I would like to test the VF. I got a fitting early this year and it was a choice between a ventus black and a VA nemesys. Both different profiles but went with the nemesys. Going to have to test it against the VF
@@SydneyGolfTech went through lots of different shafts and got the most consistent numbers with them. I just went with what felt the best for me to swing and feel.
Wonderful review. Very informative and perfect comparison. Cheers! Will be trying the VF 7s here shortly - coming from a ventus black 7s so this review was perfect! Subscribed!
Appreciate the video. I was interested to see this comparison. VF has my attention. Currently gaming the Ventus Black 6X but want more speed so I'm interested in the VF 5X. It may just be a viable option...
The shaft feels quite stiff and heavy in the 6S and I found the results to be great with the 5. Swing weight and total weight are quite different parameters to me.
Almost feels like you could have been in 6S maybe for the Ventus Black since the dispersion was greater and spin was high? VF seems very promising on the numbers so far for you 👍🏼
Definitely a Ventus black 6S could have been better but I don’t generally get any ball speed out of it. I just decided to try and do a like for like comparison.
I have tried multiple heads and different shafts. I am not very shaft sensitive on fairway woods but am in driver. I can't find the center of any head with Ventus or Tensei. I can with Hazardus but it doesn't feel as good nor does the spin window consistency equal the Graphite Design. Graphite Design performs better for me and I find the middle of the club face more consistently and the spin/launch is better than any other shaft...again...for me.
@@nathaniverson6828 yes you can still get it but it isn’t advertised or stocked in the US. I should have been clearer on that. Anything can be accessed these days with shipping.
Hey im currently using ventus black 6x D4, too boardy and heavy for me and my shot all fade. Im thinking of vf 5x D2, any recomendation ? My swing speed 105 mph, but getting 220m+, with 3000 spin
@@LeoBeebe pretty hard to recommend without seeing a swing but I’d say that VF has more left bias. At 105 you may only need a stiff as well. X could be making it difficult to square the face.
I swing avg 107mph n good swings get to 111mph, i think i load the shaft on the medium hard side and transition on the slightly aggressive side of medium, do u think i can hit a vf tx?
Im sure you could hit it, but whether or not it’s good for you is another question. I’d say at your speed the TX would be a little on the stiff side unless you hit down and need a lot of spin control.
I do have a ventus black 7s that i dont love the feel of …i have to feel like i am really forcing the shaft to load in transition and sometimes i hit it higher than my currently my which is an ad di 6s … i think this happens because i have to swing so smoothly w di which it makes it go lower which is counter intuitive , di however has been feeling bit too wobbly lately…it would be nice if the vf felt somewhere in btw the two in terms of loading
I do respect him wearing a fujikura patch on his shirt and saying the vf was better. Although, I suppose he couldn't really say anything other than that after posting the results.
very niche comparison needed for us serious players, thank you

Sounds like an interesting fitting.

Thanks so much for watching. I’m glad I could help. 😃

It’s definitely worth a try. Thanks for watching.
Since you game the TSR3 driver, why not drop a 6g (-2g) weight in the head to lower the swing weight for a VF 6S shaft and see how that goes?

Have you tried the Ventus TR Black 5S? I'm wondering how it preforms/feels compared to the VF 5S.
Just got into thr Tour AD VF and loving it.
It’s a really nice shaft for sure.

Hi Greg, how does the vf compare to the ventus red 6s? You said the vf6s was too much, do you think the 6sr would be more user friendly than the 5s?
Think it would be helpful if you could also tell what swing speed the shafts suit
There’s no accurate guide but generally a 5S would suit somebody at 92-98mph. It can go higher and lower than that though.
You should have put it up against the TR Black?
Have you ever tested the GD MAD pro?
Seems a little cheaper than the Tour ADs
I haven’t hit the MAD shafts for years. They are definitely cheaper and I’m sure could suit some players.
Have you ever tried the Ventus Black 5x to get the stability out of the 50g range you are wanting?
No I haven’t done so outside the sim but it could be worth trying.

What is the difference in the VF and the DI because I'm in the market and was interested in those two?
I tried both, feel wise ventus black tr. But If playing like very windy condition VF is much better option.
TR Black doesn’t feature in this video unfortunately. Maybe one for the future.
Great review!!
Just got VF for my AI smoke. It’s replacing my Ventus black OG!
Enjoy 😊
How do you like that set up? Looking at the exact thing myself
Weird there is no ventus black 5s on the Fujikura website? Only TR shows as 5 s. Is it a website error?
Ventus black 5S is a Japan only product. Being in Australia we can access both Japanese and US models.
Bummer… that’s exactly what I would have wanted as the black 6s sometimes is a little too much weight.
You can get it American market you just have to special order. I have one.

I simply tell it how I see it. No outside influences here.
Thanks
Very colour coordinated with the red shoes with the gd shaft😂
It’s important to be matching 😂
Nice!!
Thanks 😃
What is that swing?
What about dispersion? I’m more concerned about hitting from the short grass compared to the junk.
Dispersion is shown in the video.
