Bilberry may be problematic for diabetics. When I looked for more info, I came across a 2013 journal article that reported “ingestion of a concentrated bilberry extract reduces postprandial glycaemia and insulin in volunteers with T2D.” The reported 18% drop in blood sugar might be good for the subjects, who weren’t taking diabetes meds - but possibly dangerous for anyone who does take diabetes meds, especially without glucose testing.
