If your still around I have questions
First off do you just stay here until you get a lot of gold rolling pins or a ribbon or two
Secondly if you don't have a ton exp built up do you still level up?
It's my first time playing. Trying to maximize the experience lol.
Also one thing to note and I Don't think it was said in the video but after the grinding DO NOT abandon the mission as you will lose all progress done in that mission as I learned while doing a mission where I leveled up in a battle but the boss was too hard and I gave up on it then that level I got disappeared in the main game.
Omg I did this on accident and was literally level 98 omg I’m so sad
No shit Sherlock
@@Sagegabs
the OG allowed you to abort the mission but keep your XP... all else though would be lost.
I thought that was common sense?
@@marie-camilleschaap2708 lol 😆
Disclaimer- you will NOT level to 99 in less than an hour. That being said, defeating Scissors is still a great way to farm exp. I used 8-6-5 instead bc of the higher spawn rates and went from level 69 to 99 in about 2.5 hours. I would consider these two zones mid to late game farming as you have to beat the higher level Bahamut Fury to access them
Thank you for this! I'm leveling up way faster than I was with primalliquid's method! I also have my Buster sword proficiency at 82.70% with High Jump and Genjj Shield equipped. So I just enter Buster Sword stance and spam High Jump until all enemies are defeated. Most of the time it's 1 shot for all enemies because BS Stance breaks damage limit through high proficiency unless one spawns out of the way. With Genji Shield or Wizard Bracelet equipped one absorb most attacks into hp except physical attacks and Flare. But if you defeated the enemies fast enough they won't have an opportunity to use that. One last thing... this Myth about having to wait on the DMW to roll to 777 is false. When you finish a battle and you have leveled up, it automatically gives you a level up even though the DMW never finished a roll. I just tested this theory and the DMW never stopped but I still leveled up after the battle. I then defeated more enemies and finished the level to stand in Mission 1-1-1 and the DMW hit 777 multiple times while never leveling me up! So my conclusion is you automatically level up during or after battles when you have acquired enough EXP and you should not depend on the 777 roll from the DMW.
@@andrewbelew7345 Definitely agree about the DMW. A common strat is to farm and then go to 1-1-1 to wait for the DMW to roll a 777 for level ups but the problem with that is you have no idea how much exp you have accumulated and you also don't know how much is required for level ups. You could be afk in 1-1-1 for like an hour to come back to maybe 2 level increases. It's more time efficient to just keep killing scissors until you reach 99 because like you said, you'll automatically roll 777 when you have enough exp
In case no one wants to look them up
Blast Wave: Reward from Mission 3-3-6
Hell Blizzaga:Chests in Mission 2-3-1, 4-4-2 and 6-4-2.
Hell Firaga: Chests in Mission 2-3-1, 4-4-2 and 6-4-2.
Hell Thundaga:Reward from Mission 2-5-2 .
Note: You can buy the spells from the Wutai shop but idk when you unlock that. And you can fuse vital slash(M) + libra (M) to get blast wave.
Thank you very much bro.
You’re a lifesaver bro!!
Not all heroes wear capes 🔥🔥💯
You're awesome! At least you explained unlike this guy talking on video ugh!
@@thaovang09ify No worries. I'm sure he forgot or something. Please no hate towards them. I only posted it because I was also curious where I could find them.
This is coming in handy especially with how rusty I am from not playing the OG in so many years, thank you; definitely would of saved me hours of grinding had i known this back then 👍
Thank you for this guide it definitely helped me!! After investigating a few other missions I found that mission 9-5-3 worked amazing for leaving up managed to get atleast 2 scissor devils every fight sometimes 3 and if i didn't get one I always got atleast 1 three star so that helped with my SP farming as well, Wouldn't have figured this out without you and I've leveled up so much in such a short time!
This guide helped me out quite a ton. I was even able knock out both Scissor monsters at once with the Blast Wave at a few instances.
You have more fun with games when you 1 shot tough enemies? What's the point of removing the entire challenge from the game? I'm not trying to be rude.. I'm genuinely curious how that could be considered fun and rewarding.
No. I meant while I was doing the leveling up process, I was lucky and got both Scissor monsters at once with the Blast Wave. That has nothing to do with having fun knocking them out easily. It's just a task that gamers do. Nothing more.
