For M4-5-6 I found some tips online and decided to go with: Quake (VERY important) Status Ward (also extremely important) Hell Firaga (must have) Darkness (optional, tbh) For gear I used Wizard Bracelet and Blaze Armlet for stacked MP increase and more fire HP absorption. You could remove Blaze Armlet for something else if you prefer, but both did great work for me. For ME, Quake was an excellent way to attack everyone in the cluster (hope they begin close together) and stun lock them as the attack is super quick and affects a decently large area. They’re stunned for about a second or so, giving time to use an ether and replinish MP so you don't run out. Status Ward + Hell Firaga meant that if I got hit with Firaga I HEALED without having to worry about healing myself and lose precious time attacking and using ethers. Just know that energy and the melee attacks are instant kills with this loadout. I found that dodging didn't help me much because I could lose sight of the enemy (you could target lock, but other enemies could be in other areas ready to shoot you with Death Missile or Energy, or run up and beat you to death. My BEST advice is to practice IMMEDIATELY hitting the whole group with Quake to stun lock once or twice, then use an ether quickly as possible and keep using Quake until they all fall. You should also soon do a quicker alternate of Quake, Ether, Quake, Ether soon in order to slowly max out Ether and use Quake maybe a few more times before replenishing with another Ether. Keep it up until they all fall. Stay close to them. Don't let them attack, don't let up. There’s a chance a lone enemy might start out further away, or move far enough away from the group, and they can kill you in a number of ways. Hell Firaga, imo, did not do enough damage as an attack on them. I mostly needed it for healing alongside Status Ward. Goes without saying, but exploit DMW as SOON as it pops up, no matter what it is or what level. Every bit helps. Even if using it right away, Wall often takes too long to activate and they’ve already killed you by the time it’s on. Stun and attack until they're finished.
I watched Maxx's playthrough... It was nuts in his final episode he went from struggling with some 9* missions to pretty much being invincible in a matter of like 45 minutes with some items he got... Watching someone become a godby chapter 4 is going to be awesome...
Tips for people like me who suck at video games: * When you start really struggling with the missions, you can move on into chapter 3 just until you get the SOLDIER first class armor with the extra two materia. It won't wreck the general progression. * For most stages, you can run diagonally into the walls to avoid triggering random battles. You can use this to run straight to the boss fight and not use any resources (like your free phoenix down!) in the process. This won't avoid bridge battles, unfortunately. * If you're REALLY struggling, you can load up on MP/AP in 1-1-1 by hanging out until you trigger limit breaks. This will at most double your MP/AP pools.
I followed this guide to an extent, up until where you needed to fuse darkness materia with SP Master. To those who're watching this, you get SP Master as a steal from the Abyss Worm in missions 9-6-1 and 9-6-3 and its a rare steal. So if you're going for that materia, make sure you have the Steal (or Mug) Materia equipped alongside the Mog Amulet to steal them from the worm. When I went up against Minerva, I had both Genji Helm and Gloves, Ziedrich and Adaman Bangle. As for materia, I had mastered High Jump and Magic Punch for damaging her, mastered Steal to steal 99 Phoenix Downs from her. Wall with 999% HP, Darkness with 999% HP and another Darkness with 100% Vit. With my level at 81 (farming demons for darkness materia), my Vit was at 255 with the equipped darkness, so her flash slash and photon feathers attacks didn't one shot me; but her other attacks like krysta or thor's hammer still one shot; but a well timed dodge roll or a well time high jump pretty much nulled those out. Same with Ultima, dodging that became easy after dealing with enemies that spammed the hell out of it in other missions. Magic Punch was my heavy hitter attack and was only used when an opening presented itself (or when the DMW rolled 111 for invincibility or anything that nulled damage). Overall it took me a few tries but I was able to beat her and get the Divine Slayer.
Just wanted to say thanks for this guide. I just beat Minerva today. Took about roughly 7-10 mins. Followed everything to the letter but the sp farm. I had about 3 million when I fought her,and 6 mil in gil. End of fight I had no sp and 1 mil gil. Worth the grind.
I literally started the game and I was getting clapped. I followed all your mission guide, suggestions and farming. I breeze through the storyline with no issues.
Man, MASSIVE video like always. Done Minerva yesterday whit similar stuff, on chapter 3 too, costly punch for damage, no SP materia, and gill toss only for break her limit, and after an 1 Hour and 50 of combat finally beated her.
