If you add elixirs to the fusion of both Darkness materia, your HP percentage increases greatly. As of writing this comment, l'm fusioning: Darkness (HP +20%) + Darkness (HP +20%) + 9 elixirs = Darkness (HP +120%). Hope this helps
Found an easier way!!! 6-6-3 kill the worms for Dark matter with moogle amulet equipped. When you have 99 of them, fuse in all of them MINUS ONE into it, then fuse one single stat item for the stat you want it to stay as. For example. Fuse a goblin punch to +99 magic. Then fuse it to make a Costly punch with 1 hp fusion item. It will be a Costly punch with +999% HP 😊
I ask because anytime I add any Materia to Goblin Punch it creates a different Materia, so how do you add any Dark Matter Items to Goblin punch through fusion without adding a second Materia as that would change Goblin punch?
@@aggin10 I believe you can add Libra to most materia that is NOT mastered, and it will stay the same. For specifics you'd have to check a fusion guide. for making my Electrocute, if I tried using a mastered electocute it would turn into Quake or something like that, but using a non-mastered one and libra it came out as Electrocute again. But you can put in the bulk of the materials whenever you want along the fusion chain as long as you don't max out the stat value. Once it's maxed it's locked in.
For the newbies out there like me who are having a hard time with the Demon Farm method. Still use what he recommends. I equipped Brutal, Brigands Gloves and Mog Amulet. However also equip a Safety Bit as your 4 accessory. The demons kept killing me with Death so safety bit will completely negate that. Also use electrocute materia along with blast wave. The hornets will interrupt your attacks pretty much constantly so start the fight with electrocute even at low magic 50 it still one shots the hornets then you can easily proceed to blast wave down the demons. Hope this helps
For anyone wondering how to put this from Darkness to Curaga: Darkness HP999% (unmastered) + Death = Death Death HP999% + Cura = Curaga HP999% (Cura can be bought from happy turtle shop)
To put this from Darkness to HP++: Darkness HP999% + SPR UP (unmastered) = Elemental Ward HP999% Elemental Ward HP999% + HP Up++ (mastered) = HP Up++ HP999% (you can make HP++ with HP+ & HP+ both of which are mastered)
Just fyi you can get the hp to curaga by combining darkness with poisen to make death then merge death onto curaga for it to stay curaga but with the %

Yeah every time you want to upgrade your curaga with more % from darkness grinding you just need to convert it to death and merge it again with your curaga
Bit confused here. He says at beginning of video can hit 99.999hp and can be done by chapter 2. How is it possible to get hp limit break by chapter 2? Otherwise it would be 9999 max, and then only 99.999 after you get adaman bangle, which is chapter 4 earliest and behind some really hard missions. What have I missed?
Sorry but I am just being dumb? You can't fuse any materia til chapter 3 and you can't add items to the fusion until later still. How can this Be done by chapter 2/3
Not sure how this happened, but I was able to get Darkness up to +950% before I ran out of SP. Farmed for a little bit, then came right back to try it again, and for some reason now when I do the exact same thing instead of getting +960% when fusing with a +20% HP, it's turning into Quake +960%. Should I be worried? EDIT: Well, bugger, I think I screwed up because I actually equipped that materia, so it's now Mastered. Oh well, 950% is still pretty decent.
@@redragon88 Looks like what happened is I mastered it. In order to un-master it I had to transfer a couple times to I believe a Hell Firaga and then a Status Ward, something like that. Wasn't a problem though, just check a guide.

I'm currently using the Darkness method and I must say that the method is easy to do. However, you must need a lot of SP. So I will check out your guide to farm SP. The most tedious part is the constant fusion of Darkness materia. It takes a while to fuse everything. My advice is to have a lot of SP. I also recommend to not flee because you can get SP that way by earning SP and fira materia that you can convert to SP. You also can get a lot of HI Potions too. Also, it's fun and quick to kill enemies with a high magic stat and with electrocute. So it's ok for me at least to not flee the battle. Thanks again for the guide, Primalliquid!!! :)

No its not, maybe look at my other guides, you can see the materia maxed out with 20 hours on the clock in chapter 4, i simply didnt record these guides until later, or likewise you can watch my walkthrough where ill be maxing it out aswell for everybody to see its easy to do early
There is one important thing that you forgot to tell us and that is we need an hp limit break. Getting 999% hp on a materia isn't enough. There are quite a few limit break items in the game. Adaman Bangle is the easiest hp limit break to get in the game when compared to the other two items. You get Adaman bangle in mission 7-3-5 and that is 7 stars. Bro, most players, especially newcomers, can't do that mission. That mission will be too strong for them. Lol. Primal liquid, did you really get the Adaman Bangle when you were in chapter 3? You sound like you are saying that you did. But how? That's a high level mission. Is it because you are playing on normal mode? Idk. I'm playing on hard mode and missions are tough. I can get one shot easily in high ranking missions and it's annoying.
The only thing I had trouble on in chapter 3 of high level missions is the malboro its got too much HP, and has made me use 9 phoenix downs to beat lol.

