Depends which version of 3, but if Famicom/NES, you can easily become invincible after the first dungeon. Depending on your luck, you might even glitch out Luneth to hit level 99 as well. I've done it a couple times, and the only lengthy part is getting the best swords.
Final Fantasy XII is so underrated. You just have to remember to start playing as Balthier as soon as your able and treat him as the main character (cause he really is, along with Ashe). Vaan is really just a more boring Tidus insert with ridiculous abs.
Balthier was literally designed as the main character, and they only put in Vaan later out of fear that the FF core audience wouldn't relate to a main character who isn't an angsty teenager

so i play final fantasy games ALOT (like seriously) and to keep things fun i start trying out different things and that gives birth to stratagys like this and my other overpowered videos where it just completely destroys the games balance in a way the devs would never have thought possible.
Awesome video, the ton of behind the scens work is much appreciated ! I'd love to know the logic behind these insane glitches and how they were found out ! Seriously, what the fuck ?! FIND AN INVISIBLE CHEST WHOSE CONTENT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY TIMES A RANDOM NPC WALKED UP THE STAIRS ??!!!
So what was the point in setting Fran as an archer and Balthier as a time mage? Video said it would be important later but you never followed up on that
I remember the rng setting with the healing in the earlier save, but I just went ahead and opened the chest and got the bow immediately for 6 times in a row. I vaguely remember that some systems/versions have different rng table or something to that effect.
I love the Final Fantasy franchise and im enjoying all these videos. Given the fact that ive ALWAYS played as a "level grinding player" YOUR VIDEOS ARE awesome! Thank you very much for all the time and effort you've put into making them
I am thrilled you take the time to do the ridiculous and share these wonderful event with us final fantasy guys and gals. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to your next "overpowered series "
I took this game for granted big time. Theres no game similar to this any more. I loved the combat system but I wished they buffed techniques. Make it more useful rather than just using it to steal lmao.
Bruh, Gil Toss is REALLY good if you grind Gil using Cat-Ear Hoods: It's a neutral 10,000 damage that works on almost everything, even the Magick Pots in the Pharos. It's super useful in Zodiac Age, where you can speed up the game for grinding.
The Xenoblade series in particular is a lot like FF12 in terms of gameplay. Big, sprawling areas to explore with bosses strewn about. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is the fan-favorite game (is also getting a remaster this year for the Switch), and XBC2 came out more recently. It's less-liked, but still a very good game with the exploration, quests, and story/music. Finally, Xenoblade Chronicles X came out like 5 years ago, and features really great exploration, mecha suits to pilot, and giant enemies. Also a horrid soundtrack and poor story, but hey. Sometimes you just want gameplay like FF12.
There is mods that rebalance the game and change techniques so they are useful. Like make travaler being a skill that grants you haste, float and invisible all at once. Pretty good
ah yes, there was one spot in the game if you set up your gambits correctly, the game power levels itself. just like in FF6, theres a place you can set up the game to play itself with a turbo controller and have max level characters (even the characters you havent met yet) for the rest of the play through, except Locke. Then there is FF2 but requires some player input where you can game the system and get uber powerful characters from the outset, even having One Punch Maria, who can literally kill bosses in one round by herself.
Good job, dude! I would never do that. But I appreciated the effort. Usually I farm Bone Fragment and Iron Helm in Lhusu to make money and exp. And it's boring as hell but at least I make 200 k in less time.
7 minutes in, he says the words I was dreading (Dustia Farming), yeah, that is why I always do my grinding in the mines with the Undead (I am assuming that is Lhusu). Still, I am impressed by anyone who can actually get Dustia farming to work, I have tried many times, but never got it to work.
I got it to work before, farming for 2 hours will save you untold hours of grinding before you get access to the mines. I do both. I get Vaan to about lvl 30? I think, it's been a while. And then of course I do the undead method letting the game grind automatically over night. Makes it to where you don't ever need to grind at all, just 2 hours I believe, it might have been longer, but it wasn't much. I recommend it, I hate having to grind in games so being able to get all of it done right away is a life saver as much as it a time saver.
i've got it worked before but never got to grind on level 50+ because it is too time consuming. one more is that one mistake and you'll redo it again which takes like couple of minutes to get into it again. but overall it was so rewarding.
Its not too difficult. I always do it to level 20 odd, failing getting everything else, you at least dont have to grind for first demon door (which, in normal ff12 is helpful, in tza is irrelevant now)
This is a funny video, because that second skeleton bridge in Lhusu mines is the place I power my team up usually. I just started a switch playthrough and got my party from ~12 to 35 in under 2 hours on 4x speed. Made around 300k gil too.
One of my favorite things about 12 was that baring items you could get plenty op. I grinded to about lv 40 with pannelo when I was supposed to be making a sun stone cus I wanted to kill the were wolf's in the area. Sadly I never could because they just did way too much damage due to my low Def.