I maxed out my SP and spammed High Jump with SP Masters equipped in my fight with HM Minerva in Chapter 3. Costly Punch didn't seem worth it compared to the original, but maybe it would have saved me some hours grinding.
Just unlocked the Wutai Shop, but now it feels like all the next missions are way too difficult to complete at this level. Hell Blizzaga is nice and all, but the MP cost is huge and I don't want to burn all my ethers and elixirs trying to take down one Vajradhara
So someone said this in a comment on another vid but the easiest was to do the magic pot farm is the first battle after acquiring magic pot. You are guaranteed to get the summon. If it's not the x5 rolling pins just hit forfeit and retry the battle. You can do at least 10 retries in 15-20 min.
Hehehe I just defeated Minerva in chapter 3 following your guide to a tee. Except capping SP, I thought I'd throw wall up and make a go of it first before attempting that SP grind. Lost 6M gil out of the 15M I took into the fight. Fair trade for Divine Slayer I think. Just want to say a big thank you dude for showing me the way, keep making awesome content 😁
Been grinding the pots since 10 AM. It's 6 PM right now and I've gotten Shinra Beta+ x1, Royal Crown x1, Gold Rolling Pin x1, a few iron and titanium bangles, and 1 carbon bangle. After another hour and a half, I got the kaiser knuckles. I guess I'll be killing enemies for gil then.
Similar only I'm about 5 hours in now and I have shinra beta+, royal crown, keiser knuckles... and that is it. 0 rolling pins. Also, farming tonberry doesn't seem like it will work because every fight or two karma's damage goes up by 1.
There is another way to get SP faster than steal for sp master, killing Three Stars in 9-5-3, each kill get 20k SP easy! Also, there a bonus, kill all devil and man hunter before three stars in each fight and you get 100k SP even with one Three Stars in the fight (if you get no damage) by spam Eletrocute and graviga with duelcast.
Following this then tweeking it to my play style and and after maxing stats on my faverout materia i have just beat minerva after 46hrs of grinding. For minerva i used aerial drain as main attack and throwing a costly punch when timing between attacks as it is quicker than gil toss to get the attack in and dodge the next attack. I managed to complete without using the SP master just going through 40 phoenix downs.
There's an area to the left of the Tonberry here where you can get them stuck as well, but they can skill Karma you... but if you're playing a patched out version, I think that's a very good alternative, unfortunately it can still Karma you.
Tl;DR- Thanks for the guide I'm seeing this late as I'm quite further along and in chapter 3 just got SOLDIER 1st class and have %21 missions done. Can't wait to see what I still can apply from this video though. Hate I found this channel so late in game play, I'm a little into Chapter 3 figured out the master materia trick using M1-1 though. Played around with some fusions and grinder the missions old fashioned way painfully. I don't have a couple Mission series' open like M2 nor have even fought or paid attention to any tonberry and haven't even seen a Magic Pot in Game. And I think I'm at %25 mission completion. I'm a glass cannon getting one shot most of the mission I made it to like in M9 but I have all my capped materia and have strong spells usually nailing enemies with 9999 per hit. No buffs my HP is like 2.9k, I little get sneezed on I am done lol. Funny my fights get good SP because I take no dmg but it's after a fee tries on some bosses. 9999 not cutting it when you dodging 4 boss enemies shooting energy, death missile, firaga at once lmao. I can't wait to try this guide though maybe I can apply alot even though I quite a bit further along and already pass being able to use magic pot trick smh. I have wizard's item to absorb fire lightning ice spells and the moogle one. Have high level spells like Graviaga, Hell spells, magical punch....i didn't know how to.get Costly punch till this video outside of grinding along mission/story. But thanks for the help.
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
CC is just one of those games thats kinda like atelier with synthesis/materia fusion, once you know how that works then breaking the game is pretty easy
4:10 IMO, you should use the guaranteed magic pot to get either the 5x rolling pins or even just the 3x pins, I find the pins are way rarer than shinra beta+. I feel like it's way faster that way. Side note, you really want to remember to get your free auto life for this part since if you die, you lose everything you've rolled, found that out the hard way, the kitchen knife move from tonberry can crit for 1100+ lmao.
So on mission 4-5-6 where you said to pray, that mission was annoying so I experimented with the materia to see what would work best. I ended up using a maxed quake and spammed it on them till they died. It kept throwing them off balance and they couldn’t make a single move.