There is something that I'm not fully understanding. Are you saying that chapter 3 players can complete 10 star missions? I don't think I was able to do 7 star missions at chapter 3. Most chapter 3 players won't be strong enough to handle 10 star missions. This is a rpg after all so someone can be over powered at a early chapter. But...having a high level doesn't really make you super strong for high ranking missions due to my experience playing the game. I will admit that I had an easier time doing high ranking missions by using Darkness materia than my sword. I could be wrong but I believe enemies damaged faster with Darkness materia than my sword. I'm not sure but that makes sense since Darkness has a high attack power. Also, it's easy to avoid enemies in this game. Primalliquid, if you are able to do and complete 10 star missions at chapter 3, then I'm impressed. I'm at chapter 6 but I don't think I'm able to do 10 star missions. I need this hp buff because I keep getting one shot killed in missions like rank 6 missions. And it's annoying. Im at level 54. I don't get how being at level 54 makes me so defenseless. yes its entirely possible to do 10 star missions in chapter 3, you can easily max out a bunch of stats with materia and equipment this early, it all comes down to your build
@Primalliquid92 I finally figured out why I wasn't strong enough for some missions. Because I'm playing on hard mode. You are playing on normal mode. That's why you are able to easily do some high ranking missions. Players who are playing on hard mode will have a more difficult time with those high ranking missions. So I doubt chapter 3 played will complete 10 star missions on hard mode.
@@akristobal47 Speak to the Researcher in the Shinra HQ Materia Room in Chapter 2 before speaking to Tseng to unlock mission 8-2-1, then do all the 8-2-x, they'll unlock the 8-3-x series and you have to complete those too. Mission 8-3-6 contains Steal in a chest. Alternatively you can progress through the story in chapter 4 and you'll unlock it.
HP up is pointless, use a materia your actually going to use, you can easily transfer hp from darkness to another materia that is actually beneficial like gil toss or high jump ect

So if you want max stats and max HP, you are forced to use ziedrich? I was planning to use genji shield, genji gloves, divine slayer and heike souls, but if that means not max stats, it kinda ruins my plans :(
if you want to max as much as possible then yes zeidrich would be needed, if you just want HP, Vit and Spirit maxed (all that matters for later stages) you can use 2 materia to boost each stat

He literally said it. The Darkness Method is for Darkness only. If you want HP on a Specific Materia you have to use the 2nd Method with Fat Chocobo Feathers.

I was able to fuse darkness with costly punch (mastered) and having it retain as costly punch. You're a able to transfer the stat boost to another materia when darkness is at 1 star and the other materia mastered
So how do you change the darkness with maxed HP to another materia of your choice? If it is not possible then I might as well just do the fat chocobo feather farm method lol

I got a Darkness HP +140% and a bunch of base Darkness materia, but it stopped turning them into Darkness HP +10 higher than previous and just turns it into Quake. Did I screw up somewhere? EDIT: Nevermind, I think it's because my Darkness HP +140% is mastered.

i'm desperately trying to get mug to +999% i already have aerial drain with 999% health, but for 99.999 health you need two materia with this, right? but no matter what i try, i cant get mug ( or steal ) to 999% hp with the first method. unfortunately, i am still too weak for the second method. not even close to beating lvl 10 missions.
The most i got was 63'000 and i ran out of feathers and started using other stuff didn't max me out luckily i saved before i think it really is the chocobo feathers i don't think u can substitute anything
some missions are harder than the stars dictate likewise, some are easier only advice i can give is to check out the "overpowered" video for builds to use
you can still do it, just double check you have unlocked the missable missions from my "all missable missions guide" video, if you have just continue playing and if you get stuck while trying to max stats check out my "get overpowered" video
I don't know if reunion the same as the psp version, coz i play psp version only, but i remember stealing 99 phoenix down from minerva and use that as an item to increase materia stat.
I remember back in the day when i played the original, i used a method where you steal from a shinra monster, its like the 1st you showed, dont know if it still works

you cant and likewise cant increase fullcure stats iirc, i believe its the lowest tier on the materia list so its always over wrote, you can possible use 2 full cure materia with item fusion
for HP yes, but if you want to build other stats you can can farm darkness and use 99% but replace the last 1% with any other stat to convert to that stat 100% :)
I absolutely cannot max out genesis DMW. Stuck at 55%, have left my game idle in a mission for over 30 hours man! Do not get what the issue is everyone else is at 100%
Master Jump and master Graviga only makes Exploder Blade not blast wave but Master Jump and Master vital slash does make blast wave and yes I did try add item to the fusion only adds stats to it