fyi if you use vaan you can steal the werewolves a powerful weapon called slasher .if you fail on the steal simply zone in and out the other side of that save crystal zone and it wil re set the werevolves keep stealing you will get it
Thank you for the tips, I beat the game years ago but then they weren't any classes so really different from the game I played. Was not any trial mode then so that helps a lot with license points and gil. Back in the day we had to grind much more.
dude love this vid. also as a player that bought this brand new when it came out, this is probably the best video ive seen on some of the early game grinding. also, damn it all and your easy way to get seitengrat, been grinding a few months now to get a set of them and here i find your video and get them in less than an hour lmfao. amazing guide, even though i wont go to 99 this way (prefer flans petrified method in the mines) this was a great watch. keep up the videos man :)
The rng blessed me with 2 karkatas in about 10 minutes. It’s interesting I’ve played the game many times and I never thought to break it this way, I always just used the lhusu mines themselves
In one stage 1-10 runthrough i stole 2 Phoenix downs on stage 2, stole the kacarta(rare) and th round shield(rare) on stage 3, i stole the the berserker bracers(rare) on stage 5, the Sirius(rare) on stage 8, golden shield(common) on stage 9, then finally the Goddess's Magicite(rare) on stage 10 then died on stage 11 😆. That was my best runthrough. (Stage 1-10)
Dark Cloud huh? The question is how much time do you really want to spend fishing? You could get extremely OP weapons in the first town/ dungeon. I did just that back in the day, but I cheated and used a game shark for unlimited fishing points. IIRC I got Toan and Xio's ultimate weapons with maxed attributes before heading off to the next town. There's still a lot of grinding to level the weapons, but that's nothing compared to the amount of time it'd take fishing to get those gems for socketing... not to mention fishing was really tedious. I suppose if you wanted to do it legitimately you'd be better off getting to the second town and fishing with poison apples at night because you had better chances of getting a rare fish worth lots of points.
@@onewingedgaming lol yea. IIRC it took >200 hours for KH1 before leaving Destiny Islands and 300 hours before leaving Roxas. 200-300 hours of just grinding Wakka or dusks.
Picked this up for the first time in years and it is still good. Got the karkatas after a couple tries, a burning bow for Fran and I'm in the nalbina prison with basch as a guest right now. Didn't level to 99 as that would take WAY too long. I settled for 34 and next on my list is the op bows. I'll use your afk leveling guide later. Thanks for all the great advice and for all the hard work you do for these videos. Kudos.
Style and Steel it only works for the PS4 and Steam versions. They process the RNG seed information differently than the Switch and Xbox versions. The seed doesn’t change randomly when switching from the Reks save to your normal save on the PS4/steam version, the Xbox/switch version does change the RNG when going from one save to another. That’s why for Xbox/Switch it’s full odds if you want the bow, which is 1 in 10,000. Just google it, I’m not lying I really wanted 6 on my Switch like I have on my PS4, just won’t happen without actually farming them. So good luck.
"Two hours into the story" and then the fine print of 'plus 210 hour process to get overpowered' lol. Kudos on the effort though! I will say too, it's got me keen to fire it up again and try it all out for myself!
tbh i did get to level 20 with vaan, all monograms, when i started on ps4, for a 'master' save to load when i go replay the game. it's after getting the first esper, two job classes, no one's taken a job yet.
Also did the Dustia trick at the start with Vaan, but I stopped when I got to level 50, now currently having fun trying to fight my way up through the Trial Mode, highest I can comfortably get is 85. Hope I can get a little higher by stealing another set of Renewing Mirrions and getting some more Bubble Motes.
Fantastic video! I remember buying this game when I was 10 or 11 years old and learning that I could hyper level by tossing Phoenix Downs on the Rare Game Dustia in the Westersand, exit the room before he died, rinse, repeat for five or six hours. Good times.
Anyone else feel the process and journey getting overpowered is more satisfying then actually being overpowered? I suppose its good for speed running but as a first time playthrough I find it to detract from the overall experience. I suppose this has to do with Disgaea games in the past. Not that I liken life itself as a game but I do ponder sometimes~ Sometimes I think of this as it pertains to life as well. Being overpowered by some cheat code, but in life, its always challenging no matter what, because there is so much to invest in, time, relationships, money, self, community the only "cheat code" is other people's life experiences and incorporating that on your own. If only life weren't so variable with "RNG" eh, to be "overpowered" and have all things in order eh? And now I have gone onto a philosophical rambling having nothing to do with this video... sorry.
I think this is part of pretty much every video game for me. I am an overachiever and sometimes I spend useless hundreds of hours just maximizing stuff in JRPGs. As you can already guess, MMO'S are the bane of my free time as RNG is of my sanity... (Yes, I'm looking at you FFXIV).
Yea. Only FF I did it in was 10 and the journey was just addictive. Sadly I didn't finish everyones sphere grid after obtaining everyones ultimate weapon because my cousin wanted to borrow my ps3... 2 years ago lol. Also agreed with op on first playthrough detracting from overall experience.

