Don’t you ever bring cannabis into this.Never once have I ever heard anybody say they feel like doing a shooting after doing weed, it’s not weed or any other influence that made you do this, it’s evil, plain and simple
They are trying to make him seem like some lost and innocent boy with those baggy clothes, oversized glasses and hunched posture. His comment that he can't watch TV anymore is a massive stab to the victim's families.
I noticed the baggy clothes also. They hire professionals to decide how the criminal should look when he appears in court to elicit the most sympathy from the jury and judge. Even the way he is hunched over looks a bit contrived.
I couldn’t agree more. When he goes on about “hating drugs” and wished everyone would stop smoking weed I was baffled. Like what relevancy does that have to you slaughtering humans?
Never leave him alone. He truly doesn't understand the magnitude of all of this and I'm not sure he ever will. Keep an eye on him always ( if he lives).
" I cant even watch tv anymore" Really shows how much he cares for the people he shot and killed, that wont ever be able to do anything again. They cant look at their parents and say I love you. They cant sit down after a long day at school and relax with their family. For them that day at school, was their last moments on this earth.
"I have to live with this every day"? You have the audacity to say that to these people after you murdered their children? THEY have to live with it too! Not one iota of empathy or remorse. Just a coward afraid of punishment.
Ikr. The only thing hes sorry about is losing his freedom. He doesnt even know the trauma and pain that hes caused for the parents and the students that went to that high school, he will never understand what he put them through. What a devastating event. Rip to all the 17 souls 🙏❤️.
Most cowards sympathize for themselves. That’s all I heard in this disgrace of a speech. The court shouldn’t have allowed him to speak at all! Shame on his attorneys for even advising him that this was remotely a good idea.
He did. If you watch the full thing. He took full responsibility. Not excusing him, but I don’t think I’ve seen any serial killer plead guilty and clearly state that he’s not insane. They either try to claim insanity or deny their involvement
I'm wondering if the whole "I love you"/"I did this for you" thing was a (poorly) coded message to that girl he's obsessed with. He knew he was being broadcast, he knew it would likely be the only time he could ever get a message out. No doubt she's refusing any attempted direct contact, having already done so before he committed the murders.
He was such a huge waste of 9 months for his mother. He's perfect example as to why women need to retain their privacy rights over having or not having a baby. Because when they have an unwanted child that they cannot properly care for, we get these monsters as a result.
If a person does that their brain doesn’t work right. In my mind that’s different from a bad person who can’t control his emotions. Why I’m torn about executing a sick mind, but I understand why. I just don’t feel 100% confident in this case about death sentence, when comparing him to other peoples heinous crimes. Or maybe mentally doesn’t matter, and it’s the actions that matter. At the end of the day, I think you’re 100% right, he’s got something in his head that will cause him to kill again, if given the chance.
@@lukesanchez1024 I mean, weed is pretty harmless under the circumstances that your brain is developed and you have no serious mental health issues. And even if you do have mental health issues, in some cases, with correct dosage, it can actually be used to treat these mental health conditions.
Jesus can still save this guy’s soul. “We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. This is what is so great about our God, no matter how small or great the sin it, for this that repent for sin and put trust in Jesus, he WILL save their soul from hell to come!
I can't imagine how the victims and families felt hearing this. I'm sure that he is really sorry now, but hearing his videos about how he bragged about what he was going to do, and bragging about wanting to kill people and see their families suffer. I feel some pity for him because I can't even imagine trying to live with myself if I did something like this. I couldn't even look in the mirror and would want the death penalty because I doubt I could live with what I had done. I do feel some pity for that but I also believe that he should get the death penalty. Life with no parole is expensive for the tax payers, and because he killed children.
You are completely misunderstanding the situation. You assume that he has feelings like you, but a narcissist isnt like that, they only care about there own feelings, the only purpose of other people is as puppets in the narcissists life. He doesnt care about anyone elses feelings because in his mind he is the only one that matters. You assume he thinks like a normal person….he does not. Its clear inhis statement that he is a petulant narcissistic creep
He needs Life without Parole. Death Penalty and dying is easy out. He needs to live to hear and see what he did to the viticms and families. Playing their testimonies over and over to him to hear over and over along with his coherent video him made before hand and the ignorant non apology he gave in this video. I believe in forgiveness but I don't believe he needs the easy out of being put to death.
