I’ve been in two lockdowns, however they were soft lockdowns cause there was a danger outside of the school, so I’ve never been in a hard lockdown. And I never want to either, whenever I go to school, I’ve got a plan in the back of my head in case something like that were to happen because it’s a really scary thing to think about. I hope your ok and I wouldn’t say it screwed you up, you just have PTSD and your traumatized. Your a warrior my friend. You survived one of the worst things that could happen. School shootings are not ok! School is already a difficult place for kids cause of bullying and the pressure of learning and getting good grades but going to school everyday not knowing your gonna make it home, is UNACCEPTABLE! You specify it should be after the conviction but a human being ultimately has to make that decision. A heinous crime like this most wouldn't object to your statement, but it sets a precedent for other criminals. That is the start of a slippery slope because as we know, humans are full of bias. If you're informed on the state of our prison system, you would know there is a loophole in the 13th amendment, allowing slavery as punishment for convicts, thus disproportionately affecting minorities in an attempt to hold on to slavery by arresting and convicting them far more frequently than white people. It is another well known fact that white supremacy is rampant in both law enforcement AND judiciaries. If you think they wouldn't jump at the chance to take rights from certain groups but not others you are sorely mistaken.
Not to mention capital punishment is already an option and far more humane than what the government would do if you let them. So what exactly would you do to these people if deaths not good enough for you?
I could go on about how circumventing the law defeats the purpose of checks and balances but I think you get the idea.

@SkyNet General Actually, it sounds like it’s not true that he was not a bad kid. He killed animals & brought them to school with their heads cut off. He threatened & injured his mother on multiple occasions. And this is from a witness to altercations of his with his mother
“The witness described hearing Nikolas Cruz screaming at Lynda Cruz while talking with her on the telephone.
The witness heard Nikolas Cruz threaten to kill Lynda Cruz and burn the house down. He repeatedly told Lynda Cruz to kill herself but if she won’t he will do it for her and burn the house down with her in it so he can watch her burn. He further stated that then no one will stop him from what he needed to do.
Cruz stated things to the effect that with Lynda gone he would be able to do whatever he wanted. The bank employee knew that Nikolas had directed Lynda Cruz to kill herself or that he would kill her.
Lynda complained that Nikolas would intentionally leave food out to attract bugs to make her life miserable.
He would say, “Get off your fat ass and clean it or go kill yourself so that way we all could be happy.”
The banker asked Lynda about police involvement or mental health to try to help her. Lynda Cruz told her that Nikolas was very good at making people think that he doesn’t know what he is dong.
Lynda Cruz was adamant that he (Nikolas Cruz) knew exactly what he is doing but played people into thinking that he had such a horrible life and he had been bullied and was depressed, but that was not the case. The impression she had was that Nikolas was highly manipulative.
Lynda Cruz had visited the branch shortly before her death in November of 2017.
She looked upset and the Banker asked why she didn’t just kick Nikolas out of the house, to which Lynda replied: "I don’t know what he’s going to do.”
The witness described Lynda Cruz as living in fear every day because Nikolas would threaten her and Zachary daily. She further described the conversation when Nikolas was threatening to burn the house down and Nikolas said, “They will really know me soon, don’t worry, they’ll see.”
Lynda Cruz told the witness that Nikolas had been kicked out of school because he had said he was going to go there and blow all those people away. She described his language as extremely racist. Nikolas Cruz had said something to the effect of, “It doesn’t matter they’re going to think I am crazy anyway.”
Lynda Cruz called Nikolas Cruz “evil.”
A short time after Lynda died Nikolas Cruz was in the branch with a female guardian and Lynda’s debit card. He provided the card to the bank employee. He had no emotion and said he wanted to know how to get the funds from that account. He asked how long it was going to take because he had things to do.
The bank employee never reported any of the above information to anyone until she was interviewed after the MSD shooting.”

I GREW UP being bullied. From 5th all the way to 12th. I had and still have severe chronic depression and anxiety. I have dealt with mental health issues that were worsened by said bullying. Yet not once, not ONCE did I ever and I mean EVER…think about taking another life due to that. This “victim blaming” for these school shooters need to stop. I was in the district where the Mansfield Timberview shooting happened. They ALSO said that kid was bullied. But everyone of the kids knew he wasn’t. It was the adults who actually pushed that. These people who commit these acts do NOT deserve sympathy at all. They shouldn’t even have their names broadcasted. Some of them even have stated they did it for the popularity. All they need to be is a number with an unknown name in a statistic…thank you for reading my Ted Talk.
