Don't get me wrong, the late game pacing and rushed story are weak points, but the sense of comeraderie I felt upon completion actually broke me, like, grown ass man deployed in the desert crying my eyes out lol

It's easier to fish for gold lucian carp than chasing coins. Just 3 fish gives me 9 lucian carp reverscales (expert item angler). That's enough for a lvl 99 expericast spell with 5 casts (bonus spell).

Btw, if you don't want to do the coin farming, there is another way. basically you fight the bandersnatch immediately after Chapter 3 when you unlock the rest of the map, but first drive all the way to ravatogh mountain mart and buy some weapons from the vendor, then drive all the way to hunter HQ and buy the 3500 gil meal (and there's also other weapons here too). Then you can farm Bandersnatch at a really low level (kill him then head to the camp and wait, don't rest nearby), sell his item drops to afford the golden quay resort stay, at around level 30 or so there's a bounty again near ravatogh mountain (a bunch of wyverns) that's the next best place for EXP, then at around level 50 you can go fight legendary beasts instead - Can't remember their names but the big snake, the Eagle and the two massive bulls - just make sure you leave around 20 minutes for each to respawn. there's also a couple other moogle charms around the place (3 or 4 if i recall by this point in the game), and lets not forget the cacti outside hammerhead that respawn every in game hour. The wyvern bounty farms crazy gil as well. There is one more after all this, but not till after chapter 13 - it essentially just involves going out at night and using the ring of Luci on the spawning monsters - but the big kahuna is the occasional level 99 mech that drops down - but can often take tens of hits of the ring of luci to instakill. Used this last method to get all the way to level 120.

Six arches (I think) so six items. On one of the arches by wiz's chocobo outpost has a moogle charm, so if you wanna avoid daurell until later, there you go.

Great video! I tried to strategize something similar back in the day when the level cap was still at 99. Of course I quit after getting the moogle charm. I still have not beaten Omega in this game. What always stroke me as odd in this game is how people don't have a care in the world driving around or going to vacation even though the capital was destoyed and most people are dead.
This was essentially how my original run went. Granted, I played it on release, so there wasn't nearly as much content available. I'm excited to see how you're able to streamline the experience!
kinda same, except chapter 4. I did enough exp grind to get to like 30 with the first. Quay rest, then got to 80 or so with the free 3x from whichever chapter altissa is.
When i played the game i've accumulated tons of exp in chapter 1 using niexperience band then leveled up when you get free 2x exp hotel. The second time ive leveled up was after getting to Alticia. One of good exp farms (in my opinion) is the daily quest where you have to kill cactuars. Use Promptos black hole skill to suck cactuarts into one place then use max level thunder spell.
You can cut several hundred hours by simply do the grind during the cactuar/slactuar timed hunts (ie chapt 2 near the haven you likely sleep in when rescuing Dave). ~100k xp in a little more than 5 minutes, generally 5 to 6 hunts per game day, can harvest aegir root x9 going back to galden to level buying sheep milk and the tomatoes.
What I did for my playthrough is use Ragnarok sword. Do all monster hunt quest/side quest, explore (possible) dungeons, and save up all exp and use it to the times 2 multiplayer in The beach side place (forgot the name) where you help a ignis look a like who’s a reporter
I found tons of debased coins and was all set to fight bandersnatch next to Cindy's place when I realized I was in chapter 3 and he disappeared from there permanently. Didn't realize that you can do this trick on weak monsters just as easily.
One other slightly OP piece of gear you can get early is Drain lance 3, there's a single coeurl outside keycatrich trench after you get the axe of the conqueror you can kill for coeurl whiskers, it's a bit tricky but you can use the bioblaster you can find right outside the dungeon to poison it for a relatively easy kill. Other stuff you can relatively easily cheese with poison is the samurai guy in Balouve mines, he never leaves the pit so you can poison him and then just hang out on the upper parts cosplaying Prompto and tickling him with a gun until he perishes so you can get the bow of the clever, you can also grab an emerald bracelet and a circlet here which are pretty good accessories for chapter 2.
I gotta say, I honestly love this game, I think it gets a lot of undeserved hate (It gets a lot of deserved hate too to be fair) It has a lot of problems but the combat system is really good and fun if you choose to engage with it and not just brute force it with warp strikes and items, sure, you'll steam roll the game just by holding O and spamming potions if you wish, (which, I acknowledge is a flaw in the design) but if you deliberately choose to ignore items there's an incredible amount of depth in the game's combat system. This is especially apparent in Comrades which still has a small but active community.
And I thought the grind to 120 was a slog in late game... you're a masochist of the highest order, Primal, and we appreciate your sacrifice for our entertainment.
Bro MAJOR kudo for that grind. I beat the game in about 180hrs and did everything got all trophies. Spent over 80hrs just in fishing lol. And i did the turtle BEFORE the power ranger armor addon. This is a great guide to literally Min-Max.
I was gonna say the gaze weapons from the ffxiv crossover are the best weapons in the game but that starts in chapter five Yes gaze of the vortex with max airstep unlocked has higher dps then spamming warpstike with Ragnarok