The difference in power between someone who uses materia fusion tricks and someone who doesn't is ASTONISHING. Base Zack can't survive a 4 star without getting lucky.
Everyone probably knows by now, but a quicker way of getting your SPR/VIT etc up, if you steal MAG Up++ from those same demons, and do some 1-1-1 grinding to master those MAG ups you can fuse those mastered mag up++ into your Darkness Materia with Vit/SPR etc and gain 9 each time. Is it quicker? Probably not, but it's another option. I will start a grinding session and go do house chores while its AFK grindin away
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
FYI, you don't need to farm magic pot for 4 rolling pins. In the section 4 missions to unlock sec. 7 shop, you get 3 rolling pins from chests. As such, unless I'm missing something, one, maybe two rolling pins from magic pot should be all you need.
i said "seems to be ps5 exclusive" not that it absolutely was. I was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
its almost like this game was MADE to be broken due to how missions work and i LOVE it, also, love ya videos dude, i have used SOME (not all cos im not fully insane yet) of your methods in several games, mainly FF12.
You can actually trap the tonberry on Xbox Series X. I don't know if this works on the series S, One X, or One S, but it absolutely does work on the series X.
If you happen to be plating this now since it released for free on ps5 it's good to know that you can run on the sides and avoid the enemies spawning until you get to boaaea and it's easier to just loot the chest
You can SP farm much quicker on 9-5-2 and 9-5-3 when fighting the three star monster. 20k SP that that doubles for each monster you kill without getting hit so up to 100k per quick fight
with only 2 accessory slots i much prefer the SP master farm, dont need to care about being hit which means you can just pay little attention and farm while watching something on another monitor and with 4 worms a fight you can still earn 92-95k SP a fight, might be a fraction slower but for 99% less concentration required, ill take it
With a few SP Masters equipped, you can kill every enemy that accompanies the Three Stars with a single High Jump. It only takes a few seconds to end each encounter. 9-5-3 is much, much faster for SP farming. Plus, you can sell the Mythril Armlets for a solid amount of Gil. It's a much better method.
Am I the only one who has mixed feelings about Blast Wave? It seems only useful in some very specific situations against enemies that just die in one hit anyway. Anything bigger/stronger just ignored it and frequently left me without a good attacking move against them if they had immunity against my other skills as well, which some enemies did.
15:07 hi, you have M6 mission 30/30 completed, I’m stuck at 12/12 do you know how can I unlock the remaining? The only missions left for me, are the ones in M9 section..
I was waiting for someone to make a challenge run like this. In all honesty, you could say I made this challenge in its most primitive form. I got this game when I was seven back when it first released, and… Lol, I didn’t figure out how to progress the story until I was level 35. So while I didn’t get far with it, I kinda did do this challenge by complete accident.
just following this guide... how do you jump to 4K HP? I'm getting one-shotted by every enemy in every mission. And why do you suggest Gravity and Poison, when every mission boss is immune to it?
Yeah I though my way was abit more of a grind for beating menerva just guard with 100% buster sword proficiency while using high jump constantly with 3 sp masters with spr vit and str at 255 and when I did it I beat menerva again so I could steal 81 phoenix downs and start on hard mode and collect the other little trophies I need think including the platinum I'm down to 5-6 left for 100% completion and never really attempted a super boss in any ff game b4 but I never really found a usefull strategy to my type of play style but with the help of the videos I managed to smash through all the missions and I'm on chapter 4 on hard now I'm constantly using electrocute dualcast high jump costly punch with a full cure and a maxed out hp at 999%
Had to admit, my luck was shit with the Pot Monster... done it for a few hours and I wasn't able to get the extrea items, other than Shinra Beta +, I was only able to find three golden pins the rest was odd items for the rare were pots that appeared in those hours.
The gold rolling pin grind works on series X, and the quick resume works great for this too. Ok final got everything. Took 23 hours, but got a lot of stuff 55 elixirs 9 Phoenix downs 9 kaiser knuckles 1 Shinra beta + 1 Graviga And 29 gold rolling pins
So this is probably a stupid question but with the Magic Pot can you use Graviga or do it Have to be Gravity? Similarly the same question but with Assault Twister+ to Assault Twister?