@@Whosyodaddeh Some people do prefer that. It could be because they want to feel powerful in the game, or make it feel like their character is as strong as they should be for their lore, or it’s just how people have fun. No explanation necessary.
@@Whosyodaddeh The point is to level up enough so the last bosses of the game aren't as hard to beat. If people have to explain this to you, then you're doing something wrong.
@@Whosyodaddeh
You are literally commenting under a channel who's famously known for getting as overpowered in a game as mechanically possible, as early as possible.
tried to follow your other vid about being overpowered early, and got the electrocute spell, which makes easy work on those garnet moles so you dont have to skip them. Electrocute usually nails 3 to all 4 at once, and if one is leftover, blast waves work on it too. makes it easier to not have to skip so many fights, other than the hippogriffs.
I’m at the end of chapter 8 and I was getting by on just very few missions. Do I just have to do missions to get all this materia?
I dont have all those shops unlocked. Can u get graviga back after fusing it into blast wave?
How do I know when I have enough EXP?
I tried this but the claw enemies almost never spawn, all the enemies kill me quickly - including the claw ones, and I'm over level 50. Watching your video and then trying myself are two totally different things. There are also griffin enemies that kill you in a few hits and are immune to the blowback technique.
Isn’t 8-6-5 better for this? It spawns Scissors much more frequently. Why 8-6-4?
You saved me a ton of time. 8-6-5 is far better
where did you get octaslash materia that early in the game?
Does this method still work, or has it been patched out?
TIA
Any 2nd best spot since the stage is not unlocked yet?
Also in 8-6-4 bring darkness with you, and just one shot the whole group of Garnet Moles that way you can farm AP Mako Stones, and its quicker then fleeing plus its just more exp to add to the pool.
I’m on chapter 4 right now and I’m level 21. Any advice on what I should be grinding for to be as op as possible?
I’m wondering the same thing. Every video that’s like “Get super op Early: Step 1 - go to this missions that you have zero chance in hell of getting to wearing gear you don’t have access to…”.
I need this currently chapter 4 lvl 28 I don't have those missions open playing on hard as well 😢
Idk how late I am but congrats on 100,000!
thank you
How do you unlock for accessory slots?
Oh nice. Saving this for later.
So im in chapter 5 and forget to click the 4 side quests I didn't look at map xD how do I go back?! I wanna try this
Thank you! I will make sure to use this method. I had played and cleared the original in normal and hard years ago, although I never beat Minerva in hard. This time I’m doing a full hard play through first go and I plan to beat Minerva. These guides will be a tremendous help!
So, are you going to try and beat Minerva naturally first? Or are you going to just boost yourself to 99 and easily beat it with no newly acquired skills from losing first?
@@Whosyodaddeh why you so mad bro
@@Whosyodaddeh Naaa flexing skill in a game with the most simple attacks ever n claiming everyone else is sorry is crazy
Which materia create blast wave? That skill looks sick!!
Where did u get those items?? I'm in chapter 7 and don't have most of those materias and equipment
Complete missions and unlock the hidden stores
Thanks buddy billion times 😊happy new year 😁
happy new year to you aswell!
so is there a downside to go level 99 ? like you cant get other things you need or want or something?
I have a question, is getting the Dark/SOLDER materia set early as a Pre-Order bonus worth it? And how do you get it? I put in the code in the Switch eshop so I can get it but I can't figure out if I have it or not.
Once you get to a certain point you'll get a pop up message telling you they're unlocked. It's pretty early on but until then they're unavailable.
As for it they're worth it, totally, at least early on. I would suggest equipping them once they're unlocked
@@Muzangetsu Thanks! I'm surprised I got a response this early.
Definitely worth it there pretty OP early game and you can epuiped them right after the prologe
amazingly worth it. as early fusions with mastered versions of the dark spells (dark fire for example) can very quickly lead to hell versions, which are fcking BROKEN for most of the game. can clear rank 6+ missions with hell firaga and hell thundaga relatively easily.
I am not able to obtain Blast Wave in M3-3-6 so I would probably have to move on in the story maybe finish Chapter 4?