Well to be quite honest, this case was a slam dunk and already predetermined. This is actually a common practice in cases where the defendant has plead guilty to multiple homicides. It's actually good nurtouring for young judges. Just like any profession, you need to start somewhere. There are trials and tribulations in all careers. There is absolutely no way that young and learning judges can possibly mess this up. The defendant has pled guilty to 17 counts of premeditated homicide! There are specific guidelines that must be followed as far as sentencing. This hearing is more a formality. It's more for the families, who deserve to be heard by the world. This is also an opportunity for Cruz to feel the full weight and sorrow from the victims friends and families. Without these hearings over the past few weeks. It would be as if Cruz got 17 free kills and slipped out behind the stage without ever having to confront these families . If this man has the ability to be rehabilitated in his 744 year maximum Florida prison sentence. Or whether he can mill over it the next 7-10 years before they put him to sleep! Which still seems to easy to me! I don't mean to sound barbaric. But there are still at least a dozen or so nations that impose Capital punishment in the manner that you took your victims life. I believe he needs to understand that pain, if only for a few seconds 😡 I better stop, time to go to work, and I don't like where this is going...God bless everyone!
The craziest part of this video to me, besides the pathetic statement made by the shooter was that the judge seemingly didn’t know what to do and basically let the lawyers tell her what she could do.
He not only killed and injured the victims but has caused severe mental anguish to the survivors. These young people and teachers are scarred severely by this atrocity. They witnessed their schoolmates lives being taken. His apology was fake. He is sorry for himself. It will take years and years for these victims to heal if they can.
Exactly the survivors and the victims families and extended family and friends so many people will forever be damaged by his choices that day. I have 0 sympathy for this person.
He not only affected family and friends but our society also. He puts fear in some of us. Should I send my child to school... should I do online schooling? Should I go to the store and risk having an unglued person like this one take me out or have my groceries delivered? I think we all push through and live our lives but people like this implant fears that we try to ignore.
There were 3 charges she had to give him, one for each officer, she didn't want to mess any thing up to open a door for a retrial. She is brand new to the bench.
He will be out after 25 years, eating a cheeseburger at a local McDonald’s joint next to the victims families, and there’s nothing they can do about it.
I for one think it's a good idea for his apology to be broadcast far and wide. As a lesson to anyone else of the guilt one feels after horrendous actions.
How dare this monster speak, let alone speak about how he is the victim!!! He can’t watch TV, he has nightmares, he has to live with this… I’m absolutely appalled the courts allowed this! This demon belongs in Hell, a place where he will never be free from the sounds, the feeling of horrific pain he brought upon these innocent victims, the intense fear, and the agonizing feelings of death 17 people endured. That is his eternity!
God will be the judge of his eternity. If he truly repents in his heart and gives his life to Jesus christ he will be forgiven and go to heaven. It's not our business to condemn the man, yes what he did was horrible. Also this isn't about a religion or title It's about having a personal relationship with God and Jesus christ
I went to school at Stoneman Douglas several years before this atrocity and even those who are disconnected can feel the pain and horror his victims were subjected to. They all deserve justice. Whether from God or from the Jury or both. But do I believe his apology is sincere? I stopped believing sociopaths have the ability to change. He was on a mission directly from the Devil and he accomplished it. I hope he is subjected to the same fear.
Them psychopathic narcissistic dualities can fool the masses Nutty Professor Clark Kent virtue signaling camouflage outfit hes wearing when them types like him play the victim with cognitive fake empathy to seem sorry.. very good observation can't stand these monstrous type people total danger to society 😈
He is despicable. He did this to himself, he doesn't have to live with anything but guilt of getting caught. Those children had their lives taken from them. He is still alive and gets to feel! This is his attempt to avoid the death penalty by coming across remorseful, nothing more!
He seemed calm enough right after doing the shooting. And his manifesto showed not one bit of doubt over whether he should do this. His words: "I can't wait." Others do not exist as persons of any importance in his little twisted mind. he is the center of the universe as far as he thinks. No punishment is too harsh for him.
It takes a man to forgive the man who killed your children. His apology may have been weak, but he wasn’t laughing like some who say they’d do it 10 more times if they could.
he can't watch tv they can't watch their lives anymore. they can't see them selves have kids, get married, and try to succeed in life but hes complaining he can't watch tv
17 counts of murder and i didnt hear a single "life sentence"... like wtf is wrong with the justice system? is this for something completely different?
That pissed me off too. I love weed and I used to be an opioid addict(technically still am), I and people like me aren't the problem with society. People like him who dont value others rights to live or any other rights for that matter are .
