That was me for a entire month that I needed to take a week off work and talk to a therapist. Because I got pushed to a breaking point where I felt like nothing I could do would make my current situation in life better and that I was hopeless.

swoozie thank you for this, ADHD is one of the most misinterpreted disorders. it is not just “i cannot pay attention” and this video explains the experience of it very well and accurately to my own experiences having it. i always thought that the constant overthinking as well as the literally walking into a room and forgetting what i was there for was just something that happened to everyone. at first i was astonished when i shared this info and people told me “yea what the fuck?”
We need more ADHD awareness.

Omg the giggling in public. Too real. Sometimes around friends and they ALWAYS ask “what?” And I have to explain to them the comedy that just happened in my mind
I don’t overthink when I need to go to sleep. My brain literally just WILL NOT turn off. I’ve been able to fall asleep without meds a few times, but it takes at least 30 minutes of no thoughts, which is HARD

That awkward moment when I have to restart this video 6 times because my ADHD removed my brain's ability to comprehend the ADHD video, because I was inexplicably googling things in French instead of paying attention.
I struggle with ADHD myself and I can say for sure the laundry part hits home. However, a lot of what you describe sounds more like anxiety to me than adhd.

Maaaan, I have autism and this is legit how my brain moves. It'll replay a clip of a show over and over, plays random scenarios that don't make no sense, start saying stuff that ain't even how I think... JUST A ROLLERCOASTER

As a hyperactive individual, falling asleep is a nightmare especially when I've had a lot on my mind whether it be cause of stress or excitement. It's like people are having a party in your head at 3 am and you're their neighbour just trying to relax.
I have such a hard time sleeping. I could be rly tired but when I get in my bed I start overthinking a lot and get stressed

I know having adhd can be frustrating for us, but we adhders have a superpower that the typical folk don't-and that's the ability to hyperfocus! Hyperfocus is basically a state of intense concentration where you're so tuned in to what you're doing (like watching this youtube video) that you don't notice external distractions. Thus, we can 'harness' this power to our advantage with honework by finding a way to emphasize the interesting parts

I have a question, do you feel your adhd symptoms actually worsen during the winter months? I've heard of seasonal symptoms associated with adhd and how the climate can affect them
@@jarbincks6715 hi! i do find that my symptoms worsen, i also have seasonal depression, so i find my emotions and adhd are definitely heightened during the winter months. :)

I haven’t been diagnosed (yet??) but that part where you went from listing foods to flowing into that song was so real for me. I got a crap score on my SATs because my brain kept going from reading the prompt to episodes of Pinky & the Brain (& others) based on similar things in the prompt!
Ended up taking the ACTs because (even though it had harder math that I was never taught) there was no penalties for guessing. I guessed my way into an academic scholarship!!
You know what's crazy?! I just went through my own RUclips rabbit hole the past few days, specifically about ADHD videos because I suspect I have inattentive ADHD. And this video pops up in my feed and I'm like wow now SwooZie pops up to add to my rabbit hole and procrastination from work 😂😂😂

Great video as always! However, seems to me a lot of the symptoms you are talking about relate more to OCD than ADHD - especially the intrusive thoughts/overthinking. This obviously comes from personal experience so curious as the whether Swooze has been diagnosed. I go through these things myself and have never been clear if I'm OCD, ADHD, slightly austisic or a combo of all

My mom has ADD and trying to talk to her is like running a mental marathon. She will start a conversation and ask you a question and before you can even answer she will interupt you with four other topics and by that point my eyes are like pinwheels trying to keep up.
