I love the evolution of Tails being an absolute thorn in Nazo's side. Nazo went from "Alright, you're annoying" to "Okay, seriously!?" to full on "Listen here, you little shit!" over the course of the whole movie. Shadic may have been the one to kill him, but he'll definitely remember Tails the most.

Fun Fact: According to Chakra-X the Reason why Dark Super Sonic isn't doing any Proper Damage to Nazo is because they both consist of Negative Chaos Energy
Not only is this ridiculously impressive on it's own, but DX added their own spin to it. They changed up the fight choreography and even the lines. It retains what made the original amazing while adding a unique artistic flair. I cannot give the enough praise.
The attention to detail is crazy, you could have chosen to not make sonic’s hand broken during the light speed attack, but you kept it in the spirit of the original
Gotta say, I love the fluidity of the animation and showing this off to the next generation of kids so that they can get the feeling on how it was like for us when watching Nazo Unleashed for the first time
You ever get that feeling while watching this that it's better than the original, but nothing is better than the original? It's like re-experiencing it all over again.
coming back to this after almost 2 years, its still a masterpiece - the impact of every hit, the conveyance of power combined with the camera angles and overall stellar animation way beyond the original's all make for an experience much more compelling than the dragonball z the original was inspired by. I could compare it to the god tier sprite animations being made more recently by several talented people, but this more detailed medium is on a whole other level I didn't realise was even really possible from just one animator in the fandom. This is easily my favourite animation in the fanbase. The 24 year old autistic part of me loves how a good chunk of the sonic fanbase has basically come together to compare sonic the hedgehog to dragonball Z, and this is a prime example of why I love it so much. I will say however, towards the end when they're in hyper forms (it's already cool as fuck), theres a little confusion with the power scaling in that perfect nazo and hyper shadic were kindof even, and then nazo absorbed the super emeralds, and they were still somewhat even - i feel like that power up didnt really pay off. If I had written this, I would have had hyper sonic and shadow fight perfect nazo unfused until he became hyper perfect nazo, with that end fight maintaining the balance it had, while maybe extending it a little. Just to see more of them teaming up as a duo like the super form fight (which was also excellent and a highlight for me.) I had this issue with the original too, but what you have given us is near perfect (hah) and you deserve wayyyyyyy more attention. Thank you if you read all of my adhd thoughts
bro hyper perfect nazo is stronger than hyper shadic, they arent evenly matched and this animation forgets that, literally hyper shadic was going to lose the beam clash if it wasnt for tails and knuckles
The slide on 39:33 got me thinking; The way Shadic smiles deviously at Nazo gives me the impression that this is what Sonic and Shadow secretly craves in a world saving fight. No Giant Monster, Demonic Alien, Genie or Robot to fight. Someone just as Fast. Just as strong. But also just as Evil as their enemies.

This really recaptured the magic of seeing the original for the first time. Honestly, I'd say this is a major improvement over the og across the board. There was a constant stream of action that filled a lot of the empty space that had been in the original work. I also think Shadic's design and characterization is a major improvement compared to the original (though I find myself missing the rainbow hyper aura). Tails and Knuckles also felt much more active in this, which had them feeling less like spectators and more like actual relevant players that were just having to fight above their weight class. They clearly weren't the main spectacle, but you made their presences feel necessary to getting the dub in the end, which I really appreciate it. All in all, this is the version I would show someone if they'd told me they'd never seen Nazo Unleashed and that's honestly the highest praise that I can offer.

This could easily be a dragon ball legends legendary finish.

Christ man, there are some aspects I prefer in the OG and some I think work way better here, but this is hands down the best sticknode animation I've ever seen in my life Faithfully remaking a fan movie that was such a big part of a lot of people's childhoods must've been a very heavy task to undertake and, albeit with some liberties taken to achieve that goal, you absolutely nailed it and I felt like I was in primary school again watching this It'd be criminal of me not to give this a 10/10, same as the OG
I kind of adore the fact that during the lightspeed attack sequence, you went out of your way to keep the janky finger positioning. It's the little things.
The additional expressive movement for each character, the fighting choreography, and extra scenes especially with Tails and Knuckles- it's insane how much you improved the original animation, there's so much to see and rewatching it a few times never gets old. Especially love the Dark Sonic sequence, the dialogue from Sonic X with Eggman was a nice touch. Amazing work.