I have an important question. How the F**K are you getting darkness to drop from killing the demons? Are you using a different kind of "MUG". You are using Electrocute and the Darkness materia is dropping. i dont get it.
I don't get it. I can't get my hp above 9999. You can't obtain the genji armour until you max out the dmw? And the other armour that let's you exceed 9999 is a mission that doesn't unlock until later in the game. So you can only get genji armour if you're willing to spend 2 to 3 hours running circles around tonberries in hopes your summon will luckily pluck a super rare armour out of his pot? Am I missing something?

is it possible to get the HP percentage from Darkness over to a Curaga materia by chance? I'm working on getting Brutal, but I'm stuck on 7-4-5, having issues dealing damage to High HP items, so I need HP to survive like 12-13k damage attacks lol.
You know this Game is 13 Years old right? Most of the Stuff you already could use back then is also possible now. Most ppl already grindet the Shit out of the original and there are plenty of guides. For FF16 it will be a complete new Game and most ppl have to figure out broken Stuff.
I'm just trying to break the damage cap. I have a costly punch +540%. I need the 99,999 damage because I am getting owned in some of the later missions.. I don't have any more phoenix downs, fat chocobo feathers, or elixirs to increase that HP. I know after I get to +990% I need to combine with a Hero Drink for the damage, but do you know any other possible way to get phoenix downs, elixirs, or fat chocobo feathers?? All of the guides suggest missions that I feel like I need the 99,999 damage for lol because all of those missions I get owned in.
costly punch damage is NOT based on your attack stat, its based on your HP. and if your in HP break status (so you have more hp than your max) costly punch damage is nerfed right down
It's possible it's just going to take alot of grinding I had steal before I received it in game by Bruno and I had everything unlocked except for 6-3-4 mission which I only needed to complete 6-3-3 for. It is possible but it takes a bit.

actually adaman bangle is chapter 3, you can unlock all the M8 and M9 missions at the mako reactor near the end of CH3

Check to see if Darkness mastered fuses with anything else that keeps it as Darkness, then use chocobo feathers to finish it.

For blast wave it’s master graviga and assault twister not jump.
@TitansDogma it's also Graviga with 1 star Jump not a master Jump... you'll get exploder blade if Jump is mastered

i got it in chapter 3 so it's possible, blast wave, darkness, electrocute are high damage skills that can allow you to get it in 9-2-4

Can you tell me EXACTLY where to get Mug and/or Steal in chapter 2 or 3? I read everywhere that you can't access them at that point.
Fuse Steal materia with hammer punch is the earliest. I think there are other combinations with steal mastered.

So if you want max stats and max HP, you are forced to use ziedrich? I was planning to use genji shield, genji gloves, divine slayer and heike souls, but if that means not max stats, it kinda ruins my plans :(
if you want to max as much as possible then yes zeidrich would be needed, if you just want HP, Vit and Spirit maxed (all that matters for later stages) you can use 2 materia to boost each stat

After I made it to Zack’s clone against Hojo. I decided to use my PS4 Max Wizard aka Game Shark & apply cheats to max out all of Zack’s stats instead.
I have one electrocute with +160% HP and i would like to improve his level. Which materia can i fuse with this one using the stone to have the same electrocute HP +999%?

To get 4 at the end you need a double item accesory like jeweled ring

You tell how to get Darkness 999% HP. But you don't tell the people, how to put that 999% HP Stat unto other Materia then.
My question to. Unless its by having 999% on an equipped Darkness is how you get the HP boost. I’m not sure you can move attributes to other materia w/o changing them
He literally said it. The Darkness Method is for Darkness only. If you want HP on a Specific Materia you have to use the 2nd Method with Fat Chocobo Feathers.

I was able to fuse darkness with costly punch (mastered) and having it retain as costly punch. You're a able to transfer the stat boost to another materia when darkness is at 1 star and the other materia mastered
when you have de Darkness with 999%HP, you can fusion with another materia? like HP UP? and get the HP UP with the 999%HP?
Better to not waste 999% HP on HP UP as it's a passive materia and waste f a slot putting it on Curaga will be a better choice

I got a Darkness HP +140% and a bunch of base Darkness materia, but it stopped turning them into Darkness HP +10 higher than previous and just turns it into Quake. Did I screw up somewhere?

