@@EvanFarshadow unfortunately, true, as in the missions, I rarely deal with end mission bosses that *aren’t* immune to graviga, but where I’m at in the story currently, most of the enemies I’ve encountered (so far) are not. Infinite ultima, curaga, or any kinda of command materia that drains enemy HP would probably work better for the missions than infinite graviga would, as fun as infinite graviga would be.
Has gravity/demi ever worked?
@@Tripman06 yeah, a few times, and it helped me out of a few tight situations, albeit most of said situations are becoming immune to it as the missions reach higher difficulty.
I certainly found the genji shield much easier to get this time around thanks to the limit storing mechanic. You can drag out each step of pleasing that magic pot until you get an Octaslash prompt. And if it doesn't happen? Just forfeit the match from the menu and restart until the DMW cooperates

I didn’t need any genji equipment…I did all 300 missions, dominated Minerva without the slightest challenge, crumbled everything in this game.
I enjoyed the story incredibly!!! But the moves and abilities were boring I used high jump from the time I got it until I beat the game…Lame
About the Genji Glove: the mission, where you can find the chest is 9-6-4. You said 9-4-6 and I was quite confused for a time, but with a little search, I figured out what was the issue.

Was able to get the genji shield in chapter 4, had to use graviga for 99,999 and it took several tries to get octaslash but its do able.

got octaslash for genji shield in chapter 5, on my 2nd encounter with the magic pot and yeah it definitely feels like the chance of getting octaslash is higher than the original PSP version
for genji shield octaslash triggering, if u encounter magic pot and octaslash not pop, try forfeit battle and retry, may save u lots of time
In reunion the missions that have shops now have the shops as the mission reward instead of hiding in a chest
I got the Genji shield by just doing all the missions I could up to Minerva in chapter 4. So I had the Genji gloves and Genji shield at the start of chapter 4.

once the list from the op video is done you just do them all in any order you want, me personally i just did them all each chapter once that was done

Yeah I was gonna say, 7-6-6 unlocks at the end of Chapter 3. I'm about to go try and get the shield now.
Must be nice… 4 maxed octoslashes and I cannot get the DMW to give me the limit.
@@brianellis15 It wasn't nice at all. I went in without any Octoslash materia and it took me around 3 hours altogether for everything to finally come together, not to mention however much gil I wasted with Gil Toss.
@@keskes1338 the way I got the shield was, start fight with magic pots and just restarted the fight via forfeit fight if no octaslash came up by the time it got bored. Took maybe 30mins without octaslash materia.

@@madmauller2666 okay I'm on chapter 8 so I should have the mission that leads to it hopefully. I'm running through them now currently at 20% mission complete and haven't gotten any 9 missions unlocked.
@@Shadow497 yuffie missions start with 8-4-1. It branches off to category 9 after 8-5-6 which is the 'shinryu style' ambush battle with Bahamut FURY

With the DMW 100%, it’s less of a chore if you build it throughout the game if you are going out of your way to do missions. It still doesn’t change the fact it is a tedious process but building it as you go means less time to leave the game running on its own.

so can I'm having trouble getting genesis to roll on the DMW. I'm on the last chapter( i beat the game but i wanna start new game plus with genji items). even with 4 apocalypse it doesnt seem like he ever shows up.
Hey for those who are trying to platinum/100% the 🏆 achievements in one run. You can change your difficulty setting mid game, so if you don't want to play on hard the whole way tough. You can switch to hard before the last battles and the hard mode trophy well pop once you finish the game

only for specific builds, 99% of the time theres better options available
@Primalliquid92 I use magical punch a lot. Since I get maximum damage every time and don't need to worry about mana, it's perfect for me.
I used genji helm to trivialize the Minerva fight with aerial drain spam.

I got lucky with the genji shield and got the octaslash after my second try. I found when you are in the battle with the magic pot and it gets bored waiting for you to use the octaslash, before it runs away pause and forfit to restart the battle and try again.

My Phoenix down is automatic. When i start a battle i already have a feather on my head.. how do i cancel that.. sometimes i waste a phoenix down... And i dont like that. Thank you
So I got the shield from the pot guy and finished the mission. But it didn't show up on my items. I thought it was item over flow so I sold some stuff. NOPE it never showed up. I went back to the mission and but pot guy never showed up. What's going on? A Bug?

