      I went through a bottle over 3 months. Saw no improvement (along with many other supplements) But...
      I'm now one week post 27g core vitrectomy that achieved perfect results (0 floaters now) with clear vision returning in 4 days and pain-free recovery. I would recommend this procedure for floaters that significantly reduce QOL. Helps having an open minded and confident surgeon!

      @@KCEXE Hey! Early 30s. Had bothersome floaters since around 25 (tolerable with sunglasses outside and dark mode on screens). About 2 years ago they became debilitating--driving or even just walking outside became nerve-wracking. Could not work on PC without atropine. In hindsight, I would have benefited from the vitrectomy sooner. I spent a ton of money, time, stress (and agony, frankly) trying everything but vitrectomy--laser vitreolysis, MSM drops, enzymes, etc. Vitrectomy gave me my life back and I can't wait to get the other eye done later this year. I wish you the best with your decision and finding the right surgeon!

      I have been using castor oil (pharmaceutical grade) for a couple of months. Started with a drop in each eye and then increased to two or even three if my eyes feel very dry or irritated. It definitely soothes my conjunctiva, which feels less raw in the morning and my eyes are less dry during the day. There is no effect on the floaters yet, but it's still early days. How long it took for your floaters to get resolved? I have two kinds: the grayish dots and 'wires' and also the bigger, round, opaque ones which are more disturbing. What kind of floaters did you have? Thanks for sharing. 🙌

    I've been using the blue bottle, liquid form of MSM using 2-3 drops, once in the morning and once at night, for the last 3 weeks so far and can honestly say that it has improved my eyesight and that MSM has gotten rid of 80%+ of my eye floaters as well. I use the excess of MSM that comes out of my eyes by spreading it on my eye lids and wrinkles around my eyes and have noticed that my eye lashes have grown some and wrinkles diminished as well.

    I'm 65 yrs and have floaters since age 20 yrs. I did start MSM drops March 2021 in hopes of reversing cataracts. Didn't help with them at all. The cataracts worsened quickly and I had my first surgery done this past Thursday and second eye coming up this Wednesday. I had become legally blind....horrible. I am in AWE of my new vision. Colors are vibrant and double vision gone. Having a starburst effect, which I pray subsides with the healing. I had the laser for astigmatism and monofocal lens placed. I'm excited for the next eye.
    The MSM never effected the floaters, but after complete healing of cataract surgery, I'm going to resume the drops. Seems like the color of the floaters were lightening in shade, but was that possibly because of the cataract. Two days after the procedure, the floaters were once again noticed and darker. I'll update after the second eye.
    In addition to MSM, I straightened up my diet and stopped sugar, starches, and just went low carb/keto with fasting. Obviously, made no difference. Incidentally, I have no health issues. I'm on no meds for blood pressure, etc.

I wouldn't describe them as 'floaters' it's more like a single dirty plastic bag floating in water with dark smudges of black/brown smoke stains on different areas of the bag, the smudges change shape, sometimes overnight but they always float as 'one' complete object. My ophthalmologist says that it is on the large size and that it interferes with the point of focus of the eye. When I'm typing it is similar to looking through a dirty window or windscreen. The only time it isn't an annoyance is when I'm driving because my point of focus is in the far distance. I also find that my sunglasses give some relief.

    • @DDumbrille
      @DDumbrille 2 года назад +5

      @@DeeCee1150 If your floaters seemed like they're black, then that's a vitreous hemorrhage -- a bleed -- in the eye. Also your comment that they came on suddenly confirms that. I've had that happen three times in the last 3 years. The first two times they cleared in 2 weeks, but this last time -- although it's only about 10% of the amount compared to the first 2 'bleeds', it hasn't gone away. Like your doctor said, it can take 2-3 months to go away. The only thing I was doing differently this last time, was I was taking zinc. And some say that zinc inhibits copper, and that copper helps with things like spider veins and wound healing -- so I'm going to try eating some high copper foods a few times a week and see if the floaters resolve. Good luck.

    Im 72 yrs, and take a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement which also has MSM in it. I used to notice floaters quite often. I once accidentally bought the same brand of this G/C, but without the MSM and started noticing more floaters it seemed. I switched back to the original with the MSM and rarely see floaters these days even in bright sun. My knees are happy too.

    I was severely damaged from the vaccine. My vision went from perfect to almost blind overnight. I was in a sheer panic, because my eyeballs were so sensitive. It felt like razors were slicing them at all times. I had to walk around with one eye, closed all the time to give one eye a rest. No doctor was able to help me. I learned about MSM and DMSO on my own and started putting it in my eyes, with a 40% solution to distilled water DMSO. Oh, I bought liquid MSM from happy body so I used them together. It took a few months but my eyes started to come back. I did this three times a day. A year later my eyes were healed. This stuff is a miracle! I’ve heard of people eradicating their cataracts, and, other eye issues with this combination. I’m just so grateful I learned about it otherwise I would be completely disabled.🙏🏼

    I don't typically comment, but I'm going to now. I bought MSM drops after watching some videos about floaters, which I have. I don't like to admit that any influencer may have convinced me to buy it, but I did. Did it help my floaters? No. What did it do? My eyelashes are longer than they have ever been in my life and I'm 65. I'm not joking. My husband asked me if I wore false eyelashes to work. I don't care about long lashes. I care about the health of my eyes. Just thought I'd pass this on in case anyone is interested.