Primal still love your vids dude, the time and dedication you put into every one of them is insane. The Tonberry is not a PS5 exclusive luckily for me as it works on my XBOX Series X. Poor guy is super glued to the floor. Just out of curiosity though, how long did it take you to get your 5 rolling pins? So far 3 hours in, I have 1 pin.
Dude, on the OG PSP version, I was so determined to do these optional missions that I was powering through difficult missions, until I was over powered and had the HP limit broken lol Cavern of Wonders missions are good for getting loot especially since in the PSP version you can just get all the chests and exit the mission with the loot, unlike Reunion where you need to actually complete the mission to get everything you obtained.
Dang i just beat it in hard mode i wanted to have the best stats i could .found your video and ill i can say is i respect your grind but ill just gonna go work out xD
Do you guys have any tips for Mission 4-1-6? Im doing an LLG run and since Gravity materia is HEAVILY nerfed compared to the original, I dont have any workaround for this mission. Thanks!
I can consistently trap tonberry on xbox series s, in several spots of that fight area. The spot primal shows, the middle of the same side, and the opposite end of the same side. He gets stuck all over that wall.
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
@Primalliquid yeah your last magic pot farm video the comments were nuts about whether you could or couldn't do this still. Square knows about these things and they don't care, they never patch these old school fun methods of becoming op. Just look at ff8 😆
Yes! Got shinra beta +, only took a dozen or two forfeits... and next few spins are lvl 3 so I now have the other two main rewards from that.... and I'm 3 hours in and not a single summon after the first 3 or 4. FML. Also, I don't think farming Tonberry B is an option. Karma seems to go up by 1 almost every fight.
Hi Primalliquid! I've been a subscriber ever since I got my copy of Crisis Core. You've helped me get over a few tough spots, so I wanted to thank you. You're doing a great job, and I can't even begin to imagine the amount of hours you have to put into this! I have a question about Break Limits. I'm using Moogle to get my darkness martia to level 5 to trade for SP. I thought I was getting the Moogle again. The weird thing is, right before it kicked in to the 3 Moogles, the center flipped to Cactaur, and the game gave me a "DUD" Break Limit. It happened so quick, but it looked like the Moogle and Cactaur kinda danced around Zack for a second, then a white pot fell from above and conked him on the head. I don't think there was any special reward for it. It was just unexpected, and from all the hint and tip videos, I've never seen anyone mention it before. Have you or any of you subscribers ever seen it? It might help to mention that I've got the digital version for the PS5. Thanks 😁👍
Until when should I do magic pot farming? Is there any specific item that we need to get or gil that we need to reach in order to spend on shops? Thanks !
Yep, it's very easy. You just hang out in the corner and wait for it to approach with the knife stab then roll past him and run towards the other end while hugging the wall. Super easy to do first try.
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
Quick question on the magic pot farm. You mention restarting if not getting the beta +, but also show doing that with the gold pin. Do I stop forfeiting the battle once I get that beta + to start and let the battle run while keeping count of gold pins I collect? Also, how do you activate the magic pot once the dmw hits it?
@mdubbs09 you don't forfeit after each hit. Only if the first hit wasn't the beta +. Hr has a separate video about the magic pot farm that does a better job of explaining it. L3 + r3 to activate it when it does occur. The video for how it works multiple times is in the Playlist. Also, I switched over to his platinum run video to follow step by step. Watching it in 2x speed.
Im on hohr 3 of lotting the slots roll, and only getting bahamut/ifrit/tonberry (yeah i fd up and finisbed the mission once). Haven't had the pot pop up once for DMW rolls (it is unlocked tho).
If this was cannon, Zack woulda beaten Minerva, THE GODDESS OF THE LIFESTREAM, at the age of 16 "Sephiroth is the greatest hero" Zack: Hold my soda, I'm boutta show these folks what a REAL SOLDIER LOOKS LIKE
Average players don’t need to farm lots of things can finish missions until 9-6-5. Average players don’t have a chance to win against Minerva if they have only two slots of accessory (Or else if they are willing to farm and sacrifice their SP, using SP master and costly punch might beat it in ch. 3. I beat Minearva in ch 4 right after getting 4 accessories slot. But the hard mode is still so much that I need to wait until ch.6 when Buster sword is the key to win. I believe the hard core gamer can win Minerva hard mode in ch.3.
