To be honest, I am really impressed with her Korean skills. I can not believe that she have studied Korean for seven months and reached to decent Korean skills!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏 good job👍
I am honestly impressed by how well she did after only seven months of studying. I don't know Korean at all (well, okay, maybe a word here and there and most of the alphabet, but that's still nothing) and seeing the level she reached after only seven months was at the same time encouraging and scary. I wish I could do as well as she did but I don't think I would, tbh 🥺 Congrats, Luiza, you're kind of amazing. And thanks, Billy. I just found you and don't even know where to start but thanks for all the content you create to help us. 💜
I've been studying Korean a bit longer than Luiza, and even now, I'm not sure if I could do better than her, especially having the courage to send a video. She did many beginner mistakes, but I think it's great she's not afraid of making them and she's trying to have some fun with the language. Myself, I often struggle trying to write something in Korean, for example a RUclips comment, because I'm always afraid it won't be correct. This idea that you need to write the correct answer like in a test is often detrimental to actually improving. Personally, I wouldn't try to speak Korean so early (seven months is really a short time), but I admire her confidence. I know for sure she'll be speaking Korean a lot sooner than me. Keep up the hard work, Luiza!
I've been studying for a bit more than 2 years, and the only thing I'm really confident is my Korean pronunciation I'm Brazilian like Luiza, and some of the songs don't exist in the Portuguese language, like 으 or ㅇ (it does exist, but only in words where the letter after is a G, C, or K), but I tried really hard and I got the pronunciation right after like 1 year practicing
Hi Billy! Nice video as always... I am in Chapter 70 of your beginner course and I just want to comment something about it. At the beginning some vocabulary hit me hard and thought How am I supposed to remember all this?... To my happy surprise I always find myself remembering some of the vocabulary just before going to sleep and even making sentences in my head, it is so satisfying XD I also think in english and I immediatly try to translate it into korean, and if I dont know the word for a certain thing or verb I look it up quickly in my phone to start incorporating it, thank you!!
I love this series! I hope you continue it so one day when I’m confident in speaking Korean more I can send in my own video. Been studying for 5 months using your videos and the TTMIK courses and books.
Congaratulations Luiza! You are doing very well and you are very brave. I am sure you will inspire a lot of people with your video. 화이팅! And also thank you so much 빌리 선생님, this videos are really helpful and intresting becuase everyone can learn from each other. Thank you as always!
Hey Billy, I just received my KMS #1 book today and I've been having a blast with the beginner lessons. Just wanted to say thank you and keep up the amazing work. 감사합니다!
i think it would be great if you got someone who studied for years but still struggle a lot and stuck at high beginner level or something like that.. would be a good contrast to all these amazing people..
Proud to say that I've been studying for 6 months and I have already reached as far as Luiza skills. Not as good as expected but my pronunciation is good(and also read hangeul faster than before)
I am from India. I m learning korean for kpop.... Actually its quite tough for me to manage all the things as I am 11 plus I am also learning sanskrit and french (excluding hindi and english) as learning them has became compulsory in our school....and I am not even allowed to use phone on a regular basis.... I m hiding that I am learning korean from my family as they don't want me to learn it.... I think the reason is that after learning the language they think that I will day night only watch bts, bp, txt, exo etc. No specific reason for writing this I just wanted to share it to someone.....anyways thank you for uploading these kind of videos.....it is helping a lot....
Don`t worry Astha, you`re still very young and will have a lot time to learn everything you want. Your parents may not understand now but be sure that they love you and only do things that they think that are best for you, so don`t resent them. Keep doing things that you like to stay motivated. 화이팅!

You should definitely make a video where you talk about Jessi’s korean. I’m not a korean native speaker so I can’t really understand whether she’s good or just meh..
안녕 is too casual when addressing a teacher or anyone with a superior status and should be used only with close friends of the same age or to children or pets. 안녕하세요 is preferable. For an elderly person or someone much higher in status like a CEO or a government official, you can use 안녕하십니까.
Hey, Billy! May I have your attention, please. A lot of websites have been uploading pdfs of your KMS books, unfortunately. Don't worry, I did not download it because I know that it's cheating. Could you please do something about it? If you won't, your books will not be bought by people and they can learn Korean with your books but with no profit to you. You have worked hard for it and your efforts should be respected. Sincerely, Nandini.
I often do send requests to remove them, however there are too many out there. If you let me know a new one that you find, I can try to take care of it. However, I understand that it is impossible to remove them all, as too many people are doing it and I'm the only person managing this channel. So I try to first focus on places that are *selling* my things illegally to make a profit for themselves, before focusing on people giving them away.
@@GoBillyKorean a website that I can tell is kupdf.net. I swear I did not download it. As a supporter, I am very much concerned about this issue because only you know how much you struggled with your job. It would have taken a lot of time to publish this book. So I thought I should do my part. Please look into the issue. And thank you so much for your videos! I have been studying beginner Korean through your Beginner 's 100 - episode Korean series. And your explanations are very clear. Also, I have not seen much Korean teachers introducing about politeness levels, which you did. So I can completely rely on your resources.
I also would like to ask you something about korean pronunciation! In chinese we usually keep intonation pretty low in the end of the sentence, is it the same for korean? Thanks a lot

How come you pronounce “since” as “sense”? Is that an accent thing or an individual thing?
I'm from Los Angeles. Maybe it's just a thing here.

Yes, I explained it in my live class about "While" which is in the Live playlist on my channel :)

It will depend on the person. I think shadowing is a good way to learn Korean intonation, since everyone speaks a bit differently.