Sometimes I think and consider that this animation is the end of all Sonic X, the final closure. Although Nazo was supposed to be a discarded transformation of Sonic but Chakra X gave him a different role becoming a ruthless villain as Frieza and unleashing his perfect form as Cell. And showing us the fusion of Sonic and Shadow (not officially) that left us in our hearts

Dude it baffles me how you turned a 30 minute short into a 40 minute movie, this isn’t just a remaster, it’s a remake. Whole new attacks and scenes. This really inspired me, this is your best work yet man, keep it up.
This is absolutely amazing. I love the added scenes and sequences. They really add to the dynamic and clear up any uncertainties in Nazo Unleashed. Like how Tails and Knuckles shifted the tide of Hyper Shadic vs Hyper (Perfect) Nazo in the beam struggle.
I love all the slight nods to Dragon Ball with Shadic. The voice, the aura, the classic Dragon Ball opening-eyes-after-or-during transformation, the way he fights, the utilization of the grunt noises, his stance even, its perfect. Great job, DX.

You truly made this enjoyable and exciting to rewatch as a remaster for the millionth time of me watching the original, it gave me that same excitement that I felt years back watching this as a child almost becoming an adult in just a few days now. I love how this is more like Dragon Ball than the original one, it even has more anime like moments in it like when Shadic saved Tails and Knuckles and then had that iconic anime smile, and I love Shadic’s design, he is a lot more Vegito like with the Super Saiyan Blue aura (I see the inspiration there, nice design choice). It just looks a lot better to me And also before anyone says something, I did realise he has Vegito’s voice most of the time
One interesting thing is he illustrates the difference in Sonic and Shadow's strengths in their super forms.. ..Shadow is seen to be connecting more hits and doing more damage, even against Perfect Nazo he did a better job than Super Sonic, although still very much futile.
8:04 I wasn't expecting Eggmans line from the Metarex Saga of Sonic X. That's way better than Sonic thinking of Tails calling out to him before he dies.
Jezz, this like I'm watching the original all over again. This is truly an amazing piece of work and I can see the amount of effort put into it. Not only did you rebuild and sharpen the orignal short movie into your own style of animation, you went above and beyond to add new scenes, new and much more cohesive fight scenes, and I believe new dialogue too. You have our respect for being able to complete this stunning remake of a legendary internet project. I hope you are able to continue making awesome animations and to eventually create your own adventures and stories!
after watching this fan movie since chakra-x put it out, I FINALLY understood what Nazo said at 11:56!! Great choreography btw, taking something great and making it better.

