    I followed your steps exactly but did not get the same results. No Splash. Even on 256 Resolution Divisions (very long bake time too). I solved the problem by increasing the Surface Thickness on the sphere from 0.00 to 0.1. Now i get a NICE splash even while using 64 Resolution Divisions. The Blender version I am using is 2.82.7, yours appears to be 2.83.6... So i will need to watch for differences in the future. Nice tutorial - Thank You!

    I did a repair for the mantaflow, guys if there was a command in the liquid that detected the type of material; like when we use glass we can choose whether the liquid smokes or freezes, and it automatically creates particles in the object regardless of whether it is cold or hot.

    In your video next time, could you include the keys that you select on the screen. E.g. at 0:40 i did not know how to extrude region and thus i had to find out online from another source. A tutorial is made easier and quicker if you show what keys you press then viewers are less likely to look at other sources. This will be a great way for viewers like me to keep engaging with the video.

    Great tutorial and easy to follow. I'm a new Blender user, really to compliment C4D. One question I have about Liquids and Gas simulations is scale. How do you determine, for example, the scale of the drops and blobs of the water so your objects interacting with the liquid don't look like toys, but look life-size? I hope you understand my question. Thanks.

    • @JonathanKron
      @JonathanKron  4 года назад +1

      For me it's just playing around. I think there is a value called flip ratio which controlls how big the simulation is. And blenders metric system handels these things pretty well as default.

    I'm following the initial steps but not getting any results at all. After making the domain, effector and flow objects, nothing shows when I bake. Any suggestions where I'm going wrong?
    edit: got the simulation to appear, but the problem now is that the collision effector seems to not work at all, the water just falls through the cylinder and takes the shape of the domain. I've tried a few things like adjusting the thickness, flipping the normals etc. but nothing's working. Any suggestions? it's kind of driving me crazy that I'm following step by step and not getting the same results, haha

    Ich hätte zwei Fragen:
    1. Wenn Ich resolution auf z.B. 256 setze, dann crashed Blender bei mir. Wenn ich mir den Cache während des Bakings angucke sammelt der GiB, meint Blender damit, dass ich nicht genug Ram habe, um die Simulation fortzuführen?
    2. Wenn ich alles auf Default Settings lasse, dann ist meine Simulation sehr grob. Ich brauche weniger aufwendige splashes, als denn mehr ein detailreiches Mesh, mit feinen Wasserspritzern, etc. Anstelle der groben Standard-Simulation. Ich weiß nur nicht was ich in den Settings einstellen muss? Upres Factor, Particle Radius oder Resolution Devisions?
    Vielleicht kannst du mir helfen.
    Gruß,
    Vito
