Thanks so much for the information . I would like to know what is the best for dry eyes . some Doctors say, Wash your eyes every two hours with a lot of water and some doctors say no , don’t wash them with water , only with eyedrops -Artificial tears ,so please tell me what is the best for dry eyes .
OMG, you got right, doctor Tayani to do surgery on my eyelids he wanted surgery by pulling up my eyebrows, since he told me the eyebrows are sagging, so I took professional photos by telling me nothing is wrong with my eyebrows.
Thank you for sharing this video as i had no idea about allergy medicine. I'd been taking Allegra daily for over a year because the allergist said i should...i spotted taking them 5 days ago and using the warm composed plus Optase i saw from another Dr video. I'm on day 5 of Total1 and thus only had 1 day where it felt irritated. It's only my right eye that gets irritated. I had lasix 20+ years ago and used to wear colored contacts for about 10 years no issues and did not sleep in them cause they made my eyes dry. So i believe i always had dry eyes just not extreme. Also, the Eye Institute Dr said my dry eye is mild and i didn't need any prescription drops. The routine I'm doing is this: Drop of lumify and Optase warm compress 10 min and rub and finger tap my eyes. Then put a drop of Optase in each eye. Wait 5 min Then put in Total 1. Also, I'm waiting for the Omega 3 recommended brand by one of the eye dr it was about 75 bucks. Please share if i missed anything. Thank you thank you again.
YOU always keep things simple that are difficult to understand! I always thought that contacts were better than glasses, just had my bubble busted! Thanks.
Thanks. Dear doctor my right eye is not working due to wrong treatment. My life eye have cataract last 22 years. If you kind enough.. please let me help... please let me know
Hello Dr.Tai, thank you for bringing to our attention the awareness of these useful & very formative tips. …I myself have rather severe dry eyes both applying artificial-SYSTANE ULTRA Lubricant Eye drops daily and orally taking ZYRTEC medication( only when l feel it’s necessary).
The 4th thing is this, that you will never allow to be discussed. It is possible to get out of mild "nearsightedness", or to go from 0.5 Diopters, or 20/50, to +0.5 Diopters, or 20/20. It requires an intelligent, motivated engineer, to do it, however. No medical person, can do it for you.
I have myopia, amblyopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and cataracts. I’ve been wearing eyeglasses since 1961, RGP contacts since 1972, and will have cataract surgery this summer. I’ve been so fortunate to have skilled ophthalmologists like you, Dr. Tai, who have carefully tended to my vision problems, and thoroughly explained treatments and surgical procedures, allowing me to live a normal and active life. I bet your patients feel the same way.
Subscribed!, I'm always interested in good eye info, I only have the 2 and after 65 years they have taken a beating. 55 years of wearing glasses, failed contacts after 5 years of trying, vision so poor companies didn't make my prescription strength and when they did they actually kept sliding down out of position, now nearing getting cataract surgery and hoping IOL will be possible-so tired of all the problems related to wearing glasses. But still glad I wasn't born 100 years ago!
Very Informative - I did not know any of the side effects of the subject you covered. Do you have any suggestions for myopia. I am a 74 year old male and have been wearing glasses since 6 years old.
There are options for the correction of myopia, for example, intraocular lens implants placed during cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange surgery.
I have laser surgery it’s the best but they need to change lenses it’s implant and so great I’m parasited Now Problem is my cornea surgery I need second opinion to know why 3 years it’s still bothering me and painful some times tearing oh it pist me off . Anyone you can recommend that certified I need one . From California I will appreciate it it so pa
Hi dear...I have premature baby now 15 month old she had a ton of difficulties in NICU where she stayed for 3month...HIE NEC SEPSIS IVH GRADE 2 PVL...Now she has elilepsy and OPTIC ATROPHY AND DIOPTR 3... the ophtamologyst in our plase told us that there is noyhing that wr can do just exercises with cintrast colors but I want to find a way to help my baby even a little bit, so can you plase help me if there are exercise vitamins or whatever it is jus that can help my babys sight? Thank you
I had no idea that the risk of developing ulcerative keratitis with extended wear soft hydrogel lenses is a whole order of magnitude greater than that of daily disposable contact lenses. 10-15x is HUGE! It very well may be worth the higher cost of daily disposable lenses as a sort of insurance against infections.
Excellent information. Wow I was just given drops for my eyes and my eyes feel dry. I did get a full eye ex same I just had laze on one eye and waiting to have it on my right eye. My right I is blur my left eye is clear. Drops surprised me
Your eyes need to breathe. That's what one eye doctor told me. I have cut my eye with a contact lens. Don't ask how that happened. But I also have congenital nystagmus so my right eye shakes too much. I don't take allergy meds anymore cuz of me having dry eyes. I wish I could have LASIK instead of wearing contacts but I was told because of me having nystagmus. But I am OCD about me washing my hands when it comes to my eyes.
The information about antihistamines was most helpful to me. Have been taking Benadryl at night for sinus problems and have dry eyes and glaucoma. Will stop the antihistamine and try nasal saline. Thank you.
You might want to check out Austin Goh natural cures for your issues such as sinus, dry eyes, glaucoma...Other good sources to understand your problems are Dr Berg, Dr. Mandel, Dr Eckberg. Qigong, acupressure are helpful solutions to me and guided me to free myself from any medication.
Im lucky because i've never experience any eye infection in wearing contact lenses for over 2 decades now..my clear vision is absolutely relying on contact lenses without it i cant never worked..so im doing it right that i never go to sleep with contact lenses in.
Nice 😊 to know you are here. I like your presentation, subscribed, and am commenting. I have worn glasses since 12-years old. I have tried to wear contacts several times over the years. I had to many issues like falling out and losing them, having trouble putting them in right. I am still trying to decide if I should have lasik surgery . Thank you 😊. I will be watching.
I decided to go for Lasik since my eye care for contact lens is poor. I often get eye irritation with contact lens. I never regretted getting Lasik done but I know if I get cataract in the future, it might affect the lens to be implanted.
Never liked contacts, uncomfortable. Glasses aren't great but much less fuss. I want a nonsurgical treatment for cataracts. Where are they? Brother got Lasik. There IS risk from Lasik. He developed cataracts way before one normally develops cataracts.
Yes and what are long term risks of LASIK? Regression, irregular astigmatism, flap misalignment, haloes at night, thinner cornea which has implications for future glaucoma testing and subsequent surgeries eg cataract and glaucoma, chronic and severe dry eye because the corneal nerves are severed by the micro-keratome during flap creation.
I have a question for you…..how can two doctors diagnose you with a new PVD related floater and then four years later a two year optometrist tells you that you have glaucoma damage? I have been been waiting for almost three weeks for that optometrist’s office to transfer notes and records and NOTHING! Who should I believe?
How can that happen? because a PVD and glaucoma are separate conditions and the rate of glaucoma progression is variable and may not even have been present when you had the PVD.
The risk of microbial keratitis in daily wear is about 2 in 10,000. Ten times that for overnight is 20 in 10,000. I just had to point this out because there is a trend to state relative risk.
Interesting, but none are really surprising. Was aware of these. New subscriber. I'm interested to learn about cataracts and cataract surgery. Mine are only in the beginning stages. But they're noticeable especially in my left eye.
When you got laser surgery it has to Change your lens implant is the only one I have one so great. My problem is my surgery from cornea it’s so painful 3 years now . Anyone you can help me from California.
I hadd done my eye cataracts surgery in Nepal last 3 yrs back but not clear vision and fitted lense but not satisfied because I cannot see clear vision as expected. Lense moving up and down like something hanging before me. What to do suggest me.
Dear Doctor, 1. Is it safe to use eye drops for hay-fever if I have a cataract? 2. The pressure in my cataract eye is within normal range, is that acceptable for cataract surgery? 3. Anything I can do to halt the advancement of my cataract?