Wow, at first I wasnt so sure I was going to like it, but you really knocked this remaster out of the park! The animation is great, I love the expressions, the extra and slightly different/extended fighting scenes, and taller anatomy you gave them all looks fantastic too. Amazing job!
god i love this, this is such a great remake of the original animation, not to mention its made in STICKNODES, that absolutely blows me away the animation, the effects and most importantly the angle work is insane, and i LOVE how dragonball this is, i know the original was somewhat inspired by dragon ball, but this makes it so much better. this is the best thing ive seen in a while and it makes me really happy
I love how this version took the time to take more inspiration from the newer Dragon Ball content, whilst also keeping what made this fan movie special which is what most remasters fail to do. Good stuff 👍
AYO THIS WAS SO HYPE!!!! I had a massive smile on my face from beginning to end! Extra scenes and fighting with incredibly fluid animation was just perfect. Of course the original is always gonna have a special place in my heart with nostalgia but this was absolutely spectacular! Also towards the beginning I just gonna say, Shadow, you might wanna be careful, your Vegeta is showing Edit: I seriously hope you consider doing this with Wrath Of Nazo when the full animatic gets released, considering the project was canceled. You’d absolutely nail it!
Outstanding remake. Dragged me right back to my childhood. I love the nod to the broken hand at 16:06, and I adore that Knuckles and especially Tails had a bigger hand in the fight. It does Tails justice for him to be strategically destroying those energy shots near the end. All in all, I'm amazed this was made in Sticknodes. Well done!
Also, maybe it's just me, but do Shadow and Sonic just look absolutely delighted while simultaneously looking UNHINGED when beating the doggone outta Nazo? I swear they did not look this excited or just look INSANEly ready to beat the crap outta someone.
If anyone is worthy of continuing the development of Wrath of Nazo, then this is the author of this remake. No one else has succeeded in trying to continue Nazo Unleashed (I've seen some projects - they are all abandoned, and the quality will never be able to match the original), but DXAnimations has every chance of success. The remake's style-minimalistic and simplistic-was troubling at first. But having overcome myself and started watching, I could not tear myself away from the screen and the rewind button to review some scenes several times. The style of the remake reflects the author's personality and compares favorably with the original. Directing and animation is the level of Moba Psycho 100 and nothing else. A dynamic camera flies along with the characters and constantly changes angles, allowing you to enjoy every moment (the operator clearly studied at the Top Gun flight school). The characters move quickly and smoothly, rapidly inflicting a bunch of blows on each other, running and flying. Each shot, explosion and strike has power and weight, makes you feel the impact and does not allow you to calmly look. The choreography of the characters reaches the level of martial arts films, which adds to the thrill of the battles. You just want to jump up and start an epic fight with a cool soundtrack. The music has also been reworked in an interesting way. A number of tracks remained unchanged, others were successfully rearranged (for example, a piece of the Live and Learn theme is returned to the main track and perfectly overlaps the final blow of Shadick and Perfect Nazo - Edgar Wright would appreciate it; the same from the theme of the second phase of Nega Wisp Armor - Reach for the Stars sounds inspiring at this moment and fits the context, because Shadick's beam just goes beyond the Earth's atmosphere, rushing to the stars; and if there is a topic that best describes the unity of the entire planet to defeat the ultimate evil, then this is it), new ones are added (the music from the Sonic Unleashed intro was asked for in this anime) and the theme of Gohan's Transformation was returned, which still sounds divine and without it, Shadick's transformation has lost a lot (yes, this is a cover version, but it does not become less epic). With voice acting and sound, everything is not quite perfect. The original voice acting has been preserved (which is nice), some phrases have been rearranged to better fit into the context, and new phrases (especially from Shadick) perfectly complemented his combined character of Sonic and Shadow - his self-confidence and arrogance are perfectly emphasized. The new sound effects also deliver emotions, as well as animation. But sometimes, because of the music, phrases are simply not audible and you have to strain your ears. This is worth working on. The plot, although at its core, is the same, but it was perfectly supplemented with new details: 1. Sonic's nod to Super Shadow, the facial expressions of the characters that make them come alive (Nazo's disgust at being shot by Super Tails (even with that same meme sound), his face slightly changed when Shadow goes into Berserk mode, the shock and horror of Perfect Nazo in the time of hyper-transformation of the hedgehogs (the movement of his eyes at this moment and the unchanging posture during the whole process allow you to feel his emotions to the fullest), Shadow's funny look when Sonic is about to strike from above, and his unspoken respect for the blue hedgehog, which he does very rarely, Shadick's face literally crackling with anger during the threats of Hyper Nazo) - all these little things complement the story and characters. 2. Due to the changed and expanded scenes, the action itself now feels more holistic, more thoughtful and more logical: 2.1. Tails rides Tornado, which allows him to get to his destination faster (and this is a great reason to make a reference to Sonic CD) and does not look ridiculous compared to the original; 2.2. Sonic rushes to save Tails when Nazo wants to hit him, and does not freeze, allowing this to happen, which feels more painful - the fastest hedgehog in the world did not manage to save his friend, although he tried; 2.3. It was Eggman's words to calm Dark Sonic, and this is the most powerful moment for the Doctor in Sonic X - he was damn convincing in his words and disappointment in Sonic. Which once again speaks of the mutual respect of the two enemies. 2.4. Characters no longer stand like idols and do not leave the battle from one blow - they fight to the last, investing all their strength and speed in the battle with Nazo; 2.5. Sonic and Shadow are planning something and Nazo does not hear it, which adds to the intrigue - given the change in the action scenes, it is completely unclear how they will now attack the antagonist at this moment. 2.6. Tails and Knuckles were no longer the Deus Ex Machine, who were only needed for the final blow and were quickly eliminated at the beginning of the battle. When it was no longer possible to hope for Sonic and Shadow, both simply activated their super-forms and entered the battle themselves, investing to the last to stop Perfect Nazo. This emphasized the power of antagonist and made the appearance of Shadick a truly climactic one - after all, Nazo was already going to finish off the fox and the echidna and there was simply no hope left. In the original, they simply stood powerlessly. 2.7. Shadick protects Tails and Knuckles, and then starts to fly as far as possible so that they do not suffer from a random attack - a real concern for friends. 2.8. Action scenes have become longer and more inventive in principle. And some are very different from the original - for example, first battle between Shadick and Nazo never goes into space, which is why the second stage with Hyper Nazo, when the action goes into space, feels like an increase in the stakes and epic, which stands out compared to the original. There Hyper Nazo's form wasn't given enough attention and looked like a re-skin for Perfect Nazo - a slightly different look, but no difference. 2.9. The final confrontation with Hyper Nazo itself is better staged - instead of throwing Knuckles at Nazo, Tails provides cover, preventing the sphere of darkness from getting even bigger with his shots, while the echidna himself supports Shadick's beam. At Nazo's furious look, Tails overcomes fear and responds with his firm expression - throughout the cartoon, he has matured a little from a minor threat to Nazo to a completely dangerous opponent who should not be underestimated. And when needed, the fox stood shoulder to shoulder with old friends. And the whole team, together with the will of the whole Earth (after all, before that it was shown that not only Sonic's friends give away the rings - all the inhabitants of the planet give them away, as small moments of animation show) defeats the ultimate evil. The feeling of an epic climax got an upgrade. It is easier to immerse yourself in the flow of what is happening and quickly begin to enjoy viewing. More importantly, I feel that I have not been able to mention all the details that I have noticed. Which shows the great work of the creator of the remake. Respect and love for the original animation from Chakra-X is very felt. This is expressed in the amount of work done on the remake (because I rarely saw SUCH fight scenes even among anime with budgets and studios) and the fact that you have not changed everything beyond recognition. You didn't even forget about Sonic's poorly drawn hand during the Light Speed Attack scene. I'm sure Chakra X himself approves of the remake. I liked your work, DXAnimations. I will return to it again and again, because it gave me as many emotions as the original from Chakra-X gave (and I reviewed it very often). I will follow your creativity, because you are amazing.
This was quite amazing! I love this Shadic’s design over the originals. And you actually gave Kunkles and Tails more to do then just stand around and watch. This be was quite the improvement. Great job!