You can believe i do this legit or not, it doesnt really matter at the end of the day all ill simply say is i have multiple walkthroughs and guides showing i quiet clearly do it all legit (lets not forget all my streams ether)
Dark Legionnaire You should use some macros to help you spell :)
Dark Legionnaire Listen to this guy trying to sound all elitist like. Yeah let’s just set up a bunch of macros so we don’t even have to play the game. What kind of lazy ass backwards mentality is that. Oh I know, it’s some elitist pc master race mentality... also, this is a method absolutely anyone can do, god only knows how many people don’t know what to look for when they are looking up game files and how to actually set up all these macros to work seamlessly.
Dark Legionnaire sure you do princess.
Thanks for including the overpowered section. I couldn't kill the enemies in my run so I had to run but was curious if it's possible and what happens so that's a bonus for this video.
Thanks!
The dedication in this series of videos is crazy. Absolutely love watching these, keep up the good work
One of my favourite games ever. I'm glad RUclips recommendations are finally pertinent
I loved 12 more than any other FF, and wow, you really took things to the next level!
My first full play through of this game, I did over leveling in the beginning, and it so paid off. 👍🏻
I like videos like this that talk about things like how to get early in the game, locations techniques, and I like when they’re properly explained the way you do thank you so much. Keep doing what you’re doing because it makes people like me understand how to accomplish stuff early enough in the game that it makes the rest of the game easy

im thinking about doing one for each game which of course includes 3 and 6 :) no idea on an ETA though

Depends which version of 3, but if Famicom/NES, you can easily become invincible after the first dungeon. Depending on your luck, you might even glitch out Luneth to hit level 99 as well. I've done it a couple times, and the only lengthy part is getting the best swords.
"Wait, Final Fantasy III was actually Final Fantasy VI?" Oh, localization teams. Ya dun goof't
@@CErra310 Literally every important decision had to be given the final say so by him, and everyone sorta tags along on his ship lol. Best husbando easily.

For the RUclips algorithm. You deserve to be seen!
This is insane and awesome, thank you for your hard work! I think it's pretty fascinating to see just how OP the player can become before reaching a certain point in the game. I really enjoy these videos. I learned about a lot of armor to seek when I play this again too and that I can get it early if I try, thanks again!
so i play final fantasy games ALOT (like seriously) and to keep things fun i start trying out different things and that gives birth to stratagys like this and my other overpowered videos where it just completely destroys the games balance in a way the devs would never have thought possible.