      Thank you. Vicky. I'm cursed with very short, very straight/stubby, and very lightly pigmented eyelashes, and sensitive eyes so cannot wear mascara. Tried all kinds of "serums" and none worked. I've also tried the "magnetic" liner+lashes, only to wake up with horrific reaction. If your MSM tip works, it's definitely going to be a much safer and much cheaper solution that many women will want to try.

    Hi Martin, my big question regarding cataracts is does the eye lens cells turn over (meaning over time are new clear cells produced, and old cloudy damaged cells shed off and go away)..?
    If no, then lens replacement seems to be maybe be only way to go to resolve cataracts.
    If yes, then would improved diet, eye supplements, eye drops, lifestyle (sunglasses shielding UV radiation, exercise, low sugar diet, etc.) help to produce new clear lens cells to replace old cloudy damaged cells.
    If yes, let me know of any studies, education resources, or your opinion of what factors (diet, supplements, lifestyle, etc.), do you believe will help clear your eye lens..? Of course all disclaimers accepted.
    FYI, I'm male, 65, excellent health, no meds, no conditions, blonde hair, blue eyes, on 6/15/22 had PVD left eye, flashes left peripheral area, increased floaters, two visits to retinal specialist, no tear or detachment, so far so good.
    More FYI, I eat greens big time, carotenoids, eat rainbow, antioxidants, starting lutein and zeaxanthin, etc., eye supplements, taking 2,000 mg EPA/DHA fish oil supplements daily past 10 years...
    Thank you..! 👀💞

    I didn’t notice a difference with the Dexterity Liquid MSM regarding my floaters. But it was soothing to my dry eyes. I asked my ophthalmologist about it because I have eye disease, and he looked it up on the spot and said there was nothing in that brand that would harm my eye. I purchased both the glass blue bottle and the typical plastic dropper type bottle. I found the blue glass bottle contents bottle less irritating going in, no sting, but because I’m farsighted found the long dropper a bit unwieldy. The classic dropper style was easier to get in the eye for me, but stung going in. Ask you doctor about it.

      If you have the option ALWAYS buy glass bottles for your eyes.
      Castor oil can dissolve cataracts and help with eye health all the way around. Including glaucoma. Always buy first cold pressed, stored in a dark glass bottle, and it must be Hexane free. The eye dropper should be glass too. I read 30 days on and 30 off. You’re supposed to put one drop in inner eye and one on outer corner of eyes, making sure to stay away from retina (colored part). So far excellent results. Good luck to you! 🙏🏼♥️🕊

    I have used MSM drops and stopped once the floaters subsided. I would never take the capsule form since MSM breaks up collagen and that would be detrimental to my skin. I don't need my face falling or forming jowls any faster. I sure wouldn't rub the excess on my eyelids or around my eyes. I use castor oil on my lashes and that really improved their length and thickness quickly. Don't use MSM for that. Short term might work, but long term would be devastating.

      I also use castor oil drops and they are very helpful with dry eyes. But I wonder about your thoughts on MSM, which is a building block of collagen. Since vitreous gel is made of collagen, which is also essential for the youthful skin, I don't understand why you think it's detrimental for both - the skin and the floaters?

      Depending on percentage of MSM, it can sting. I was using the ones in the blue bottle and they didn't sting at all and then I switched over and started using the 15% and that really stings, but It's worth it to have higher percentage I think

      Just add MSM powder to your water. This way it gets EVERYWHERE in your body, not just the eyes. It took 2 tablespoons of MSM per day, and 6 months of use, to see a difference in rheumatoid arthritis, but once it turned the corner, all pain fell away and never came back, and tests all showed NO MORE rheumatoid arthritis (and this was 25 years ago.) I will never be without MSM.

      Its when your eyes are bit loose in your head so you turn your head and eyes float all over for 30 seconds until they back looking in same direction as head. Terrible condition. Really hard to watch tennis. 😮

    For eye floaters, I also boiled one portion of eyebright, 1/2 portion rue and 1/2 portion of vervains herbs with distilled water. Simmer for a few minutes and let it cool down. Put the extract into a sterile eye drop bottle. I used it as an eye wash or eye drops. Twice a day - morning when I wake up and before sleep. It helps me with the floater problem. I have been using this extract and occasional organic castor oil as an eye drops as well (for dry eyes). I also Take potassium, MSM, boron, calcium and vitamin B complex, plus walking for an hour daily (when I can) - these are all really good for one’s health. No pains, no doctors, and no big Phamas’ drugs. Just be careful with what you eat and drink. No junk food, just fresh veggies/fruits, organic products if possible. Simple - Let food be thy medicine. This is the most straightforward way of a healthy life. ❤🙏

    How can you tell if it's more serious, like a detached retina? Do eye floaters ever escalate into this?

      Oh you will know. You will see black ink rundown through your eye, if it’s a detached retina.

      I have whats known as a macula pucker. the floaters group together and form a sheath, epiretinal membrane, over the retina and it pulls on the retina causing wavy distortion and blurry vision. I had cataract surgery first and soon will have surgery for it. I was told 2 years ago not to worry about floaters every one gets them. Now here I am. I started MSM liquid drops but after reading this I will quit. my eye isn't healed from cataract surgery.

      Flashes are a symptom of tears. Not floaters

    • @Joe_I_Hadley
      @Joe_I_Hadley 2 года назад

      @@spookshow6999 I had hotshot tears and they were not detected until surgery. You need a scan of the retina from a retina specialist to detect tears and detachments