I’m typing this as I watch. Constructive criticism and credit: The artwork for the original is way better, but the movement is CLEEEAAAANN. Once the drawing skills are better this dude is gonna be a top tier animator. The flashback to Eggman really adds to reasoning as to why he chose the super form over the slightly superior dark form. I love how he still animated Sonic’s broken fingers when he says “Too easy.” Mid light speed attack. Five Nights at Candy’s menu theme after hyper Shadic transformation.
Yeah I know this is a year old comment but legit there is nothing the original does better than this The scaling is consistent, the animation has endless flow and expression, there’s added scenes to make the writing of the original actually make sense, and need I say more about the extension of the shadic fight? From a subjective standpoint, I can see why you’d say the original is better, but like go rewatch it lmao it’s really bad at some points- especially the beginning It’s no fault of chakra-x, the animation is just a product of its time This evolved that animation ten fold by somehow making “less” detail look like way more This shit is peak Edit: the only thing this really needed to be 100% was the ring scene, and the near ‘de-fusion’ of shadic That shit was was cooler than him just kinda will powering the start of the blast battle, especially given the ring context The tension is “gone” when you see shadic absorb all the rings, but then the original shows there’s next to no time left when shadic drops his hyper form for a split moment, proving hyper shadic needed those rings to pop the fuck off If those two things were in this animation, the whole thing would be 100% (instead it’s a cool calm 95).
14:33 Shadow was actually thinking of doing a final flash-like move, but realized that the blast could've gone to earth's core and destroy it, so thats why he turned it into a DBS: Broly SSJ Gogeta-like move, to prevent that from happening.

