Ventus is a little tighter on dispersion but the UB is generating way more ball speed. You could definitely tweak the set up with the UB just to soften that left bias. Maybe a slight fade bias weighting in the driver head, tip it half inch or even move to the X flex.
I think the simple solution is to play 1 click down in loft on the loft sleeve to open the face a little. It might even drop the spin and pick up more ball speed doing that.
Thanks Gregg, great tests, it makes me to take first flight from London to came their and test all the shafts. By the way, I would like to see a test on Paradym head with Graphite Design UB & VR6 + Tour AD BB6, Ventus tr blue, HZRDUS smoke blue and Mitsubishi Kaili blue. All blue and 6S for a good looking driver. 😉
Loving the content mate. Makes me want to come hang with you for the day and see what a proper fitting feels like. I currently game an 10.5 m5 driver which for me launches quite flat. Weights in the heel and back of the centre rail. I’m an excessive tinkerer at the best of times and keep switching between the Ventus black and blue. Both in 6x. The UB has my attention. I find the dispersion to be a bit more erratic with the blue, however like you say it has bombs in it. Keep it coming, great content.
I have had the TSi3 with the Ventus Blue 6x, currently Ventus Blue TR 6x in TSi3, and just for my TSR3 with the UB 6x. I agree the OG Blue was soft in the hands, the TR corrected that, and the UB feels firmer in the hands. The UB doesn’t feel as “hingy” in the mid section like the Ventus Blue, yet smooth and certainly not “one piece”.
Feel is certainly subjective and I suspect that a lot of Titleist fittings will be in UB as it’s their latest premium offering. It’s a great shaft, when in the right hands. I have fitted plenty of them, particularly in fairway woods.
@@SydneyGolfTech I should mention, I was in the DI 6x, prior to Ventus Blue and Ventus Blue TR. The UB is a beefier version of the DI (IMO), so I have come full circle back the Graphite Design.
How would you compare the ub to the Ventus black? Play the black in my G410 but had the chance to hit a tsr2 with an ad ub in it on the course and was really impressed.
You have 2 totally different combinations there. I’d dare say that TSR is a little more advanced than the 410 and possibly the softness in the UB helped with ball speed too.
I suppose they are similar in that the handle sections in both are softer than the tip, but the XC is softer in the handle, and then gets really stiff in the mid section while the UB is slightly firmer in the handle and softer in the middle than the XC.

Thanks very much for watching. 😃
Thanks for putting the effort in!
Great comparison Greg. Just gotta aim right with the UB. 😃

So what are your thoughts on Ventus TR vs Tour AD UB.?
Ventus line seems to have great feel….appreciate you doing these comparisons
The Ventus line is an amazing line of shafts. I have never experienced better feeling and stable shafts.

I didn’t catch it but is that the velecore version on the blue ?
Yes it is velocore. Thanks for watching.
Any oban blue devotion shaft test?
@@ericpietrondi9186 we don’t have Oban sorry.
@ that stinks. All good thanks.
GD-UB is a hot shaft. I have it in my TSR3 driver and 4 wood.
@@fishmojo865 it’s definitely an amazing shaft. 🔥
Would you say UB is similar profile to the XC?

@@SydneyGolfTech Thanks Greg.
Could be a tuff question to answer but how would the UB compare to the hzrdus black gen 4? Cheers👍🏼
God - I love it's in Meters not yards! :)
Doing my best for the metric system 😂
