First off, I just wanted to thank everyone for the INSANE growth my channel has been seeing lately. This video was originally intended to be a 1K subscriber special, but I didn't manage to finish it before we hit 2K. The fact that my channel was growing that fast was astonishing to me, and I decided that I would just dedicate this animation to everyone who watches my content, as you all help my channel tremendously!

Such a small and subtle thing that further sells the camaraderie Sonic's built up with everyone.

I noticed that immediately. Yoshi does things like that, too--when Sonic went flying from the Breaker Beam attack, Yoshi grabbed him out of the air. Yoshi is a total bro in team fights.

Yeah you can actually see their dynamic during the fights. I also noticed things like this during brawl on a vanishing island with Shadow.

I like how this isn’t just a straight carbon copy of the original. There are a lot of changes here, and it still retains that familiarity of the old episode.

2:07 I can really feel how heavy the Luigi statue is and the weight of each hit everytime Fire Sonic swings...

Btw I'm been watching One piece so many times and a lot of episode so am asumming that those are from the SFX from Dragon Ball z. I love that SFX so much 💫

It's not as snappy as the original, but it tells a story, every movement has a reason and a set-up, it's "slower" but it puts an emphasize on showing why the characters move the way they do, methodical, it's good man, keep it up.
Not to mention Sonic Catching Mario. Good Teamwork.
Although the original is AMAZING

The characters do feel like they have more “weight” to them as it were.
This was nice man. I really like that little change at the end where Sonic caught Mario instead of them all just watching him fly.

For sure. I feel like if Mark were looking back on this that would be something he would do.
I enjoyed the change as well, but if it had gone down this way, they all would have been turned to stone.

@@SimonPlays93 Animating something like this takes a lot of time. Episode 2 is likely in the works since there are already previews of it, also, he seems pretty determined to do it.

You know that thing when your watching an extremely hype anime moment and you start silently physically losing your shit from hype? This gave me that!
The moment I saw this I started giggling and screaming and my family got really alarmed asking if I was okay

This is absolutely beautiful. The environment may not be the same, but I still enjoyed this regardless.
The environment is better imo. The original one was straight out of Kirby Super Star Ultra and was really low resolution.
One thing I applaud about this remake is how closely it keeps with the original's pacing. Alvin's greatest strength was the pacing and choreography of the fights he made, so keeping that in this is a plus.

I remember seeing this when I was extremely little. I’m a teenager in high school now, needless to say idk what happened to the original artist but this brings me back.
If you mean the original maker of Super Mario Bros. Z, they're still active. They're under Mark Haynes now instead of Alvin Earthworm. The first episode of the reboot came out a bit ago, and a preview for episode 2 a few days ago!

This honestly was one of my favorite scenes of this whole series.
I love the detail of Fire Sonic having the Super Sonic spiked up quills but he still can’t fly because this isn’t actually Super Sonic. It’s just cool seeing Sonic with his quills in that shape but running and jumping around instead of flying.

Seeing Sonic get a Fire Flower was the dopest sh!t ever to me as a kid and I could not have a bigger smile on my face when watching this. Absolute beauty from beginning to end.
This is proof of what someone can make when they really enjoy something, this is either on par, or better than the original in my opinion
I'd say quite on par. I do have a preference for the original especially because of its constantly very quick pace, but this one's undisputedly awesome too.
The fact that this is only just a fan made remaster goes to show how insane the real rebooted episode is going to look like. Thanks for the vibes!

This looked absolutely stellar, I felt like I was a kid again but also watching something new? It's hard to explain but it was a great feeling. I really love being an adult now and knowing that a lot of my fellow smbz fans have become just as talented.

I like to see Fire Sonic as an almost "Semi Super" form - his power has clear been boosted significantly, and, although doesn't have the invincibility of Super Sonic, definitely has at least a significant portion of what Super Sonic can do in some ways
This is the BEST reanimation Ive ever seen, the colour pallete on Fire Sonic is really fitting as well AND you managed to get some of the Sonic voice clips from "Sonic And The Black Knight" WHICH I NEVER FOUND BESIDES THE CUTSCENES AND DIALOGS.
Anyway,I just so happend to be an animator but just started a few days ago,I HOPE I get to be as great as you are bud.

Amazing remaster! not as quick and fast paced as the original fight in my opinion, but makes up for it in the sheer quality. Great work!
Not bad, the camera could be zoomed out more [especially on the Sonic segments. Too close to keep track of the action]
The choreography is super close to the original, but tweaked ever so slightly in certain areas to make actions more expressive, smooth, or impactful. Sonic's brutal attacks are still fast, but have an impact stronger than the original which I personally love. Mario and Yoshi's attacks are fluid and powerful, and Luigi's follow-ups are quick and decisive. Of course, the original animation had these traits looking back, but this recreation made me realize that.
Overall the animation is slower, but I'd say that the personality that's in it more than compensates.
Then there are small touches like Yoshi posing differently in the scene before he throws Luigi, his tongue unraveling from the statue as it spun, and Sonic catching Mario and being surprised alongside him when the Super Leaf fades.
In short, this is an amazing recreation that I'm sure even Alvin himself would love to see. Incredible work here.

that's what i missed more from alvin. alvin reboot and other animation have more graphic, but too much zooms and focus in single punches. this is full animation choerography, and I LOVE IT!
Very smooth and well animated. It is slower like another commenter said but you can more clearly see what’s going on.
I watched the original so many times that I remember every sound effect so it threw me off to hear the different ones you used here. I had to watch it a second time to appreciate how much your choice of sfx made more sense! I liked the metallic sound of Luigi’s hammer when he slams his enemy before laughing, Sonic’s barrage of fireballs no longer distorts my audio, and many more details.
It is half as fast as I I would like, but more than half as smooth than I deserve (props if you catch the reference).

I like how the interior of the ship feels more Eggman like since Eggman was the one that build the Ship for Bowser.

I didn’t realize how much I missed this until now...
The stuff that Sonic did with the Fire Flower reminded me of the Flame Ring from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but he didn't use the fire pillars and fireballs and Mario Bros. didn't exist in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I would imagine him doing the same thing in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. It's not quite exact.
You made me wanna rewatch marioz sprite fights again, this was awesome!