I'm shocked he didn't try to blame it on video games. There was a long term study on this and just a year or so ago it was actually proven it was FALSE.
This court room is wild. The fact he clearly said he understands its up to the jurt but wants the victims to say what happens didnt need to be explained 10 times.. this is why this sharade is dragging out jeez
He says he has to live with what he did everyday. The key word is LIVE, he didn't give those victims the right to live, he made it for them. But, yet he can stand and apologize. God help us.
The judge doesn’t impress me. She sounds confused many times and looks for the attorneys to clarify the law. She also missed what Nick Cruz said. Her state of confusion comes across as very incompetent.
Very very bad. A judge should never show lack of knowledge of the law, especially in open court. She should adjourn and then go and read the law she already should have known. So incompetent. Shocking
He won't be sorry until he's 80 years old and is asked if he feels like he's been rehabilitated. And he asks himself why he was the way he was back in 2022. He's not sorry yet. Not a chance.
He’s trying to make himself seem like a victim “I can’t even watch tv anymore.” Excuse me they can’t see their loved ones anymore because of you and you are worrying about TV?!
That guy is a psycho and a monster pure and simple and executioner who executed those kids in the school and then day he picked to carry out his massacre on valentine's day.what a sick joker he is and a maniac and then he wants his life spared.
I think what his saying is that the trauma of him killin others has gotten to a point that he cant watch the tv because on tv all you here is violence which is the same thing that happened in his case. Theres so many mass shootings happening that you put the tv on and what you here is another mas shooting
"anything you say can and will be used against you"... if he can't watch tv anymore, let's put him in a lifetime prison, no windows, handcuffed, just a tv with this trial playing in a loop forever
Seems like an off person in general. It sounds like he's just saying what he thinks people want to hear. A person who can make a decision like this does not deserve mercy in any form. May he rot in jail and never see another day of peace.
The fact that life or death is even up for debate is appalling, I think it is one of the things that motivates these people to do these things is that it takes years and years of courts to reach a verdict
It’s not appalling, it’s how our justice system works to ensure fair treatment for all. It’s baffling how people don’t or can’t understand that we cannot pick and choose when we apply processes. It has to be fair for all otherwise is fair for none.
@@shevegan4302 Some would argue this demon/ non-human forfeited his right to live in a civilized world, even one of prison . You may not appear to be so righteous. God bless and remember "Eye for an eye" is what the Good Book says
@@AlmostReady504 who would argue that? Legally no one would make that argument because it doesn’t exist. Even if we’re emotional about this case the law exists for a reason. We don’t get to pick and choose when and to whom it is applied.
@@roadrunner8488 no worries. You mean in this case? How is it not working? We haven’t even got to the part where he is sentenced. Please understand he is already guilty, this is just the trial for the sentence. He is either going to jail for life or will be sentenced to death. How is that not working?
If you watch the psychology video on this guy on youtube you can see that after the shooting he acts insane, but only when the cops are questioning him. When the cops leave the room he is perfectly fine. He knew what he did and he should not have spoken here at all. He is just a sick person and life in prison is not good enough of a punishment. If I find the link of the psychology video I'll post it here. This wasn't about being high. That was his normal state of mind.
If he was in gen pop it would be he'd end up raped and killed like dahmer. Only probably worse because even dudes in prison the most stone cold gangsters and organized crime people(well the majority anyway) know it's sick to kill or hurt kids.
i don't get why you Americans believe that the death sentence is worse than life in Prison. I guess to rot in a cell for 50-60 years, is much bigger of a punishment, than just to be dead.
@@Felix-oy2jg I don't know what the jail system is like where you're from but in North America they have many rights, some more so than the law abiding tax paying public, such as no wait time for medical treatment, mental health treatment. Free education, tv's, computers, some have video game consoles in their cells. Free gym, concerts, plays, movies. Some get married so they can have conjugal visits alone in private rooms. People out here working 3, 4 jobs and can barely afford toilletries, fresh food, 1 meal per day or even have hot showers because they can't afford the high cost of utilities....they get everything free.

"..yeah after being caught. and yeah the drugs is just further self promotion, trying to say it wasnt his fault despite pleading guilty. Not a pysch, but id say hes pretty classically a narcissist. he doesnt seem to have the power to put himself in someone elses shoes. he only sees what he is facing and its no longer fun. he wants out of the mess he made. "if I could go back, ID help people" how about if youd go back youd not kill theri loved ones and not cause such anguish and pain to the families. But that would be taking responsibility and realizing the pain of the surviving families. And if you havent watch the interrogation of this .. thing. he is a practiced actor and liar.
