I just put this shaft in my driver and on the launch monitor dropped close to 500 rpm vs my stock RDX smoke. The fitter said it didn’t really make sense but I went back the next day and did the same thing again. I have my first round with it tomorrow 🤞
Wow!! very nice review Greg!! i want it to try it, I do have the HD 6 S at the moment which UB did you try ? 60G Stiff ? coz i do want to get one . thank you very much -Bubba !!
@@SydneyGolfTech Sweet !! thank you for the Info!! I will order the same -- UB 60 G Stiff. I was wondering if you tried the Ventus blue 60 S Fujikura ? i heard a lots of good things about it! just wonder if you tried it -- Mahalos - Bubba !!
It really depends on the player, but the TR fits a wider range of swing styles. The UB will spin a little more too, which can be good and bad, again depending on the player.
@@SydneyGolfTech Ah a true shaft aficionado haha. Ok thanks for your thoughts Im also a true believer of more spin as it helps dodge the low dippers. But then it doesn’t give you those long knuckle balls. First world problems 🤦🏻♂️
@@SydneyGolfTech Last query hope you don't mind me. Your results with the TR and UB were really good. If you had to rank (in terms of overall performance) between Ventus Red, Ventus TR and Tour AD UB, how would you rank them?
@@aywm6792 that’s really hard because the weather has been so bad and I haven’t taken the TR out on the course yet. For me, the Ventus red is a little straighter and more reliable than the UB. Not sure whether the TR will outperform the red though. Time will tell, but on the Quad, it seems like it could.
@@SydneyGolfTech thanks! That’s what I keep hearing but when I was testing out the IZ on my hybrid the launch was much lower than my gamer 🤷♂️ and I’m a high ball hitter.
@@ESW206 the IZ hybrid shaft is a slightly different profile to the wood shaft. It would also depend on your speed, and how you load the shaft to determine if it will launch high or not. There’s a few things at play there, hence why trialing or fitting a shaft is really important.
Fantastic review Greg; keep them coming!
Thanks very much for watching 😃

What u think of the tour AD F-series for a 3 wood or fairway wood?
Thanks for swingweight info on shafts
great video, would this be a decent option to try in a 3 wood if you have liked DI in the past in fairways? Cheers
Most definitely worth a try. It will launch lower than the DI, as it is a more mid launching shaft.
How does the UB compare to the DI?
The UB feels more stable than the DI and will launch lower.
Just purchased the ub sr shaft, having pured, cut & tipped for a Ping G425, will let you know wast happens.

I tried the UB in 60g stiff and I really liked it.

Will this UB dethrone the Ventus TR?

@@aywm6792 absolutely. The low spinner is the worst. With such low spinning heads these days, shaft manufacturers are having to add a little spin.

How do u c9mpade against the IZ?
The IZ is much higher launching than the UB. Very different shafts.

How does the UB feel compared to TP. I am current gaming my TP and wanted to see the difference.
Feel is quite subjective so I think it’s well worth trying the UB to see what you think of it. Flight in the UB should be a touch lower.
Il never get that 20 mins back...