in case of cataract original humans lenses removed and artificial lenses fixed, why these are not get problem of germs and risk rather than eyes contact lenses . answer the question.
because the implant is inserted sterile the patient is given post operative antibiotics until the surgical wound heals and the eye is sterile internally and immuno-privileged.
Overnight wearing of contact lenses can increase the risk of infection. To learn more about infection risks with contact lenses, you can check out this video ruclips.net/video/zQjU8_mErc8/видео.html
OrthoK uses Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses. Their overnight risk is about half of soft contact lenses. Often OrthoK is used to control myopia, a condition which itself increases the lifetime risk retinal detachment. glaucoma, cataract and myopic maculopathy. Good hygiene, and sensible behaviours like replacing at recommended times, regular professional after cares, not cleaning and storing with tap water or saline, regular lens case replacement are important to reduce risk.
Let me know in the comments below which of the three things I mention in this video surprised you the most 👇

How many years do eyeglasses be changed?
Glasses are safest, laser surgery is surgery like any other surgery has risk, it is hard when u need cataract surgery after laser surgery.
That's true
Are you talking about Lazik surgery or laser surgery?? The accomplish different ends.
@@nanaprn7809 they are the same thing. Don't get lasik it makes cataract surgery complicated

Not really huge. The risk of MK is about 2 in 10,000. and yes single use lenses are the best.

Just had my eye exam yesterday. I don't wear contacts. The eye drops into was helpful because I do have allergies.

Most surprised about the lasik being less risky than long term lense wearing.
Great doc .thanks for valuable information
I did not know OTC allergy medicine can cause dry eyes.
God bless you
I read that lasik can exacerbate the problem if you are prone to dry eyes.
Contact lenses can also exacerbate dry eyes. Only glasses don't cause dry eyes :P
What about streaming eye boogers🤔😕😊
The third was the most surprising. Good video.
I appreciate your information on health care. i would like to know if msm with silver is a good eye drop ?
Thank you very informative.

I take mine out every night I do however sometimes take a nap with them that’s all
I am most surprised lasik also has risks
I had a corneal abrasion with extended wear contact lense and toric lense
I like to be your patient