I believe you are correct. To some degree we are all narcisits but true understanding and empathy would have involved him taking responsibility for his actions AND awknowledging that he at least can't phathom how much pain he caused each family by ending a life of a kid. This guy already got caught lying about him being mentally ill or insane.
No one in these comments watched the full hearing. If you did, you’d see he took full responsibility and confidently stated that he is not insane and deserves whatever is coming his way. His last statement was an unnecessay rant that was in two parts. He was tryna say the families should decide if he lives in jail forever or put to death and he’s ok with what they decide. Not any hero nor does he deserve a pat on the back, but he’s owning up. This video is out of context

What I see is an outrageous anger-management problem that should have been settled in counseling sessions. When that shooter went through the halls of the school with his shotgun, it was an angry teen who has gotten the idea that guns can be used to settle arguments. Everyone failed in this situation: parents, counselors, school, police and Nikolas himself! The number of students killed, the number of students wounded and the manner of killing (going back to reshoot victims) makes it clear that death is the only option. It is too late for counseling and it is obvious that Nikolas has no clue as to what he really did!

The shooter in Texas didn't bring a gun to school for malicious reasons though. He was getting beat up daily, bullied, and jumped. I noticed the baggy clothes also. They hire professionals to decide how the criminal should look when he appears in court to elicit the most sympathy from the jury and judge. Even the way he is hunched over looks a bit contrived.

I can't imagine how the victims and families felt hearing this. I'm sure that he is really sorry now, but hearing his videos about how he bragged about what he was going to do, and bragging about wanting to kill people and see their families suffer.
"I'm trying my best to maintain my composure???"
Every time I hear this....
What else can he do?
The craziest part of this video to me, besides the pathetic statement made by the shooter was that the judge seemingly didn’t know what to do and basically let the lawyers tell her what she could do.
He not only killed and injured the victims but has caused severe mental anguish to the survivors. These young people and teachers are scarred severely by this atrocity. They witnessed their schoolmates lives being taken. His apology was fake. He is sorry for himself. It will take years and years for these victims to heal if they can.

Black school shooter from last week didn’t even go to jail. I can’t remember where but Im not voting liberal ever again! These situations always happens at liberal ran cities
@@chubbrubbed2567 that was in Texas of all places. I couldn't believe it. Our system is corrupt and broken.
@@chubbrubbed2567 true
The shooter in Texas didn't bring a gun to school for malicious reasons though. He was getting beat up daily, bullied, and jumped. His parents and himself talked to the school multiple times and when they wouldn't do anything they even went to the police, yet still nothing was done. He felt he needed to protect himself and even with the gun his intention wasn't to shoot anyone.
@@suzydaly9210 u are let’s go Brandon
Every one makes mistake but victims should be the ones to decide. He stole innocent lives.
What this boy did was not a mistake. A mistake is dotting a T or crossing an I. What this coward did was methodically evil.
@@drew2fast489 true, you're right.
Refresh my brain please 🥺 How many people did he kill? 🤔
@@annmoore8696 I believe 17
@@violet9946 so very Sad 😭💔🙏 RIP to All of the Angels
Why did this man bring up Marijuana and racism, he’s going to jail for murder!
Man never seen anyone go on a killing spree high. This dude out of his mind
“I’m doing this for you and do not care if you don’t believe me, I love you” bruh lmao
Wtf! It's either death or life no parole, there's no second chance, no rehabilitation! He's a monster, he's acting like a meek remorseful human when in fact he's a manipulating grub, who cares what he says or thinks. Lock him away and never speak his name again
Right on
THANK YOU
Why are you so worked up? He pled guilty and will get his punishment. No need to get your panties in a bunch. Live your life.
There is always hope.
@John Bandy
No, hes proven he is a hopeless case! I think you need to seek some mental help. Theres shrinks you can pay to see! Alot of us dont want to and wont forgive him! If you want to who cares. But we dont have to forgive a psycho!
He feels zero percent sorry. Cold and emotionally disconnected is how he sounds. He made a rant about drugs and marijuana. Like what
So, what did he think the judge was gonna say? "Hey, he said he's sorry, second chance granted! Case dismissed!"
He seems unbelievably self preoccupied and extremely immature! Can’t watch tv, has nightmares, has to live with it every day??? Good I hope every day is a nightmare for you Cruz! Those poor families having to be subjected to this murderer’s hollow words!
That would fall in line with his low IQ and learning disabilities.
