can you explain how your costly punch manages to do the right amount of damage without heavenly or sky high ?
I have all the other genji but not this one & I am really struggling with it
it is the last part I need for the trophy & I also need it in preperation for Minerva

surely that is not from Materia & Gear alone I am 76 & mine are no way near close

If you go into 1-1 and get heavenly on your DMW before doing this grind I found it easier to get octoslash

Cool. Having a mastered Octoslash DMW materia + already having heavenly on DMW by using the Lucky Stars on Mission 1-1 trick would probably reduce the time considerably too.

i have all the setup/matera and accessories but the DMW never lands on octaslash. it always land on a different DMW and i ran out of time, the pot just run away. i been trying for 2 hrs. the randomness is very bad.

@SwitchBrokey no I don't think it's worth it. The RGN is bad. I'll wait till chapter 10 to buy octaslash materia to increase my chances of rolling a octaslash DMW

Yes Costly Punch as long as you have dmg limit and and health limit break