25:53 I like how Nazo looks like he’s about to burst into laughter or is just amused. He knows that Chaos Super Shadow isn’t gonna leave even a mark on him. To him, this is just a tutorial to test his new form’s power before he blows up the planet.
I stumbled upon the final episode before seeing this. There are a few changes compared to the OG version and I gotta say... I love those. For example, Eggman being the voice of reason when Sonic goes Dark, just like in the show Sonic X. Really nice touch.
That was Super Knuckles actually. He can't go Hyper without the Super Emeralds. Tails is the only one that baffles me because he never transformed with the Chaos Emeralds in the past

I love how smooth Is It the Angles the movements their their expressions just everything, It always Surprises me just how far people can Go In sticknodes without any Limitations. This is a cool way to way re-experience the animation all over again.
What makes the Light Speed attack sector of this whole thing even better is Nazo actively tries to hit them with an energy blast, but then gets battered around like a Beach ball, it's beautiful craftsmanship with the Sticknodes animation
This was honestly so damn good, like reliving the master piece of the original all over again. I will say, I do like the original Shadic design better but this one fits really well too. I'd like to think if there was another way to fuse this design would be the result, 11/10 man.
From The Original Power of Nazo, to the Remake Nazo Unleashed, and now we have this.... Not gonna lie. I don't think I have seen a better Fan tribute to Sonic over the years. This version is amazing. Honestly I hope to see a more refined version in time. :) Something about it just feels special.
Honestly this animation is extraordinary, the smoothness, to the fact that these are stick nodes, I don't think I've seen any better sonic animation in my life, and the way you add different fight scenes is so cool 10/10

Hi! I LITERALLY found this video less than 24 hours ago. I remember watching the originial animation as a kid and I recall the impact it had left in me. M8, you just trippled that! Not only the animation is flawless and fluid but you have even 'filled out' the skips in the original animation, giving them more depths (like how Knuckles had horribly realised of Tails was dying but not dead; instead of Tails' last words snapping Sonic out of his Dark state, it was a quote from Dr Eggman from Sonic X - thumbs up for that one :D). And the fights are MARVELLOUS! And the body language and facial expressions? I have no words.

Not only is this ridiculously impressive on it's own, but DX added their own spin to it. They changed up the fight choreography and even the lines. It retains what made the original amazing while adding a unique artistic flair. I cannot give the enough praise.

coming back to this after almost 2 years, its still a masterpiece - the impact of every hit, the conveyance of power combined with the camera angles and overall stellar animation way beyond the original's all make for an experience much more compelling than the dragonball z the original was inspired by. I could compare it to the god tier sprite animations being made more recently by several talented people, but this more detailed medium is on a whole other level I didn't realise was even really possible from just one animator in the fandom. This is easily my favourite animation in the fanbase. The 24 year old autistic part of me loves how a good chunk of the sonic fanbase has basically come together to compare sonic the hedgehog to dragonball Z, and this is a prime example of why I love it so much.
I will say however, towards the end when they're in hyper forms (it's already cool as fuck), theres a little confusion with the power scaling in that perfect nazo and hyper shadic were kindof even, and then nazo absorbed the super emeralds, and they were still somewhat even - i feel like that power up didnt really pay off. If I had written this, I would have had hyper sonic and shadow fight perfect nazo unfused until he became hyper perfect nazo, with that end fight maintaining the balance it had, while maybe extending it a little. Just to see more of them teaming up as a duo like the super form fight (which was also excellent and a highlight for me.) I had this issue with the original too, but what you have given us is near perfect (hah) and you deserve wayyyyyyy more attention. Thank you if you read all of my adhd thoughts

This really recaptured the magic of seeing the original for the first time.
Honestly, I'd say this is a major improvement over the og across the board. There was a constant stream of action that filled a lot of the empty space that had been in the original work. I also think Shadic's design and characterization is a major improvement compared to the original (though I find myself missing the rainbow hyper aura).
Tails and Knuckles also felt much more active in this, which had them feeling less like spectators and more like actual relevant players that were just having to fight above their weight class. They clearly weren't the main spectacle, but you made their presences feel necessary to getting the dub in the end, which I really appreciate it.
All in all, this is the version I would show someone if they'd told me they'd never seen Nazo Unleashed and that's honestly the highest praise that I can offer.