I’ve got darkness at +630% but now when trying to combine it with another darkness, it tries to turn it into a quake. How do I get it to +999?
have you leveled it up? normally 2 darkness materia only result in quake when one is mastered
@@Primalliquid92 dang yeah the 630% is mastered, weird it lets you go up that high before changing to quake! At least the grind isn’t very long to get the darkness materia haha
honestly having quake is fine anyway its an amazing grinding spell and deals a ton of damage with dualcast

Use costly punch or something that ignores and passes through defenses
you need something that ignores defence, the punch materia's are best for this, but iirc flare also works

some missions are harder than the stars dictate likewise, some are easier only advice i can give is to check out the "overpowered" video for builds to use

Ya me too. Until I try to add phoenix down as an item but it won't let me. So there's a change right there.

its a chest in missions or you can steal it from crazy saw in missions and yes, it can be unlocked in chapter 3 as shown in my walkthrough series

Because you already maxed out the materia stat lol. If you had it lets say 980% HP then you could do it.
Can you not just simply transfer the darkness with 999%hp to the materia of your choice later? I'm not sure if that would change the materia or not, I guess not if it's unmastered darkness.

you cant and likewise cant increase fullcure stats iirc, i believe its the lowest tier on the materia list so its always over wrote, you can possible use 2 full cure materia with item fusion

for HP yes, but if you want to build other stats you can can farm darkness and use 99% but replace the last 1% with any other stat to convert to that stat 100% :)

I absolutely cannot max out genesis DMW. Stuck at 55%, have left my game idle in a mission for over 30 hours man! Do not get what the issue is everyone else is at 100%
genesis memories only happen in genesis mode, use apocalypse materia to increase the chances
Master Jump and master Graviga only makes Exploder Blade not blast wave but Master Jump and Master vital slash does make blast wave and yes I did try add item to the fusion only adds stats to it
thats because your jump is mastered. for blast wave you need mastered graviga and NONE mastered jump

You cant. Most Meteria you fuse with Darkness change into a differend one. You should use the 2nd Mission shown in this Video

I don't get it. I can't get my hp above 9999. You can't obtain the genji armour until you max out the dmw? And the other armour that let's you exceed 9999 is a mission that doesn't unlock until later in the game. So you can only get genji armour if you're willing to spend 2 to 3 hours running circles around tonberries in hopes your summon will luckily pluck a super rare armour out of his pot? Am I missing something?
you can get adamn bangles from missions as early as chapter 3

@@mako_psy the easiest Bangle and earliest you could get is from 7-3-6 and no you dont need more than 9999 HP to do it. I did most of the Missions without a HP Break. For the beginning just use Wall
is it possible to get the HP percentage from Darkness over to a Curaga materia by chance? I'm working on getting Brutal, but I'm stuck on 7-4-5, having issues dealing damage to High HP items, so I need HP to survive like 12-13k damage attacks lol.

You know this Game is 13 Years old right? Most of the Stuff you already could use back then is also possible now. Most ppl already grindet the Shit out of the original and there are plenty of guides. For FF16 it will be a complete new Game and most ppl have to figure out broken Stuff.

I'm just trying to break the damage cap. I have a costly punch +540%. I need the 99,999 damage because I am getting owned in some of the later missions.. I don't have any more phoenix downs, fat chocobo feathers, or elixirs to increase that HP. I know after I get to +990% I need to combine with a Hero Drink for the damage, but do you know any other possible way to get phoenix downs, elixirs, or fat chocobo feathers?? All of the guides suggest missions that I feel like I need the 99,999 damage for lol because all of those missions I get owned in.
costly punch damage is NOT based on your attack stat, its based on your HP. and if your in HP break status (so you have more hp than your max) costly punch damage is nerfed right down
I’m in the 3rd chapter and haven’t even heard of most of the items you suggested 😂 so no, these methods are not accessible early in the game lol

It's possible it's just going to take alot of grinding I had steal before I received it in game by Bruno and I had everything unlocked except for 6-3-4 mission which I only needed to complete 6-3-3 for. It is possible but it takes a bit.
@@TrvisXXIII you know you can technically beat the Super Boss by the Middle of Ch 3? The whole Mission String with Yuffie lead up into the 10* Engame Missions.
@@DantoriusD I’m actually on chpt 4 now, completed every mission besides the 6 star ones and I’m extremely over leveled for the main story lol mind you, I’m playing on hard mode. I wouldn’t recommend this at all to anyone - I’m basically leveling up my materia with the main story and using my high level ones on the missions
