Yea I keep hearing that no-lye relaxers make the hair have a hard time absorbing conditioners because of the calcium deposits that no-lye relaxers leave!
Ugh, so frustrating. How about Creme of Nature products? They have that new bond mender that seems to be getting good feedback. Maybe you should give it a try!
Hi Alexis!!! New sub here and I love how informative your videos are. I’m starting a self care journey and part of that is I’m focusing now on the health of my hair. My hair is sort of transitioning right now, a lot has broken off and my hair is badly damaged. I also have recently been struggling with a lot of dandruff. I have quite a few questions that hopefully you can answer. 1. I notice you didn’t mention anything about a regular conditioner that often pairs with the shampoo you use. Is that something you just glazed over because it’s self explanatory or do you just skip it all together? 2. Is there a deep condition that combines both the moisturizer and protein element? Or is it still preferable that you use one of each to see the full benefits. 3. How often do you use the two minute reconstructor? Could you use it as the protein deep conditioning element or is this a separate step? 4. For the moisturizer I would like to wear my hair fairly straight most days. But you mentioned water based moisturizers are more essential than oil based. Is it possible to keep your hair straightish when using an oil based moisturizer? Is that why we are told to brush our hair in like a cone like fashion? Or is that just for volume? 4. You mentioned the sealing oil, but what about oil for your scalp? Is it necessary? Or is the sealing oil enough? Sorry for the long comment... thanks!!!
Trying to being minimal with my curly hair but I deep conditioning once a week...specialy..with summer here use head wraps..my hair grows fast..and thick..i try to drink alot of water.
I can't get with hot oil treatments either. Oils don't moisturize, so it makes no sense to put them on before shampoo. If it's to counteract the stripping effects of shampoo, then get a better shampoo.
So I thought you were going to follow up on your last upload regarding how your texlax/relaxer session went. Great info though. I use Kenra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
Wash and deep condition once per week. And I'll sometimes cowash in the middle of the week if I need a moisture boost. I'm still working on getting my regimen together, but when I do I'll be sure to post more specific directions on what I do! Xoxo
Honestly, for me I feel like prepooing is a waste of time. I moisturize throughout the week so why would I add to that build up just to wash it out and then deep condition (again). Just seems counter productive to me 🤷🏽♀️
Hey babes! We're back with another hair vid, woooo! What are some of your MUST-HAVE products in your hair regimen? Asking for a friend lol. Xoxo!

It helps with detangling
Prepoo is such a stupid name to me LOL
Bianca it is but it is such a great idea and yields less hair breakage. Let’s just call it detangler infused with oil 😭