Christ man, there are some aspects I prefer in the OG and some I think work way better here, but this is hands down the best sticknode animation I've ever seen in my life
Faithfully remaking a fan movie that was such a big part of a lot of people's childhoods must've been a very heavy task to undertake and, albeit with some liberties taken to achieve that goal, you absolutely nailed it and I felt like I was in primary school again watching this

The additional expressive movement for each character, the fighting choreography, and extra scenes especially with Tails and Knuckles- it's insane how much you improved the original animation, there's so much to see and rewatching it a few times never gets old. Especially love the Dark Sonic sequence, the dialogue from Sonic X with Eggman was a nice touch. Amazing work.

Sometimes I think and consider that this animation is the end of all Sonic X, the final closure. Although Nazo was supposed to be a discarded transformation of Sonic but Chakra X gave him a different role becoming a ruthless villain as Frieza and unleashing his perfect form as Cell. And showing us the fusion of Sonic and Shadow (not officially) that left us in our hearts
This animation is peak. I m truly happy that people didn't forget about Chakra X and Sonic Nazo Unleashed. It is truly a shame that Chakra X stopped producing the Sequel of Nazo unleashed. Dude it baffles me how you turned a 30 minute short into a 40 minute movie, this isn’t just a remaster, it’s a remake. Whole new attacks and scenes. This really inspired me, this is your best work yet man, keep it up.
I love how creative this guy was and add little extra things to it that wasn't even in the original video. It's just overall cool!
This is absolutely amazing. I love the added scenes and sequences. They really add to the dynamic and clear up any uncertainties in Nazo Unleashed. Like how Tails and Knuckles shifted the tide of Hyper Shadic vs Hyper (Perfect) Nazo in the beam struggle.
I love all the slight nods to Dragon Ball with Shadic.
The voice, the aura, the classic Dragon Ball opening-eyes-after-or-during transformation, the way he fights, the utilization of the grunt noises, his stance even, its perfect. Great job, DX.

I love how this is more like Dragon Ball than the original one, it even has more anime like moments in it like when Shadic saved Tails and Knuckles and then had that iconic anime smile, and I love Shadic’s design, he is a lot more Vegito like with the Super Saiyan Blue aura (I see the inspiration there, nice design choice). It just looks a lot better to me
And also before anyone says something, I did realise he has Vegito’s voice most of the time
One interesting thing is he illustrates the difference in Sonic and Shadow's strengths in their super forms.. ..Shadow is seen to be connecting more hits and doing more damage, even against Perfect Nazo he did a better job than Super Sonic, although still very much futile.

Not only did you rebuild and sharpen the orignal short movie into your own style of animation, you went above and beyond to add new scenes, new and much more cohesive fight scenes, and I believe new dialogue too. You have our respect for being able to complete this stunning remake of a legendary internet project.

Outstanding remake. Dragged me right back to my childhood. I love the nod to the broken hand at 16:06, and I adore that Knuckles and especially Tails had a bigger hand in the fight. It does Tails justice for him to be strategically destroying those energy shots near the end. All in all, I'm amazed this was made in Sticknodes. Well done!

