    Really looking forward to the TR review. I think there's two in depth reviews showing that ball speed with the TR red is very high.

    I love the "there's my normal" that took 15+ shots to appear. Based on this, need to embrace the fade.

      This is why I don’t play Ventus red any more. It has too much right bias for me. I really believe people only play a fade because they can’t play a draw. I don’t have the yards to give away by playing a fade.

    Just got fitted for the Graphite design tour iz shaft in the TSR2 driver
    Didn’t get the chance to hit a Ventus
    Wish I had!

      IZ is a great shaft and you will love it in the TSR. I’m sad you couldn’t hit the Ventus though. There’s nothing like it.

    Greg, I would appreciate your thoughts/opinions on this. I'm stuck on the two shafts you feature in this video. You can throw in the Red TR as well (I have that shaft in my driver). I'm ready to pull the trigger on a low spin 3W and 7W (AI Smoke TDs). I am not an aggressive swinger (my transition is fairly smooth). What do I do bro? You weren't swinging the IZ as well in this video. Are you still a fan of the Red for your fairways? Thoughts? I keep hearing the IZ is the right move, unless I swing it faster/faster transition (my SS with a driver is about 97, but the TR Red was the clear winner, so who knows...).

      I have found the red a little too firm in the handle at times, but if I don’t want to miss left, it’s the perfect shaft. I can release hard on it and it won’t miss left. I have been in TR blue lately as the handle is softer and I find it a little easier to draw. I have never really hit TR red well, but if it goes well in your driver, there’s a strong chance it will work well in your fairway. I have also found IZ really good. Handles the firmer transition when it needs to and goes higher than the Red.

    I’m have a smooth tempo swing @ 100mph for the driver. I’m looking to get a PING G430 LST head simply because I prefer the smaller head shape over the MAX, I’m a very visual player.
    I don’t hit the ball high so I’m interested in the Ventus Red 5. What’s your opinion on a mid- high launch shaft being put into a low spin head ( Ventus Red + G430 LST) thanks for the video.

      I’m not sure that LST is the greatest option unless you make sure that the loft on the club head produces enough launch for you. The shaft can help a little, but the loft and CG that will produce the spin are far more important. Your angle of attack will also play a huge role in shaft selection. People often struggle for height because of a closed club face or downward angle of attack. The closed face player needs more spin while the downward angle of attack player often needs less spin.

    I'm running a VR in a TS2 and a GD di in a TS3 16.5 and am happy with both. Getting 20m less with the 3 will so gapping is good to.
    Thanks for the video

      I have been asked to do a VR vs Ventus Blue, so that will be launched soon.

    Were you hitting the Ventus in stiff or x? What clubhead speed would you go to the red in x stiff?

    • @SydneyGolfTech
      @SydneyGolfTech  2 года назад +1

      I generally play and test in stiff. I suppose my swing is fairly stable and I hit up quite a lot so I don’t generally need the stiffness of the shaft to control spin. In saying that, a general rule would be to entertain X flex at about the 105 mark. Fitting really is the key though.

    Suscribed even though I have to convert to yards lol. think you talked me into the Ventus red. My other consideration was the HZRDUS blue rdx smoke small batch (aftermarket).

    I think you were hitting the epic speed better 🫢 but that said this is an attestation to how stable the ventus (red) shaft is.

    • @SydneyGolfTech
      @SydneyGolfTech  2 года назад +1

      The Epic Speed was very good, possibly the best head I have ever had. I haven’t been able to replicate it with the Rogue ST unfortunately so the Stealth will stay in the bag for now. Ventus red is definitely both stable and fast.

      @@SydneyGolfTech and the epic speed lives up to its name too! It gives that extra clubhead speed. Funny how golfers just need to look for something better even when it’s already working so well. The quest for perfection never ends. Especially when you have access to a quad and a whole bunch of shafts and heads 😂