I've been following this guide, and I'm at the stage where I'm about to start farming Darkness for the first time. I'm unable to get High Jump because I don't have Tri-Fire, and after some searching, you can only obtain it in missions you don't have access to at the point you require. Unless you fuse a mastered Tri-Thundaga with Libra. So for anyone else who was confused, there you go. (M)Tri-Thundaga + Libra = Tri-Fire so you can get High Jump.
Thanks, friend! I understand these vids take ages for him to make, but in each of them I've watched for this, he's slipped up or totally omitted key details at least once or twice in every video. Thankfully, he gets us all far enough along through his own work, that the comments have come in with the clutch rescue each time. Thanks again! Ctrl+F is your friend people lmao
Nice video Just wondering what you actually do with the mag +100 do you status ward them like you say or keep them darkness+100 like the video shows? Other then that everything is clear Oh and you don’t mention how to get tri-fire but that’s easy to google
did he not do the rematch against ifrit? when im doing the grinding against the tonberry i get ifrit to show up but for him it doesn’t seem so but i thought he said to do that mission
If I pull rolling pins when magic pot DMW first pops, do I have to restart or can I continue battle trapping Tonberry and hope the gear comes up later?
I got so caught up in the missions that I'm about 15 hours in and 40% done with missions before finishing chapter 3 :D I just started experimenting more with fusion. This strategy is right up my alley I reckon I can break th game in about 3 to 4 hours , which I will do :D .
About the same for me, if you play well you can go through m8 and m9 (with some rng on m9 mobs casting ultima, but you catch up in stats/damage real quick). Picking up the +40 mag was the changer for me, fused that as well as other materias to hit a pretty high mag stat and then double cast + quake. A lot easier to get overpowered in crisis core because it was designed as such
Once you started the 4-2 missions I was like how the hell do you have so much health and saw you’re level 28. I’m on that part in the vid and I’m only level 17 where did you level up at?
He mostly is showing later footage, so he already has quite a bit. For the rest he probably got lucky with the rng with Hyp%+. Either way this is not optimal. optimal is fusing some materia to be stronger, getting a -Ga spell will carry you through the point you need to be. Which is chapter 5 where you can get the mission to allow you to fuse items with materia. This way you do not need to collect 1+ mil darkness's.
For M4-5-6 I found some tips online and decided to go with:

yea if you use item fusion you can go from zero to hero REAL fast
for me that moment was getting the Ziedrich, 100 on ATK, VIT, MAG and SPR? so powerful man.
@@TheAuron32 yeah seriously
Tips for people like me who suck at video games:

I wanna thank you so much for your tutorials, just platinumed Crisis Core this morning!!
6:12 You can trap it on PC built its hard, even trying is worth it as if your close it will still take it potentially 20-30 minutes to get to you,
I literally started the game and I was getting clapped. I followed all your mission guide, suggestions and farming. I breeze through the storyline with no issues.
glad to hear i could help :)
Man, MASSIVE video like always.

yea costly punch takes ages to do hard mode minerva, gil toss really speeds it up, think my fight was like 15 minutes or so
I maxed out my SP and spammed High Jump with SP Masters equipped in my fight with HM Minerva in Chapter 3.

Eh…may as well go for this while I wait for Rebirth. Nice video, man. Your commitment to the grind is commendable.
You can get the tonberry stuck on the wall on PC. Just gotta do it the other way around. Plus it's out of range to hit you with karma.

i know, i mention that int he video lol, but its much better to get the beta+ by force instead of the rolling pins as gil can be gotten another way
@Primalliquid got you I ended up with both of them with a little grinding seems like the Shinra Plus is alot easier to get.
Hehehe I just defeated Minerva in chapter 3 following your guide to a tee. Except capping SP, I thought I'd throw wall up and make a go of it first before attempting that SP grind. Man, when you said dont get hit for the bosses that is like the main thing when doing this grind lol always love this content man. Thanks again!
It took me 6 hours to get everything from magic pot. I used that time to finish tears of the kingdom; 10/10 game, highly recommend
My friend just finished this with a challenge of run of basically not use materia so I find it crazy how if he decided to how op he would be...
Freaking Awesome work man. Can't wait to get this on PS4 (gutting the magic pot trick won't work though)
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
That was quite the fun videos, even though I still not sure I understand how CC works. Kinda insane how OP you can get though.
@@Zenriesz hahahaha... I got like 16 golden rolling pins with no Shinra beta+.... it's been days since starting the grind.