If anyone is worthy of continuing the development of Wrath of Nazo, then this is the author of this remake. No one else has succeeded in trying to continue Nazo Unleashed (I've seen some projects - they are all abandoned, and the quality will never be able to match the original), but DXAnimations has every chance of success.
The remake's style-minimalistic and simplistic-was troubling at first. But having overcome myself and started watching, I could not tear myself away from the screen and the rewind button to review some scenes several times. The style of the remake reflects the author's personality and compares favorably with the original.
Directing and animation is the level of Moba Psycho 100 and nothing else. A dynamic camera flies along with the characters and constantly changes angles, allowing you to enjoy every moment (the operator clearly studied at the Top Gun flight school). The characters move quickly and smoothly, rapidly inflicting a bunch of blows on each other, running and flying. Each shot, explosion and strike has power and weight, makes you feel the impact and does not allow you to calmly look. The choreography of the characters reaches the level of martial arts films, which adds to the thrill of the battles. You just want to jump up and start an epic fight with a cool soundtrack.
The music has also been reworked in an interesting way. A number of tracks remained unchanged, others were successfully rearranged (for example, a piece of the Live and Learn theme is returned to the main track and perfectly overlaps the final blow of Shadick and Perfect Nazo - Edgar Wright would appreciate it; the same from the theme of the second phase of Nega Wisp Armor - Reach for the Stars sounds inspiring at this moment and fits the context, because Shadick's beam just goes beyond the Earth's atmosphere, rushing to the stars; and if there is a topic that best describes the unity of the entire planet to defeat the ultimate evil, then this is it), new ones are added (the music from the Sonic Unleashed intro was asked for in this anime) and the theme of Gohan's Transformation was returned, which still sounds divine and without it, Shadick's transformation has lost a lot (yes, this is a cover version, but it does not become less epic).
With voice acting and sound, everything is not quite perfect. The original voice acting has been preserved (which is nice), some phrases have been rearranged to better fit into the context, and new phrases (especially from Shadick) perfectly complemented his combined character of Sonic and Shadow - his self-confidence and arrogance are perfectly emphasized. The new sound effects also deliver emotions, as well as animation. But sometimes, because of the music, phrases are simply not audible and you have to strain your ears. This is worth working on.
The plot, although at its core, is the same, but it was perfectly supplemented with new details:
1. Sonic's nod to Super Shadow, the facial expressions of the characters that make them come alive (Nazo's disgust at being shot by Super Tails (even with that same meme sound), his face slightly changed when Shadow goes into Berserk mode, the shock and horror of Perfect Nazo in the time of hyper-transformation of the hedgehogs (the movement of his eyes at this moment and the unchanging posture during the whole process allow you to feel his emotions to the fullest), Shadow's funny look when Sonic is about to strike from above, and his unspoken respect for the blue hedgehog, which he does very rarely, Shadick's face literally crackling with anger during the threats of Hyper Nazo) - all these little things complement the story and characters.
2. Due to the changed and expanded scenes, the action itself now feels more holistic, more thoughtful and more logical:
2.1. Tails rides Tornado, which allows him to get to his destination faster (and this is a great reason to make a reference to Sonic CD) and does not look ridiculous compared to the original;
2.2. Sonic rushes to save Tails when Nazo wants to hit him, and does not freeze, allowing this to happen, which feels more painful - the fastest hedgehog in the world did not manage to save his friend, although he tried;
2.3. It was Eggman's words to calm Dark Sonic, and this is the most powerful moment for the Doctor in Sonic X - he was damn convincing in his words and disappointment in Sonic. Which once again speaks of the mutual respect of the two enemies.
2.4. Characters no longer stand like idols and do not leave the battle from one blow - they fight to the last, investing all their strength and speed in the battle with Nazo;
2.5. Sonic and Shadow are planning something and Nazo does not hear it, which adds to the intrigue - given the change in the action scenes, it is completely unclear how they will now attack the antagonist at this moment.
2.6. Tails and Knuckles were no longer the Deus Ex Machine, who were only needed for the final blow and were quickly eliminated at the beginning of the battle. When it was no longer possible to hope for Sonic and Shadow, both simply activated their super-forms and entered the battle themselves, investing to the last to stop Perfect Nazo. This emphasized the power of antagonist and made the appearance of Shadick a truly climactic one - after all, Nazo was already going to finish off the fox and the echidna and there was simply no hope left. In the original, they simply stood powerlessly.
2.7. Shadick protects Tails and Knuckles, and then starts to fly as far as possible so that they do not suffer from a random attack - a real concern for friends.
2.8. Action scenes have become longer and more inventive in principle. And some are very different from the original - for example, first battle between Shadick and Nazo never goes into space, which is why the second stage with Hyper Nazo, when the action goes into space, feels like an increase in the stakes and epic, which stands out compared to the original. There Hyper Nazo's form wasn't given enough attention and looked like a re-skin for Perfect Nazo - a slightly different look, but no difference.
2.9. The final confrontation with Hyper Nazo itself is better staged - instead of throwing Knuckles at Nazo, Tails provides cover, preventing the sphere of darkness from getting even bigger with his shots, while the echidna himself supports Shadick's beam. At Nazo's furious look, Tails overcomes fear and responds with his firm expression - throughout the cartoon, he has matured a little from a minor threat to Nazo to a completely dangerous opponent who should not be underestimated. And when needed, the fox stood shoulder to shoulder with old friends. And the whole team, together with the will of the whole Earth (after all, before that it was shown that not only Sonic's friends give away the rings - all the inhabitants of the planet give them away, as small moments of animation show) defeats the ultimate evil. The feeling of an epic climax got an upgrade.
It is easier to immerse yourself in the flow of what is happening and quickly begin to enjoy viewing. More importantly, I feel that I have not been able to mention all the details that I have noticed. Which shows the great work of the creator of the remake.
Respect and love for the original animation from Chakra-X is very felt. This is expressed in the amount of work done on the remake (because I rarely saw SUCH fight scenes even among anime with budgets and studios) and the fact that you have not changed everything beyond recognition. You didn't even forget about Sonic's poorly drawn hand during the Light Speed Attack scene. I'm sure Chakra X himself approves of the remake.
I liked your work, DXAnimations. I will return to it again and again, because it gave me as many emotions as the original from Chakra-X gave (and I reviewed it very often). I will follow your creativity, because you are amazing.

