@@mermidion7552 That's not who I saw Viktor as in my book. So far, the only personality trait he has is "always pissed off". Unless if the writers go into specifics into his personality, I'm not gonna be invested in him.
You can see Rocky’s comedy mask slip a little at 0:39, before he goes back in with more sillies. I like that attention to detail, Rocky is brittle when people stop paying attention to him.
It’s definitely a reminder of how desperate he is for love and affection. You can see similar moments in the comic, with Mitzi after the pig raid and in the car ride with Ivy after his head injury. It’s heartbreaking seeing how broken and depressed he is. I hope that at the end of the comic he can find the love and affection he deserves

I kinda wish that had made it in, too, though I understand they have to cut stuff for the sake of pacing and just, animating even those few seconds is a lot of work.
I was out of touch with the comic for quite a few years, so I didn't even know that it was getting an animation until the full pilot episode randomly showed up on my feed *the day that it dropped.* What a wonderful surprise it was!

I never lost faith in this becoming a series after seeing the flood of fanart was made based on the pilot that blew up for over a year now. It's been long overdue for the Internet to finally appreciate Ivy and Freckle's relationship.

I'm so looking forward to seeing Ivy's first encounter with Freckle at the restaurant in animated format and their interactions in future episodes. Ivy: "Do you mind if I sit here? ...Because you must be the cutest thing this side on the river. Are you trying to hide?" Freckle: (timidly hides behind his sandwich) "...No."

The fact that Rocky looks at the road maybe twice for the duration of this conversation cultivates an ideal ambience... of steadily building anxiety. (Seriously though, this is remarkable! The adaptation decisions are so much fun to track.)
I've been following Tracy's comics for well over a decade now - seeing it come to life in beautiful traditional animation warms my heart. And witnessing its resounding success feels like watching an old friend receive their well-earned roses.
This is one of my favorite scenes from the comic. You can see Viktor's perception of Rocky change from annoying idiot to dangerous idiot with one pyromaniacal line. Viktor gets somewhat hostile, I think because he worries that Rocky will put Ivy in danger.
Thank you for showing a character that forgets a word mid-conversation. I didn't realize how often we don't see that in media despite someone like me struggling with that happening often. I feel seen and it makes Rocky feel much more realistic.
I did think I remembered hearing that would be the case. Either one is ultimately fine but I was hoping more for it to be a companion series with a separate story or at least a continuation.

Same, except I’m rather fortunate to have bad enough eyesight to require glasses with green eyes. I just so happened to acquire a trench coat this season, it’s done me well. All I need is a good vest and red tie to really sell the look. But im not sure. You’d need the personality to perfect it.
The pilot came out when I was a sophomore in high school and I fell in love with it the day it came out. Now I’m a senior and am very excited to see what the full series will look like. I can’t wait!

Wow... I've read this part so many times and it still feels so amazing to just watch the scene play out and with the characters speaking instead of me having to imagine it 😭and the animation looking as beautiful as I hoped 💖
I’m so excited to see these episodes kick off! This fandom and show helped me through a health issue a bit ago, so I hold it really near and dear. I had a horrible concussion and dealt with post concussion syndrome, and was bed ridden for about 2 weeks, so I got the Lackadaisy book, and read it over and over, as soon as I could read without it hurting my eyes. The warm colors made it really easy to read, and I was so excited to find out about the pilot releasing, this show is so amazing overall, and I can’t wait to see what comes out next.
Wow, this series is absolutely incredible! 🎉 The animation is stunning, the storytelling is so engaging, and the characters feel so real and relatable. Huge kudos to everyone involved in bringing this masterpiece to life! Can't wait to see what happens next! 👏✨
The moment Rocky’s mask slipped when Victor turned his attention away from Rocky was a heartbreaking reminder of how desperate for attention and love he is. You can see similar moments in the comic, like Mitzi’s frustration after the pig farmers attacked the speakeasy. Even with his constant optimism and comedic antics it’s mostly a mask hiding a broken child. I hope Rocky finds the love and affection he deserves at the end of this comic.
I'm so looking forward to Season 1 of the series to give a huge exposure to Ivy and Freckle's relationship (which ended up canon). As an OG fan of the series, their dynamic together is genuinely heartfelt and sweet. While the pilot contained brief moments of Ivy and Freckle's relationship, it quickly become popular online and the furry fandom. I've always felt sorry for the guy in the comics but Ivy's presence around him always felt heartfelt.
As someone who read the entire comic after seeing the pilot for the first time, this is beautiful to see. I am worried from where episode 1 is starting from (Haven't read in a while so I don't quite remember time-wise when this scene happened), hopefully nothing is cut, and it would be awesome to see some new scenes.

Really hope we get a Lackadaisy Valentine's Day short which adapts the "Valencrimes" comic from 2022 where Ivy is depicted as a cupid-like robber who takes hearts and shoots Freckle with hearts in the process.
Weird how there’s only been a single episode, about three to four miniature episodes, and a few premonitions by glitch, and the hype is still going crazy. Thanks for putting so much work into this even as animators are at such danger nowadays by big corps and AI. Hope to see the episode whenever it comes out.

Wow... I've read this part so many times and it still feels so amazing to just watch the scene play out and with the characters speaking instead of me having to imagine it 😭and the animation looking as beautiful as I hoped 💖

I’m so excited to see these episodes kick off! This fandom and show helped me through a health issue a bit ago, so I hold it really near and dear. I had a horrible concussion and dealt with post concussion syndrome, and was bed ridden for about 2 weeks, so I got the Lackadaisy book, and read it over and over, as soon as I could read without it hurting my eyes. The warm colors made it really easy to read, and I was so excited to find out about the pilot releasing, this show is so amazing overall, and I can’t wait to see what comes out next.

The moment Rocky’s mask slipped when Victor turned his attention away from Rocky was a heartbreaking reminder of how desperate for attention and love he is. You can see similar moments in the comic, like Mitzi’s frustration after the pig farmers attacked the speakeasy. Even with his constant optimism and comedic antics it’s mostly a mask hiding a broken child. I hope Rocky finds the love and affection he deserves at the end of this comic.
I'm so looking forward to Season 1 of the series to give a huge exposure to Ivy and Freckle's relationship (which ended up canon). As an OG fan of the series, their dynamic together is genuinely heartfelt and sweet. While the pilot contained brief moments of Ivy and Freckle's relationship, it quickly become popular online and the furry fandom. I've always felt sorry for the guy in the comics but Ivy's presence around him always felt heartfelt.
The animation is smooth as butter!! 😭❤ so excited for the first season!!

Really hope we get a Lackadaisy Valentine's Day short which adapts the "Valencrimes" comic from 2022 where Ivy is depicted as a cupid-like robber who takes hearts and shoots Freckle with hearts in the process.
Weird how there’s only been a single episode, about three to four miniature episodes, and a few premonitions by glitch, and the hype is still going crazy.
Thanks for putting so much work into this even as animators are at such danger nowadays by big corps and AI. Hope to see the episode whenever it comes out.
