      Thankyou for this video I'm gonna check out the ingredient one next. My eyes get strained when I work on computers or watch videos. Its almost like I stop blinking during these activities. The dry red eye syndrome can last into the next day sometimes. I like Rohto they have some kind of menthol that really give a rejuvenating feel.

    I am 75 years old and I have suffered from acute dry eyes (at night) from the time I was around 30. I have tried many brands of drops with very limited different results between them. Being affected with irritable bowel syndrome, I have gradually removed many foods from my diet. It is when I stopped consuming milk products that my eyes suddenly stopped being dry to my amazement. Since then, I have been able to link the condition to various foods which I avoid. Nowadays, I seldom use my bottle of drops.

      I have dry eyes at night due to year round allergies. I am allergic to dust. I have found cold compresses and drinking lots of water helps. I think the eyes swell at night. My post nasal drip gets worse at night. I have tried all conventional allergy treatments with very minimal help. The drugs make the eyes drier.

    Its amazing.. i am over 50, am far-sighted and have an astigmatism.. i noticed for long time i had blurry and hazy vision.. i could not look at a computer screen, my phone or even a restaurant menu without squinting. i was frustrated thinking that it was just a limitation of my eye issues.. so, i would wear my prescription glasses all the time to compensate , and i hated it!
    i then tried the refresh and systane eye drops for a week or so, and i could not believe the improvement! it was night and day.. i now hardly ever wear my prescription glasses or squint. it has made all the difference in my vision..

    What is the difference between Refresh Digital Preservative Free and Refresh Optive Advanced Preservative Free? The labels indicate they have identical active ingredients and the inactive ingredient list is the same as well.

    • @eyechannelbyeyesurgeon
      @eyechannelbyeyesurgeon  Год назад

      That’s a really good observation. Based on the ingredient lists, the two are identical. According to the Allergan official website, Refresh Digital is “formulated with HydroCell-our proprietary NaCl-free, glycerin-based technology. It delivers soothing hydration by supporting all three tear film layers, and helps prevent natural tears from evaporating due to lipid layer deficiencies”. I have had severe dry eyes for the majority of my adult life. I have personally tested at least 30 of the top brands of eye drops from both the USA, Europe, and Japan, and there is only ONE brand that I believe is "the best," which is *Systane Ultra.* After using every kind available, I have found that only the non-preserved ones are good for long-term use, and all of the "secret ingredient" varieties are nothing more than regular drops with additional chemicals, or simply adding greasy substances like mineral oil. I have also tried every steroid, antibiotic, drug, and "cure" for dry eyes on earth, including using my own blood plasma, but nothing works better than Sustane Ultra. Take it from someone who uses them every 10-minutes, 24/7, for the past 20-years.

    I had the laser surgery to my drainage ducts on either side of my eyes. I was under the assumption that this would allow me to discontinue the use of the nightly Bimatoprost. But no! They still want me to use the eye drops. So, does the surgery work? I’m thinking no, no it doesn’t . These doctors are just into performing surgeries! The eye pressure in each eye is 12. I think that is good! The nightly eye drops of Bimatoprost makes my vision blurry and my eyes dry! It’s a vicious circle!

      Dry eye disease staging is typically based on the results of dry eye disease testing performed in your eye doctor's office, such as TBUT, Shimer tear test, corneal staining, etc. In general, patients with mild dry eye disease may have intermittent symptoms of irritation, itching, soreness, ocular discomfort, burning, or blurred vision.
      Patients with moderate dry eye disease have increased discomfort and frequency of symptoms, and the negative effect on visual function may become more consistent.
      Patients with severe dry eye disease have an increasing frequency of visual symptoms that may become constant as well as potentially disabling.
      I hope this helps.

      I have the same issue with Lasix... and also back to wearing glasses ugh. If i had only known then what i know now..
      My Eye Institute gave me refresh Relieva which worked. In trying back contacts in on day 3. I tried Blink and that appears to sting my eyes. I just picked up the Refresh Digital PF. So we shall see.
      This far today, i did put the Refresh Relieva drop on my contact before putting it in my eyes and it's been 6 hrs and i have not needed any drops. Also I'm making sure I'm blinking since i work at a computer. Also, i didn't take my Allegra which i thought might be contributing to my dryness... we shall see....

    I have a Xen Gel Stent in both eyes. Should I use a gel eye drop? Would it get into and block the stent? Thanks for your informative videos!

      Eye drops applied to the surface of the eye typically do not interfere with implants or stents inside of the eye, such as Xen gel stent for glaucoma.