The artwork for the original is way better, but the movement is CLEEEAAAANN. Once the drawing skills are better this dude is gonna be a top tier animator.
The flashback to Eggman really adds to reasoning as to why he chose the super form over the slightly superior dark form.
I love how he still animated Sonic’s broken fingers when he says “Too easy.” Mid light speed attack.

The scaling is consistent, the animation has endless flow and expression, there’s added scenes to make the writing of the original actually make sense, and need I say more about the extension of the shadic fight?
From a subjective standpoint, I can see why you’d say the original is better, but like go rewatch it lmao it’s really bad at some points- especially the beginning
It’s no fault of chakra-x, the animation is just a product of its time
This evolved that animation ten fold by somehow making “less” detail look like way more

Edit: the only thing this really needed to be 100% was the ring scene, and the near ‘de-fusion’ of shadic
That shit was was cooler than him just kinda will powering the start of the blast battle, especially given the ring context
The tension is “gone” when you see shadic absorb all the rings, but then the original shows there’s next to no time left when shadic drops his hyper form for a split moment, proving hyper shadic needed those rings to pop the fuck off
If those two things were in this animation, the whole thing would be 100% (instead it’s a cool calm 95).

Actually that was based on an actual attack from the video game series: Chaos Arrows. It’s seen in the super form battle of the Shadow the Hedgehog video game.

I stumbled upon the final episode before seeing this. There are a few changes compared to the OG version and I gotta say... I love those. For example, Eggman being the voice of reason when Sonic goes Dark, just like in the show Sonic X. Really nice touch.
Was surprised to see Hyper Knuckles and Super Tails in the part 2 section instead of at the final hurrah. Love that you gave them more time to shine
That was Super Knuckles actually. He can't go Hyper without the Super Emeralds. Tails is the only one that baffles me because he never transformed with the Chaos Emeralds in the past

I love how smooth Is It the Angles the movements their their expressions just everything, It always Surprises me just how far people can Go In sticknodes without any Limitations. This is a cool way to way re-experience the animation all over again.

What makes the Light Speed attack sector of this whole thing even better is Nazo actively tries to hit them with an energy blast, but then gets battered around like a Beach ball, it's beautiful craftsmanship with the Sticknodes animation
This was honestly so damn good, like reliving the master piece of the original all over again. I will say, I do like the original Shadic design better but this one fits really well too. I'd like to think if there was another way to fuse this design would be the result, 11/10 man.
From The Original Power of Nazo, to the Remake Nazo Unleashed, and now we have this.... Not gonna lie. I don't think I have seen a better Fan tribute to Sonic over the years.

I remember watching the originial animation as a kid and I recall the impact it had left in me.
M8, you just trippled that!
Not only the animation is flawless and fluid but you have even 'filled out' the skips in the original animation, giving them more depths (like how Knuckles had horribly realised of Tails was dying but not dead; instead of Tails' last words snapping Sonic out of his Dark state, it was a quote from Dr Eggman from Sonic X - thumbs up for that one :D). And the fights are MARVELLOUS! And the body language and facial expressions?
I have no words.
So, now do we wait a few years for you to make a "Nazo Unleashed Remastered Dx"?

This was absolutely incredible, I'm absolutely amazed that all of this was made in Stick Nodes. It's such a incredible skill that I honestly believe is among the highest. You did absolutely insane with this whole animation, the amount of time it probably took is definitely paying off with the whole thing. You killed this, it's better than the original to be honest, great work with this