How do you get Octaslash early I don't understand.
So I didn't find the Genji gloves in M9-4-6 like you said, I'm playing Crisis Core Reunion- and I got all the chests there, but didn't find that item.

The octoslash for the shield wasn't to bad. I had all of the DMW but phoenix, and I got it on like my sixth attempt.

If u all pass gongonga without getting the shop like I did when u find the pot forfeit the fight and start over till u get octoslash
So I have the luxury of still having the original psp guide. It was such a breeze finding everything. But spawning pots is influenced by luck. So the two luck charm pieces can make luck to 255. Getting octo slash at lvl becomes so easy.

I got all of these in the psp version and is was nearly impossible to die in the last battle with the shinra soldiers…so equipped with these pieces the end is unrealistic as hell!

I got all DMW progress except for genesis. I’m using his Materia. He comes up in all slots but I never get a memory. Anyone can help?
You may need to go further in story and/or get a lucky stars to increase your DMW level to sky high or heavenly. Its mostly RNG after that if you get the memory flashes
At chapter 10 you have all memories then just load in mission 1-1-1 sit and wait took about 6 hrs for me some people said 2 days also while your doing that I recommend Cessnei materia and moggle materia and any materia you want to level up
Any way to speed it up further for the genji armor? Left it running for 8 hours for cloud with 90% DMW with 6 of his materia in chapter 10. Still 90%, just missing one memory, and I must have seen the others dozens of times. RNGesus hates me.

Bruh same exact problem for me right now. Though I have 4 cloud materia and 2 cissnei materia since getting Cissnei’s limit gives heavenly status. That’s super helpful to get a better chance for dmw images to appear. And as I was writing this comment I literally just got my last cloud image lmao imagine that. Good luck!

Can someone explain why you cannot or should not defeat the magic pot on the first encounter? I am struggling trying to follow the logic and info provided in this video about that part and why it needs to not be the first time ..
because the first time you complete the magic pot event whether it's by doing the magic he asks for or this method, it will still only reward you with the DMW summon magic pot, instead of the genji piece.
How come your health sp & mp are ALWAYS past the max limit of your health mp & ap bar?

Love the game. The battle and materia system were well thought out. Just not a fan of this RNG grinding for certain items. But I suppose that is in a majority of RPGs.

Im at the end of chapter 10 and ive finished all of the missions and Genesis final memory hasn't appeared and its stuck at 55%

its not broken its just rare, equip 6 mastered apocalypse materia and go afk in mission 1-1-1 for an hour

well thats still the best way. its RNG at the end of the day all you can do is maxamise your chances

Me, as a beginner (being in chapter 5), has one question: Is there even any challenge anymore when you have this gear? I mean, in normal combat. Isn't it extremely boring when pretty much nothing can harm you anymore? Not talking about final bosses or something. But is it even still fun when no enemy can harm you anymore?
for me yes, the fun comes from the missions and the secret boss. the story fights in these games are always secondary to me personally (and its an older game so) just play the way you like :)

Thats the basic magic pot from the category 10 missions. You need the magic pot from 7-6-6 to get the genji shield drop (don't make this the 1st magic pot you satisfy or you instead get the magic pot limit break instead)
I can't get Aerith affection 100 % although i left it for hours but only 90 % any tips of what is missing
the memories are random just means you got unlucky sorry, just have to sit afk in mission 1-1-1 for ages and wait for the cutscenes when her symbols pop up ( you also have to be atleast in chapter 9)
How the god damn HELL are people this lucky on the Genesis Armour?! I've been stuck on Cissnei and Genesis' memories for the last 6 hours and I only need to see 2 memories! I finally got Cissnei's an hour ago.
I've never been so angry at RNG and I've played PoE.
use 6 Mastered materia for them and sit in 1-1-1 took me a full day but i had to complete sephi, cloud, aerith, cisnei, genesis and tseng (aka everybody bar angeal)
I just sat in the 1-1-1 mission with just the Cessnei materia took a few hours just took out the Shinra troops till there was only 1 left. Only getting hit for about 1 hp per hit so maybe 8-9 total damage also you can tape R1 down to be in guard and probably get hit for 0
You mention not being able to get the shield til chapter 5, but I got it in chapter 4 after following your other guides. Maybe they changed that.

