빌리 선생님 안녕하세요? 도와주셔서 정말 감사합니다! 저는 지금 공부가 잘 되고 있고 말을 더 연습하기 위해서 요즘에 고려대학교에서 수업을 듣고 있습니다. Wow, I feel so honored to be featured on your series, so thank you a lot for all of your feedback! I appreciate every single comment you made, and yes, some speaking practice using shorter and sharper sentences would be a great start 😄🙏

I always make sure that my sentences are short and correct. Even my Korean teachers talks to other Korean teachers in short sentences, so I just learned it from them . Now that Billy says that Korean do try to make thier sentences short I feel relieved

this video was super helpful!! i also try to make the loooongest sentences (i think part of it is because i'm still "thinking english" first). it's really validating to see others working on the same challenges as me :~)

can 과 and 이랑 used together in a sentence?
And btw in a book it’s written (이)랑 can be used with both the first noun and the second noun, but not 과/와
It was written 옷과 가방과 사요 and said it was wrong but with 이랑 it was fine?

i want to ask something topic surrounding korean names. i learning korean as heritage language but i am chinese and i have chinese name but i just use korean name from 한자음 for chinese name's characters. is there any problem with doing this or it would be better to use chinese pronunciation in hangeul?

interesting perspective on the given/ Korean name thing. in my experience of making international friends who have English names, i don't feel that awkwardness but maybe it's a cultural difference? idk, i've introduced myself w my Korean name and ppl seem fine with it. anyone have any similar/ different experiences? i lived in Seoul so idk if there'd be a difference further south

When I was an English teacher in China it was a bit odd because all of my college-age students were using English names that were likely given to them since Kindergarten. How do I say they didn't really match their personality but also I am terrible at remembering names in all languages and despite being intermediate in Chinese I couldn't remember their Chinese names very well either.
I also had a young Chinese kid that was named Handsome as an English name by his kindergarten teacher who I can only guess was not foreign. But if I was the kid in the future and a parent I would be worried.

    • @Taradays

I do agree with Billy on this though. Even Chinese students in the U.S. only use an English name if their real name is hard to pronounce.

@@Taradays thanks for sharing your experience in China! hm i wonder what the Chinese perspective is on foreigners using Chinese names now. but ofc China is so big it's hard to make generalizations