How do you make hell blizzaga and status Ward
Definitely enjoy the guide I took this guide put on a wizard bracelet and I put the accessory on that puts wall on forgot what it's called and just afk and just let them heal me then hurt me so thanks would not have figured this out without your help
you afk'd? I hope you didn't actually afk, because if you did you've sorely missed the point in doing this...
What if I don’t have Mission 8-6?
@Primalliquid I must be doing this wrong myself because it's taken me nearly 4 hours to get from level 45 to 67. What do you mean by spinning the DMW ourselves because it spins automatically every battle? I'm confused
He mean this video is only clicbait, genius...
Where/how do i get these spells in ch 3?
Snap! When I first played the psp version I got level capped around 70 something cause no matter what I would do or what guide I followed I could not level up. I beat almost all missions except the secret missions and of course minerva and when I did new game plus hard mode I got to the last chapter and the battles would last 30 minutes it felt like because I kept getting one shot. Instead I made a fresh save on hard and I was able to get level cap. No idea what happened with my og save
Also good to remember the curse ring prevents the DMW from spinning so you can stock up those levels a little easier.
Just bought the game and played a fair bit story. Who continues to give me great guides with great attitude? Primalliquid. You made my Atelier Ryza a blast of fun. Thank you for your greatness.
So... you need guides for gaming storymode? pfffff wow
Free it's piratebay
Great vid, really helpful. Quick question to clearify, if the theory of the method is to gain so much exp you force the game to give you lv ups, why only target the spider looking things? Could you just kill every random encontour that spawns on this two areas?
its down to the amount of EXP the mobs give, scissors give vastly more than any other mobs do, its not worth spending the few seconds on grasshoppers or griffins because they give so little
Nice guide as always Primal. It would have been nice to get an explanation on exactly how to get those materia in the vid though. A simple google search sorted that out readily enough. But having the info all in one place would make it easier still. :)
by going through the missions opening treasure chests, stealing or dropping from monsters ect theres numerous ways to get them
@@Primalliquid92 Right. I just thought it might be a Materia fusion option or something since I haven't played the game since the PSP days and couldn't remember. :P All good.
The classic gamefaq guides for the original Crisis Core PSP should still check out, there are materia fusion guides too
some are changed
Materia Fusion you can get all the materias
Thanks for the video I’ll be doing this shortly. Just made blast wave now as I’m typing this doing afk method to max it. I’ve already at chapter 5 essentially broke the game with my load out lol.
What is the afk method you are referring to?
What did you use for blast wave?
Hell yeah 100k
But how do i get those neceassary materia?
Grinded for about 2 hours , been rolling dmw on 1-1-1 for about 5 hours now , still stuck at lvl 70 , do i need to grind more or this is purely luck not being on my side ?
need to grind more, the DMW part is normally the fastest if you have enough exp banked up
Leveling up is really up to chanve
But how to get blastwave? And I wonder how to even get to the level up mission by chapter 3. What level are you going after the bahamut fury mission at? He’s smacking the taste out of my mouth at 28
Click bait looks great on the search screen
can seem to get the steal / mug materia. any tips for getting it? just on chapter 4
mission reward iirc, check out my "overpowered" video as the missions to do are in that, and you get steal from one of them
@@Primalliquid92 thank you
So I started following your guide and now I just one shot everything 😂 it’s so funny
You can 1 shot everything by just playing the game naturally on hard mode, lol...
Well thats how sephiroth 1 hits everything.
I think you should also mention that after you have defeated lots of Scissors, you should chill at M1-1-1 and let the DMW spin to level you up etc., and also that I believed M8-6-5 has much higher rate for spawning Scissors.
The only reason to go to 1-1-1 would be if you're using the cursed ring to stockpile xp or you already have enough xp to get to 99. Otherwise, you're better off just continuing to grind for more xp. Your probability of leveling up is the same whether you continue grinding or just sit around and wait. Also, most people don't realize this, but the probability of leveling up goes DOWN each time you gain a level. So at higher levels, you might find yourself sitting around for quite a while.