I even followed your X-2 guide, followed it to a T, just for fun, and also to get the platinum trophy, and that didn't take nearly as long. I just watched a vid from 7 years ago and this one from 6 months ago. You guys know you can make your way onto the giant stone arch things using a chocobo right? Right outside the chocobo farm. And all of them really. Takes some work to find the right spot to get up. But theres some op drops up there including another moogle charm. Plus bandersnatch is still thr best. In combination with all of the exp boosting make a bunch of max expericasts using only one bit of each element. Then cast them all on one boss. Lots of farming. Only one fight necessary though. Rest at the resort 2x experience place and you can get max leveled.
And here I was thinking that he would grind on cactuar and bandersnatch 😂😂 I'm actually gonna try this madness. SE should sponsor you for making us want to play this thing 😅
now before starting the video, since i actually know a bit about ff15, im gonna guess what gets abused cactaur daily quest for exp combined with the no exp ring and then the best inn you get pre chapter 4 with that and the car existing everything on the ap board because the car can generate ap for you really strong magic at minimum the infinimagic from all the cactaur needles. rest? i dunno and will see edit after watching the video: ok completely different route. but what works works. tbh i didnt know these coins were a thing.
I got lvl 99 in chapter 3 by leveling in cactuar accidently, I just visit random map and met cactuar time event, and realize ton of exp that mob has, I farming like 10 times and sleep in 2x exp
You can probably be more overpowered if you stay at lv1 and use the food that increases dmg by being underlevel. I finished my 1st play at level 1 and you can easily one shot everything

The cactuar near hammerhead always gives me the coin you mention I downloaded this game for free online and got the items from the episodes without playing them also have the magitek exosuit so i can get the moogle charm and kill monsters in there without dying
The problem is getting the cactuar consistently. Iirc its a rare spawn in the morning, compared to like 1/8 chance from like 100 blue dot points I mean, more power to you, but harvesting blue dots is going to be FAR faster, even if it's save scumming, given cactuars showing up, isn't

I got this game forever ago just cuz i got it cheap, and ive been playin here and there throughout the week at the end of chapter 1(i didnt wanna end it until like Friday or Saturday when i can out some time into the game and not get interupted after a hour or so) but since ive been playin a hour-3 a day here and there and havent left the forst area to end chapter 1, im currently level 14 sitting on almost 63,000 xp and 115,000 gold(i maxed out my potions snd fishing stuff and all that so idk what else to buy) but when i goto start chapter 2 tommorow with the x2 boost ima have like 126,000 xp give or take 😂😂😂😂
Found the music a little too loud on this video. While it's a banger of a track and the staple of most of your videos, it was a little difficult to hear you on occasion.
How overpowered can you get? Turns out, not very. FF15 doesn't let you get very strong, you never get the feeling of "oh yeah I'm a badass" even at max level. It was one of the many things I hated about the game.
I can't imagine if you did "overpowered" vids for the Kingdom Hearts series.... getting max level in the earliest points of the games for those would probably take as long, if not longer than this did.....
tbf he mostly does these sort of things for games with some kind of exploit or method. Like, he wouldn't probably do this for paper mario, just because you technically COULD get to max level, with nearly 3000 fights. He's not going to be like that guy that spent years getting to max level in, ff7 iirc, in the tutorial or whatever it was, that's not what he's about, really, it's more breaking games optimally.
Not to be that guy because the amount of time you spent was crazy enough..... I did find it odd you didn't get any of the Str boosting royal arms or accessories, I found the whole point of being OP'd in the game revolved around having a ludicrously high Str stat.

I got lvl 99 in chapter 3 by leveling in cactuar accidently, I just visit random map and met cactuar time event, and realize ton of exp that mob has, I farming like 10 times and sleep in 2x exp

You can probably be more overpowered if you stay at lv1 and use the food that increases dmg by being underlevel.
I finished my 1st play at level 1 and you can easily one shot everything
300 odd hours grind for a 15 min video, madness but always love the FF9 track in the background

The cactuar near hammerhead always gives me the coin you mention
I downloaded this game for free online and got the items from the episodes without playing them also have the magitek exosuit so i can get the moogle charm and kill monsters in there without dying
The problem is getting the cactuar consistently. Iirc its a rare spawn in the morning, compared to like 1/8 chance from like 100 blue dot points
I mean, more power to you, but harvesting blue dots is going to be FAR faster, even if it's save scumming, given cactuars showing up, isn't
@@KeithElliott-zd8cx i just took advantage of the cactuar timed quest since you can do it more than once while its available got over 1 million exp in no time

I was able to het around 186k just with food and moogle charm
And you can do it as many times possible when its available, even without the coins for those who dont want to waste time looking for them this still a good alternative
I got this game forever ago just cuz i got it cheap, and ive been playin here and there throughout the week at the end of chapter 1(i didnt wanna end it until like Friday or Saturday when i can out some time into the game and not get interupted after a hour or so) but since ive been playin a hour-3 a day here and there and havent left the forst area to end chapter 1, im currently level 14 sitting on almost 63,000 xp and 115,000 gold(i maxed out my potions snd fishing stuff and all that so idk what else to buy) but when i goto start chapter 2 tommorow with the x2 boost ima have like 126,000 xp give or take 😂😂😂😂

How overpowered can you get? Turns out, not very. FF15 doesn't let you get very strong, you never get the feeling of "oh yeah I'm a badass" even at max level. It was one of the many things I hated about the game.
I can't imagine if you did "overpowered" vids for the Kingdom Hearts series....
getting max level in the earliest points of the games for those would probably take as long, if not longer than this did.....
tbf he mostly does these sort of things for games with some kind of exploit or method. Like, he wouldn't probably do this for paper mario, just because you technically COULD get to max level, with nearly 3000 fights.
He's not going to be like that guy that spent years getting to max level in, ff7 iirc, in the tutorial or whatever it was, that's not what he's about, really, it's more breaking games optimally.

I did find it odd you didn't get any of the Str boosting royal arms or accessories, I found the whole point of being OP'd in the game revolved around having a ludicrously high Str stat.
