not a Celine fan (more into rock music) but this documentary is also about disability and illness. That's why I watched it. I admit I cried a few times especially during her crisis. I've seen people dismiss this doc as some 'ego diva' move. But if a documentary like this existed before, then Celine wouldn't not have gone 17 years without a diagnosis. It's as much about raising awareness. She should be commended.

That's exactly what I said. She gave her best years to the fans. She's good. She needs to retire and spend the rest of the time she's got left on this earth with her family. She doesn't need to go back to that stage. She doesn't owe anybody anything. Now she can refocus and have other interests. Pick up some hobbies or work on things she didn't get to experience or do while she was away performing for the public. She can do all of this with her family at her side. That's all that matters at the end of the day. Family. She can use that courageous spirit and focus it on moving that body as much as she can with the doctor's guidance and use it to be with family and friends.

I don't think I can handle my heart when I see her like this. She's more than an idol to me. I like her too much since I was in middle school. Every time I sing, I think of her as my spirit and my joy. The first time I heard her voice, it was like heaven came to me and gave me a new outlook on life that I thought I couldn't achieve. I had a spasm once when I had an infection while pregnant in labor and delivery. The infection was so bad my body went into full body spasms and it was the most terrifying experience of my life. Its horrible what she is going through and I only wish her well. Anyone reading this that is going through it medically, sending you love and light.

I recently saw a neurology team who thought I was dealing with the early stages of this same illness. My life over the last 4-5 years has been plagued by terrifying neurological symptoms. Painful body spasms, throat muscle spasms causing it to close and deplete my oxygen to dangerous levels in my sleep,m, muscle jerking, tetany. All to a much milder degree than Mrs.Dion but still so terrifying! She is so strong for continuing to work despite her condition! Luckily out I had parathyroidism causing severe mineral deficiencies that caused me these issues. I’m on the road to recovery and it breaks my heart that she is still suffering with such a painful and terrifying illness. I truly hope that this large scale exposure of SPS allows for a cure or better symptom management to be developed in the near future❤️ She is a an absolute fighter 💪🏻

I worked in a premiere hospital where top celebrities go. Not all celebrities have enough humility and courage to do this. Believe it or not, I've met patients, nomatter who they were, who still held on to their pride until the end, like nothing's wrong with them. A lot of these patients could've helped others in the same situation but didn't.
This poor woman needs deliverance. I by no means say this in a harsh way.. I pray someone will come into her life and offer real truth. She’s made a clothing line for children that doesn’t sit well with many people right before this condition overtook her.

One minute you're perfectly fine, the next your body is so stiff its immobile. Then your body relaxes again with the help of medicine. Some seizures last longer. But yes, she can come out of the seizure and SEEM perfectly fine. That's because the body has relaxed. Not saying it won't ever happen again, it inevitably will.

I have to wonder if a few years ago when she lost all that weight, if that did not trigger something in her immune system? She lost so much weight that she was skeletal.

I do not know. Calling “Boss” is very common in some places. You can call someone boss to show respect, to let them know you respect them regardless on how they feel and situation, to make them feel empower and strong when they feel weak the most, also to joke around. I actually hear someone calling the other “Boss” in nice situations.
There is little else worse than losing what you had, especially something you passionately loved. I don't have her same issues, but have lost much that I loved!

I know every detail of how you suffer and hold onto every day as your hope carries you into the next. Never lose that woman inside that carried you all these years. They could have been married at any age of their adult years, and not at 12 yrs old.
My wife is six years into Stiff Person Syndrome, so I know about it first hand. My wife hasn't been able to walk without a rolllator in years.

Unfortunately with this disease tho you don’t recover; it gets progressively worse. You can try to manage the symptoms but the spasms worsen over time and can shorten your life. She is a fabulous and strong-willed woman fighting to get her life back and I’m sure she’ll tame this disease as much as she can.

I'm not a Celine fan (more into rock music) but this documentary is also about disability and illness. That's why I watched it. I admit I cried a few times especially during her crisis.
I've seen people dismiss this doc as some 'ego diva' move. But if a documentary like this existed before, then Celine wouldn't not have gone 17 years without a diagnosis. It's as much about raising awareness. She should be commended.

That's exactly what I said. She gave her best years to the fans. She's good. She needs to retire and spend the rest of the time she's got left on this earth with her family. She doesn't need to go back to that stage. She doesn't owe anybody anything.
Now she can refocus and have other interests. Pick up some hobbies or work on things she didn't get to experience or do while she was away performing for the public. She can do all of this with her family at her side.
That's all that matters at the end of the day. Family. She can use that courageous spirit and focus it on moving that body as much as she can with the doctor's guidance and use it to be with family and friends.

I don't think I can handle my heart when I see her like this. She's more than an idol to me. I like her too much since I was in middle school. Every time I sing, I think of her as my spirit and my joy. The first time I heard her voice, it was like heaven came to me and gave me a new outlook on life that I thought I couldn't achieve. Now, i cry every time I see videos of her or hear her stories on every interviews. I truly pray for your recovery Celine, I look forward to hearing you laugh again. ❤

I had a spasm once when I had an infection while pregnant in labor and delivery. The infection was so bad my body went into full body spasms and it was the most terrifying experience of my life. Its horrible what she is going through and I only wish her well. Anyone reading this that is going through it medically, sending you love and light.

I recently saw a neurology team who thought I was dealing with the early stages of this same illness. My life over the last 4-5 years has been plagued by terrifying neurological symptoms. Painful body spasms, throat muscle spasms causing it to close and deplete my oxygen to dangerous levels in my sleep,m, muscle jerking, tetany. All to a much milder degree than Mrs.Dion but still so terrifying! She is so strong for continuing to work despite her condition!
Luckily out I had parathyroidism causing severe mineral deficiencies that caused me these issues. I’m on the road to recovery and it breaks my heart that she is still suffering with such a painful and terrifying illness. I truly hope that this large scale exposure of SPS allows for a cure or better symptom management to be developed in the near future❤️