@@darkdoc0268 this is false the 777 is just for show you level up when you accumulate enough exp to level up. Leveling up is the same as in remake but hidden exp
@@naegleriafowleri2230 No, it's not. Yes the xp is hidden and you do need to have accumulated the xp to level, but you still have to get 777. It's still up to RNG, and there's a formula to calculate how likely you are to level up. [20 * (AVLevel - CurLevel) * [AVLevel*100/CurLevel]/100]/2.56 = Probability to Level Up. Comes straight from the Bradygames strategy guide for the PSP version.
@@darkdoc0268chill. Get a job
I like how they fixed stuff in remake where when u esacape u cant do nothing but take a hit b4 u flee and added a sprint button for faster run
You can do it at chapter 3. Just have all the best item of the game. Lol
I've tried this. But my blast wave doesn't knock them out. And I die before another chance. (currently working through M9 missions to get wizards bracelet)
its not a 100% effect, however the higher level your blast wave is, the higher the chance of eject happening
Yeah it has gotten better. From a fellow stokie. Thanks for the guide.
they kill me so fast because the casting time is so long for blast wave
I was thinking the same thing, because you have to beat mission 8-5-6 to access the 8-6 path. How are you people beating a 7 star bahamut fury mission below level 25.
Perseverance, pheanix feathers a high attack power and a powerful yellow materia
To get battles run in the middle if you on the sides enemies won't spawn.
What's a mocha reactor ?
Where did you get those items? I’m curious, what shop And where? still learning things about the game❤❤
all my gear came from mission rewards/chests in missions
@@Primalliquid92 OK was wondering I haven’t done a bunch of omissions yet just been trying to get through your stuff and get the hang of the game control
@@Primalliquid92 trying to get through those missions myself one of them. I’m having an issue with, but I’m sure it will get done getting off at midnight gotta go in the following midnight to work, so maybe I’ll get some time to play
Can I use Quake instead of Blast Wave? It’s just more effective and time efficient
You can even use darkness from where I’ve read otherwise this is just a Materia that makes it a little easier
How many roughly do you have to kill?
to hit level 99? no idea never counted sorry
How did you get the Hp Up materia with a 999% HP boost?
via materia fusion most likely, you can do that with HP Up++ then another materia as long as the end result is HP Up++ or a materia with HP % as its bonus, then with the 3rd materia fusion option use lots and lots of fat chocobo feather. Warning, the closer you get to 999% the SP amount you need is very high.
@@noobofalltrades9766 thanks for your reply. Is there a good afk sp farming method please? I afk on 1-1-1 mission but the sp farming that way is too slow.. please tell me..
@@AsimSiddiqui007 the best way to do that is getting the DMW materia from the shops and get into a survivable fight. This will heighten the chances of getting the sp from limits and summons.

Are you going to do videos on the Mog/Magic Pot DMW trick? Because nearly 14 years on from originally playing Crisis Core... I remember Sweet FA.... Other than that even with Costly Punch Minerva was an ass 😂
sadly magic pot trick is nerfed since your forced to get tonberry aswell

@@zerodeadwolf213 hey could you plz explain a little about how going straight to lvl 99 messes up things? Please?

Does this still work?
How do we get Blast Wave, Hell Blizzaga and Status Ward when we're in Chapter 3 only?
by completing missions, opening chests, unlocking stores and using materia fusion for blast wave. all of it is possible in chapter 3, its just some later missions get difficult with out preparing for them.
if the missions get REALLY difficult, you're getting to the good stuff
Hell blizzaga and status ward u can get with missions. Either through shop or unlocking them via chest in the missions. Blast wave though is a bit later than ch.3

I wish people would comment on how accurate this strategy actually is. Does it work? Yes it does (Sort of...). Do you get to lvl 99 in Less than an hour? Hell NO. You get a level around every 10 to 15 min. It took me 4 and a half hours to level from 65 to 99... (the last levels were very grindy) So it'll take you a while to get there. It's a good strategy to make bank though.
you say it took you 10-15 minutes to level, were you spinning the DMW in these fights? because if so, you were doing the method wrong lol. the entire point is to kill the fights before the DMW even completes 1 spin, then you go and sit in stage 1-1-1 and just let the DMW spin to use up all your EXP to get level after level after level.
Thats cause leveling up is left up to chance . Plus saying it will take longer then an hour and being honest wouldnt get him clicks .