Loading up an old save. Getting 3 VERY specific value on a healing spell used with no purpose at all. Coming back to your main save, in a specific spot of a specific flight to...
Thank you very much for all the time and effort you've put into making them
I enjoy FXII, but I could never put in 200 hours of straight up grinding.
I am thrilled you take the time to do the ridiculous and share these wonderful event with us final fantasy guys and gals. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to your next "overpowered series "
I will never in my life attempt this, but it's fun to watch and hear your commentary, hahaha!
Awesome work. Ill use some of this in my next playthrough.
AwefulWaffle88 That makes me wanna pick up the XB remaster when it comes out. I remember really digging the XB soundtrack as well.
There is mods that rebalance the game and change techniques so they are useful. Like make travaler being a skill that grants you haste, float and invisible all at once. Pretty good
You have too find the stronger, better techniques out in the world.
Love these videos! I remember doing the dustia farming when i was a kid!
I love it when people take a game, play it and do ridiculous things with it. Like this. Or Speedruns. Or exploit Glitches. Or things. Thanks man :)
Just discovered your overpowered series. Loving it so far!
Glad you enjoy it!
After raithwall, theres tons of things u can do and get op equipments and easy level up. Then after euryt village, then when reaching phon coast.
Sweet video, this was one of my faves from when I played as a teen. Thanks you for making this.
I fear the man that feels the need to put himself through this.
ah yes, there was one spot in the game if you set up your gambits correctly, the game power levels itself. just like in FF6, theres a place you can set up the game to play itself with a turbo controller and have max level characters (even the characters you havent met yet) for the rest of the play through, except Locke.
1:47 I got to this point and came here, love the OP series. Amazing work and dedication. Keep up the grind.❤
Weird saying that I miss level grinding. Always felt good when you steamroll the game after. Too bad you never needed to in FFVII Remake
I always do it to level 20 odd, failing getting everything else, you at least dont have to grind for first demon door (which, in normal ff12 is helpful, in tza is irrelevant now)
I did on the PS2 version. I thought farming the werewolves for the katana was game breaking back then.
You needed to do this for the legend of Dragoon
Yesssss!!!!
Late reply but 2nded
This is a funny video, because that second skeleton bridge in Lhusu mines is the place I power my team up usually. I just started a switch playthrough and got my party from ~12 to 35 in under 2 hours on 4x speed. Made around 300k gil too.
Really appreciate you bro. Made my playthrough majestic and magical. How it should be.. thank you from New England
Love these videos, exactly how I like to play my JRPGs

(Stage 1-10)
i love how you use FF9 music, its the best one I believe lloll ff9 for life
These are addictive. I really really, REALLY, need these for things like Dark Cloud or Kingdom Hearts lol
ShiroTenshiRyu beating the shit out of your friends in kingdom hearts was great
KH would be kinda pointless since there is a guy who has gotten level 99 in 1 and 2 on Destiny Island/Twilight Town
Christopher Rankin yeah, by beating the shit out of wakka.
@@onewingedgaming lol yea. IIRC it took >200 hours for KH1 before leaving Destiny Islands and 300 hours before leaving Roxas. 200-300 hours of just grinding Wakka or dusks.
Never played an FF game. Your vids got me trying, so far I'm loving it
Picked this up for the first time in years and it is still good. Kudos.
The RNG can’t be exploited on Switch. It’s only the PS4 and Steam versions that can.
Are you sure ? I still haven't tried it yet though
What about Xbox? Or what I like to call it Winbox
Only pc and ps4 has the rng trick, you can still get the bow but it is the 1:100,000
@@JTFM66 come again?
Style and Steel it only works for the PS4 and Steam versions. They process the RNG seed information differently than the Switch and Xbox versions. The seed doesn’t change randomly when switching from the Reks save to your normal save on the PS4/steam version, the Xbox/switch version does change the RNG when going from one save to another. That’s why for Xbox/Switch it’s full odds if you want the bow, which is 1 in 10,000. Just google it, I’m not lying I really wanted 6 on my Switch like I have on my PS4, just won’t happen without actually farming them. So good luck.
lvl 99 before Lhusu mines...Meanwhile my first playthrough I'm still playing, I just got there, and my party's ~ lvl 10...And I made Vaan a Bushi.
I was thinking the same thing. I beat the game in 50 hours, then started up NEW GAME+ at level 90.
Use Vossler to finish the Trial Mode before finishing the Tomb of Raithwall.
Subscribed. The grinding level is insane. I couldn't resist the temptation to progress on the story just for grinding lol.
Breaking this game over the years has become my purpose whenever I play it👀
Fantastic video! I remember buying this game when I was 10 or 11 years old and learning that I could hyper level by tossing Phoenix Downs on the Rare Game Dustia in the Westersand, exit the room before he died, rinse, repeat for five or six hours. Good times.

Ahh watching someone deep dive into a game I have never heard of? Top tier entertainment.
This is one of my favourite series and channels on YT.
Anyone else feel the process and journey getting overpowered is more satisfying then actually being overpowered? I suppose its good for speed running but as a first time playthrough I find it to detract from the overall experience.
I suppose this has to do with Disgaea games in the past.
Not that I liken life itself as a game but I do ponder sometimes~
Sometimes I think of this as it pertains to life as well.