So on mission 4-5-6 where you said to pray, that mission was annoying so I experimented with the materia to see what would work best. I ended up using a maxed quake and spammed it on them till they died. It kept throwing them off balance and they couldn’t make a single move.
The tonberry getting stuck is not a ps5 only thing. Did this on the xbox series x as well works just fine.
The difference in power between someone who uses materia fusion tricks and someone who doesn't is ASTONISHING. Base Zack can't survive a 4 star without getting lucky.
Subscribed! I LOVE these kind of guides haha
Thank you for guides and I will be subscribing.
For what it's worth, you can still trap the Tonberry on the Steam version. I did it the same exact way as the PS5 method.
Same, I was able to do it on PC (Steam)
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
I'm playing on switch. Spent hours running them up and down that wall and pushing them around but they just wouldn't get caught.
FYI, you don't need to farm magic pot for 4 rolling pins. In the section 4 missions to unlock sec. 7 shop, you get 3 rolling pins from chests.
As such, unless I'm missing something, one, maybe two rolling pins from magic pot should be all you need.
I started to farm the missions and got over 50% of them done made goblin punch all before leaving Aerith’s church the first time
well done bro, this guide is very detailed and easy to understand, appreciate it 😄😄😄
No problem 👍
@@Primalliquid92 Can you get any item in the game through the magic pot? Like all of the genji items for example?
5:54 - I'm on PC, and I was able to get the tonberry stuck on the rock, which you said was PS5 Exclusive.
i said "seems to be ps5 exclusive" not that it absolutely was. I was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
wow thats a lot of great work and dedication, what is sad is that the end will still be the same as we all know it
its almost like this game was MADE to be broken due to how missions work and i LOVE it, also, love ya videos dude, i have used SOME (not all cos im not fully insane yet) of your methods in several games, mainly FF12.
You can actually trap the tonberry on Xbox Series X. I don't know if this works on the series S, One X, or One S, but it absolutely does work on the series X.
Thanks i play on Series X and also have it installed on One X
You can trap it on pc stream steam
Have tried on a One S and One X. Have yet to manage a trap on them.
@@jamesmarcel8330 Maybe the 30fps causes it to behave different slightly or some slight alternate solution is needed.
@@destroyermcw626 idk, I don't speak programming or coding. Was providing info based on the original comment.
So while I didn’t get far with it, I kinda did do this challenge by complete accident.
i knew you were going to do it, wanna see how different your grind was to mine, it took me about 70 hours to kill minerva
just following this guide... how do you jump to 4K HP?
Took 23 hours, but got a lot of stuff
55 elixirs
9 Phoenix downs
9 kaiser knuckles
1 Shinra beta +
1 Graviga
And 29 gold rolling pins
So this is probably a stupid question but with the Magic Pot can you use Graviga or do it Have to be Gravity? Similarly the same question but with Assault Twister+ to Assault Twister?
Primal still love your vids dude, the time and dedication you put into every one of them is insane. The Tonberry is not a PS5 exclusive luckily for me as it works on my XBOX Series X. Poor guy is super glued to the floor. Just out of curiosity though, how long did it take you to get your 5 rolling pins? So far 3 hours in, I have 1 pin.
You sir, are the best final fantasy player ever.
Dude, on the OG PSP version, I was so determined to do these optional missions that I was powering through difficult missions, until I was over powered and had the HP limit broken lol
Cavern of Wonders missions are good for getting loot especially since in the PSP version you can just get all the chests and exit the mission with the loot, unlike Reunion where you need to actually complete the mission to get everything you obtained.
I was able to get the tonberry stuck on Xbox Series X , not sure how it is exclusive to ps5….
So many views. You deserve a ton more likes
That simply Primal for you XDD, awesome video man.
Thanks! 😄
I was able to do the magic pot farm on my XBOX series S as well…
i was just going with information from previous comments, from everything i saw people were only managing it on PS5 and we were having massive disscusions on what it was possible on, but going from this video im guessing its only switch which cant trap them.
@Primalliquid yeah your last magic pot farm video the comments were nuts about whether you could or couldn't do this still. Square knows about these things and they don't care, they never patch these old school fun methods of becoming op. Just look at ff8 😆
@@Primalliquid92I commented on a previous video of yours regarding a spot where it’s possible to consistently trap Tonberry on Switch.
Trapping the tonberry works on PC as well.