I’m probably the only moron on here that forgot to pick up the Gongaga chest that had the shop for the octoslash material. I’ll put your mind at ease: I STILL got the genji shield in three attempts. I even redid the battle and got it after 2 attempts. Way easier in this version.

Helm is just the least useful overall of the genji gear. You don't exactly need libra unless you want to see exact hp on your targets and in endgame most people tend to run materia that don't use much, if any, MP or AP to attack (costly punch, gil toss, darkness, etc)
Pretty much done with all missions at the start of Chapter 4. All that's up now is Minverva but I'm saving that fight for the endgame.
Time to actually play the game now and one shot all the chapters with Costly Punch and the Genji gear xD

I got the shield 5 hours trying. i had to walk away, but I was able to get it when i was about to give up. I was heated.
I don't understand why i cannot do 99,999 dmg to the magic pot, I have ATK maxed out and Costly Punch maxed out... still I got only to 50k dmg
Same thing happened to me, but I equipped the item that lets me do critical hits. Then for good measure, I also maxed my Attack at 255 (Atk++ and items). Got the shield after that.
Buster sword should be at 25%
Costly Puch depends on your max HP. If your max HP is 99,999 (using two 999% materia, as long as your level is high enough), then you can deal 99,999 damage with Costly Punch.
First Magic Pot i fought (not counting getting the DMW summon) during Chapter 5 i got the Octaslash to get the Genji Shield. Used Gil Toss, used Costly Punch, Lucky Stars decided to pop up so I used that to get the DMW level to Heavenly which doesn't fail the objective thankfully which led to me doing the rest smoothly. Either i got real lucky or they secretly tweaked the rate for that specific enemy.

break your hp limit and get 99,999 hp and costly punch will always do max damage

This willll not give me the one for sephiroth who is at 75% and aerith who is at 90% I even tried being afk for hours and hours to no avail.

its RNG im afraid, i had to do cloud, Seph, aerith and tseng and it took a full day sitting in 1-1-1 to get them all. you can use the materia to increase your chances but its still going to take time to get the memories
@Primalliquid Thank you. I let it run for about 15 hours. It's crazy. It's all I have left. I'm trying again now with 4 octaslash equipped. It's insane that I probably need one memory per character and it just won't give it to me.
@@realrickt.v3515 I would suggest equipping cisnney's materia. You will have more chances to get a memory when your ocn is astral.
How many cissnei materia would you suggest? Like 2 cissnei and 4 octaslash or?

Genji Armor is the most infurriating thing to get with all the DMW rolls. The Genji Shield took me almost 2-3 hours to get which wasn't too bad. This is taking me 24+ hours to wait for all the cutscenes...
Of course as soon as I come here to complain - I get the Cloud roll... good luck everyone!

Yeah all that seems hard when im like level 48 or some shit. defeatin mission lvl 6, 7 already hard enough
level is NOT important in this game, materia and accessorys are where you get all your power, never mind 6 star missions, even 10 star missions are a breeze at level 6 with the proper set up

I don't know If I want to get theses again. I remember grinding for these items back in the day on the initial PSP release and it sucked. I think I am just going to play the game without much side quests and leveling up.
I didn't play the original game but this wasn't that hard to do and quite fun. Go for it.
To be honest the only annoying one to get is the shield from mágic pot cuz of the DMW is RNG
@@albert93231 i found it easier than the original. Get a lucky stars limit to get to heavenly DMW status. Get the magic pot to appear and just slowly work through the requests (wait until like the 3rd time it says to use a specific command to do it) and see if at any point the DMW will give you your octaslash prompt (storing limit breaks for later use in a fight makes this much better) and if by the 3rd time the pot says 'use octaslash' you don't have it? Just use the pause screen to forfeit and restart the fight. no more needing to hunt more than 1 pot down if the DMW is mean

Thanks bro, I got the brutal I’m trying too get the Genji shield but I can’t deal 99,999 damage on magic pod, that’s the only thing I need, I even equipped 2 brutal too see if I can do more damage but I can only deal like 25,000 damage I’m level 51 just got the buster sword bc I thought the stance would help deal more damage but no😔
@@Gllerm_ you only need one brutal bro, and look into getting costly punch. Its very overpowered and it hits 99999 easily
Figured that one the hard way, and I have it, costly punch it’s for some reason enemy’s are way too strong on missions 9-6 and 7-6-6 I hit magic pod and hit for 26k
