I love anytime you guys test the light shafts. I managed to get myself into a Grand Bassara 29R for about $20, as it came in a TM M4 I bought, swapped shafts, and have that shaft in my G425 now. I've really started to love building up clubs with light shafts.
Just tried this in a GT3 head, R shaft at 45 inches. 67 yrs old losing club head speed now at 90 to 93 mph (4 to 5 Hip). This combo is super fast and straight. Very excited about this shaft.
I LOVE the idea of a lighter weight and softer shaft for some easy swinging power. Those of us in the 50+ crowd could reduce alot of the aches and pains associated with the required speed required to make stiffer / heavier shafts function. I have a $80 45g Graffaloy Blue in SR flex that I am dying to find a cheap head for.... Thinking something forgiving from older Ping G series as a guilt free experiment.
This shaft (GC) is very good. I was fit into it with a GT4 (weight back) and gained 17 yards carry over my TSR3 with DI 6x. Dynamic loft was consistent at around 18 and dispersion was much tighter. I’m excited to put it into play.
A head to head with other light shafts would be interesting. Like this ag33 vs Accra shogun blue or Accra FX 3.0 M0 140 and any other similar soft shafts
super interesting one....makes you wonder Ian, why not play the nice and easy and chip it around. The few you gave it a bit of gusto on weren't far off the 'normal' shaft in the game changer...
Would love to see a comparison: GC vs. Ventus Red vs. Tensei 1k Red vs. Hzrdus RDX red, etc. Maybe throw in Tensei 1k Blue, Diamana GT, TR Red, KBS as well
I've been searching for AG in the UK for a couple of months, didn't realise it was a new-ish model. Unfortunately I have some nerve damage that has slowed my swing. I've been looking at R2 flexes but want something premium. The GD CQ 40/50 or the AG have on paper at least has tweaked my interest.
I love Graphic Design shafts. I have VR in my driver (Ian you might want to give this a try for your VF replacement) IZ in my 3/5 wood, and IZ hybrid in my PDHY 4iron. I loved Ventus but GD shafts were eye opening once I got them in
Hi guys! I was just fit for a Titleist GT3 with a Mitsubishi SpeedMesh 40 (stiff). I am 55 years old and my swing speed is slowing down (84-89 at my fitting this week). Any thoughts on the Anti Gravity vs the Mitubishi I was fitted for? Any other shafts you like in this space? Thank you - and thank you guys for ALL the awesome content!
ians swing speed is visible on the screen. he was swining antigravity at 109mph. but I dont see why it woudnt work for someone with slower ss. but dont be fooled. he has a good swing. he can make any shaft look good. and I am sure he tried this shaft with many diff heads to make the numbers look good to make the shaft shine. so take everything they present to you with a grain of salt. at the end of the day he is just a merchant.
The GC is the new TP profile , correct? I think I heard one of the GD reps indicate that the GC replaced the TP. Which is in my wheelhouse since the TP was a great shaft.
Because most of youtube golf is astroturf nonsense. Every single youtube golf guy carrying the ball 300 is not real. Some can and do but its not that easy.
GC quad is measured just before impact and trackman is measured at impact or to be exact at the maximum point of compression. So with this in mind it seems obvious why the readings will be different
Ian, you have admitted you have had driver problems as of late. Im a huge fan and lots of respect ..but Why would you not put in the anti gravity shaft In your bag?? Is it ego? Not a hater, just a question. iv never seen u hit a shaft, easir, or straighter
My Driver has been awful recently. I’m pretty focused on fixing the underlying fundamental flaws rather than throwing an equipment change at it to try and fix the problem.
We’ve used GC Quad since we started TXG in 2016. All of our fitters have been trained using that and it’s still imo as good as anything in the market today.
I’ve gamed lighter Driver shafts in the past. It’s perhaps a tempo thing. In the bay my tempo is pretty consistent whereas on the golf course my swing gets shorter and faster in transition.
Just a thought, if on course swings and tempos are different from fitting bay swings. Doesn’t this put into question the whole validity of bay based fitting. I have had both great fitting and not so good. Needs a really good fitter and an honest customer, reporting how close the swings in the fitting are to normal course swings
If that player times softer lighter shafts well then definitely yes. Benefits would be high on club head speed, easier to square the face for a lot of golfers.
@@ianfrasergolf great thanks for the feedback I’m liking my driver but still struggling with some inconsistency. My next step is to take some lesson if I can find a good pro in my area. But this type of shaft might be something to consider trying over the winter in the bay sometime.
If you are just trying you might want to find a few other lighter options due to cost. Tensei Red, Aldila, Project all have light shaft options. GD is not cheap. I have a SS of 94-98 and can push it up to 102. Age 57, 3.3 Hcp. When fit Mizuno put me in a lighter and regular flex shaft. The GD DI was a want but for another $300 it was a costly upgrade. The Aldila Ascent Red shaft works great. They have a 40 version. Mine is 50. I don't work hard on this driver and it just goes (STX-230).
Ian’s “always open” to trying new products is a teeny tiny understatement! Lol
Big thumbs up for the intro alone!!! 🤣🤣🤣
That intro was great! 😂
I’ve tested this and the autoflex. This shaft is more stable and it’s super light. Not whippy like a autoflex. A must buy.
If I hit my driver with the AG33-3 Anti-Gravity shaft like Ian just did, when I was done I would have to go have a smoke. Straight 300+. Count me in.
Best intro in channel history 😂😂😂
Brilliant intro. Glad you guys can have fun.

Any experience with the CQ? I have 87mph swing in driver. Thx.
What is the Flex on the Anti-Gravity Ian demoed?
Regular

What’s that creaking noise going on at the transition at the top of swing?
Probably my back!!!

Would the anti gravity shaft be for a player that swings about 90-95mph? What benefits would I see if paired with a TSR2?

I'd like to buy a half a dozen just to lighten my bag.
Could you guys explain why GC numbers are so different than trackman? Or is it just being able to go harder at it indoors?
Because most of youtube golf is astroturf nonsense. Every single youtube golf guy carrying the ball 300 is not real. Some can and do but its not that easy.

Would the anti gravity shaft be good for slower swing speeds?
Do softer tip shafts tend to be more draw bias ? And reversed, do firmer tip shafts promote a fade ?
Yes I’d say most would experience that. Probably 80/20 rule
Is there a headweight you’d recommend with the AG shaft? Currently have TSR4 and weight set would love to try out
Can you try Newton shafts
Yes we have those to try
What is the logo on Mikey’s pullover?
Myrtle Beach Classic I think.
@@ianfrasergolf I thought so. Was he here for that? I am a member of The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
@@davidmann9022 yes he was down for the tournament. He and his family have played at The Dunes many times and absolutely love it.

Next time that he is here, I would love for him to reach out to me and be my guest for a round.

With such a light shaft wouldn’t a swing weight adjustment be warranted?
anti gravity? oh man, what's next in golf.
So what was the point, its almost a rerelease. Wa wa waaaa
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can appreciate the tag line "Korean Hidden Technology", but calling a shaft "Anti-Gravity" is just plain dumb.
Like all their shafts, I'm sure its just referred to as the GD-AG.
Not as silly as the full name of the upcoming GD DN shaft