I got a shrina beta plus but after trapping tonberry im having trouble getting pot again for rolling pins. its been an hour of spinning.
The tonberry does get stuck same spot xbox. Not a ps5 only glitch.
Good to know
Hey, just an fyi trapping the Tonberry is not a PS5 exclusive, I managed to do it easily on the Steam version, thanks to your previous videos! :)
Out of curiosity is there a quicker way to up my chance of getting shinra beta plus or is it just praying to the rng gods?
Thanks 😁👍
This happened to me and I was laughing 😂 the game explained that sometimes a DUD can happen 👌🏻🫶🏻
finally got my I'm not drunk I'm straight glass thanks man the merch is high quality 👌
:) enjoy it man! they're are for sure top quality!
Got the Tonberry stuck on xbox series s so maybe it's next gen console only?
Nice video man 🎉
thank you! glad you enjoyed it
Until when should I do magic pot farming? Is there any specific item that we need to get or gil that we need to reach in order to spend on shops? Thanks !
You can trap the tonberry in the PC version too
Yep, it's very easy.
I might follow this guide. Even at level 50, it seems like every enemy has the ability to "one shot" me. Its getting annoying.
Level doesn't really mean much in this game it all comes down to stats from materia and accessories
Also confused about the same thing. I checked through the comments. Doesn’t seem like it’s been answered there either.
@@damcrac so I just one of his videos from the playlist and he says most of the stuff has been fixed. Have you tried it yet?
@mdubbs09 magic pot farmed worked for me. Only thing I've seen that was changed is you have to finish the missions to get them to count.
Im on hohr 3 of lotting the slots roll, and only getting bahamut/ifrit/tonberry (yeah i fd up and finisbed the mission once). Haven't had the pot pop up once for DMW rolls (it is unlocked tho).
If this was cannon, Zack woulda beaten Minerva, THE GODDESS OF THE LIFESTREAM, at the age of 16
"Sephiroth is the greatest hero"
Zack: Hold my soda, I'm boutta show these folks what a REAL SOLDIER LOOKS LIKE
By the end of this I seen enough darkness materia for a whole life time.
Talk about RnG I'm still waiting for shinra beta+ I'm getting everything but bet+ upside I got 25 rolling pins
Boy u cray. Hahaha. Solid video, tho! Will try out some of your strays!
*strats 😂
this videos will be a legacy treasures for rpg games.
haha hopefully!
I believe the hard core gamer can win Minerva hard mode in ch.3.
u r the best ff guy!
:)
Ctrl+F is your friend people lmao
for anyone watching this much later (like me), i was experimenting and apparently (M)Tri-Thundaga + (M)Jump = High Jump directly.
Babe wake up
Primalliquid --wasted hundreds of hours for our amusement-- uploaded again!
xD
Nice video
Just wondering what you actually do with the mag +100 do you status ward them like you say or keep them darkness+100 like the video shows?
Other then that everything is clear
Oh and you don’t mention how to get tri-fire but that’s easy to google
did he not do the rematch against ifrit? when im doing the grinding against the tonberry i get ifrit to show up but for him it doesn’t seem so but i thought he said to do that mission
If I pull rolling pins when magic pot DMW first pops, do I have to restart or can I continue battle trapping Tonberry and hope the gear comes up later?
Any answers on this?
Omg just the video I wanted to see
:)
…It won’t even let me inspect any of the lockers. Zack just starts sliding like he’s on ice whenever I try to inspect the lockers.
I got so caught up in the missions that I'm about 15 hours in and 40% done with missions before finishing chapter 3 :D I just started experimenting more with fusion. This strategy is right up my alley I reckon I can break th game in about 3 to 4 hours , which I will do :D .
Do you have to do the magic pot rng in the battle right after the magic pot battle or you kill the last tomberry after each roll
ideally just keep the same tonberry where its trapped
Trapping the Tonberry works on Steam too.
Got 5 pins in one shot. Now just trying to get some other items.
Must use Vit Up materia? What about Vit+ or Vit++ materia, will it works?
I did not restart the fight after the first magic pot summon, and kept trying to get it... 8h into it and no Shinra Beta... do I really need it?
take a shot for every ''darkness'', we see us in the afterlife
I’ve been following your guide but I’m still behind on levels
Glad to rewatch Primals walkthrough
:)
I didnt get shinra beta plus, can i still beat minerva in chapter 4?
