It’s a good side hustle. I live in nc and legally your allowed to sell five cars a year as a private citizen and the cool part is they never ask or report the amount the vehicle is bought or sold for because they do the property tax based on the cars value according to some other resource like kbb or an insurance average so there is never a paper trail to how much you made 😅 i personally deal all cash and put it in my safe so Uncle Sam doesn’t know or couldn’t prove it existed😅😅
I have been buying and selling used cars for 22 years. I have only seen cars this dirty in my life on RUclips videos of car cleaners. I have never seen a car this dirty in real life.
6-7 years ago I've flipped about 20 cars only with a little bit of work (oil change, detaling, brake, tires,...) maybe I start do it again, in Switzerland we don't have a limit of purchase pro year 😉
Most important thing you can do is make sure that interior is clean. It’s worth it to pay $150 for a interior detail. To get that extra grand out of it! Smelly interior is #1 turn off
How did you go about creating your own line of cleaning products? Are there consultants that you would contact and who are in contact with chemists, and manufacturers? Thanks in advance.
nice techniques, is expensive in Connecticut to inspect, register, insurance but if buying at low price and selling a little high usually helps to make some extra $$$. great content.
Great flip! I'm a car guy myself. Specifically a Honda guy. I currently drive a 2014 CR-V EX-L (same thing as this civic, but different body style and size). I definitely would've used some more steam on this car given the condition of everything. Especially on.the interior trim bits and carpet stains. Honestly those carpets that Honda uses are pretty weak and I personally would've just tossed that one and installed brand new carpeting myself given the condition of this one. That said I think there were also some areas of the carpet that could benefit from a lot more cleaning. Overall it's better but definitely needs more advanced deep cleaning to be 100% clean and perfect. Now, you said the body was rough? I didn't see it so I can't really comment on that but I do know that Hondas are very prone to rust and if there is any it should ideally be treated asap to prevent any further progression of it. You also didn't mention anything about the mechanical condition of the car. Does it run? does it not run? If it does run then have you been through all the gears? Does the automatic transmission still shift good? How many miles are on the car? Has the car been well maintained? If the mechanicals check out good or even if it does need some work it's totally worth fixing. They don't make them like they used to back then and if it runs and drives and you get all the mechanicals fixed and the frame of the chassis isn't all rusted out then it will make a great car and sell for a great price. What you got is okay but I've seen them sell for a lot more depending on the condition of the car. Looking forward to more videos in the future! Nice job!
That carpet looks so plush. You can tell right away it's going to clean up nicely! How long did the entire interior take to clean not counting drying time? Trying to gauge my efficiency in my details.
I would've used a steam cleaner on most of the plastic interior pieces. I'm assuming you don't have one because you would've been using it too. It softens up all the hard candy stuff and kills all the bacteria.
It’d be nice if people included what they’d have to pay in taxes in their profit margin. No one ever does that. We know that flipping cars for profit is taxable income so, it’d be nice to see how to factor it into one’s assessment of vehicles to flip.
Not exactly true, in Indiana you can sell 5 cars per year before you are required to get a dealers license, if a person is a dealer then you need to report the income, if you transfer the title into your name it is personal property and if you made profit it's irrelevant, the only problem is if you deposit over $10,000 the bank is required to create a paper trail of how you acquired the money.
Take vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and club soda, make a solution out of it in a bottle. Spray the stained area, I.e., carpet, seats, use your drill brush and scrub. Let it sit for a few minutes. The steam vacuum. You can thank me later. Good work!

I was drinking my Dr. Pepper when 8:07 jumped up in my face 😂🤮
hahahaha tasty
You did an amazing job but I think you should invest into a steamer. Based on other detailing videos, a steamer can take your work to another level
this is the first car I drove. so cool to see it being clean
Steam cleaner would help you massively with the hard plastics 👍👍
Great work. I own 98 and 2005 civics. Amazing daily driven cars.
I love detailing it’s so satisfying I’d have done definitely tackled this one
Glad you enjoyed it!
Please! More flipping !
deal!
Eeeew I wouldn't have let my tools even touch those moldy rubber parts. Soak them in a bucket with solution first and use a disposable brush on them first, then use the good tools. Great job by the way.
Bravo sir!
Something I will never understand how come that such car owners let their cars reach such a terrible condition!!!!!!
idk either... the smell of this thing was so gross
pigs
I was wondering same thing
Probably a pretty good reflection of how they feel about themselves.
I have been buying and selling used cars for 22 years. I have only seen cars this dirty in my life on RUclips videos of car cleaners. I have never seen a car this dirty in real life.
Bro probably made back his money just from the change under the seats 💀
Amazing as always
Thank you! Cheers!
That vehicle was equivalent to a septic tank you cleaned it up great. Profitable job.👍🏾😎
It's been a while since you bought the car to flip it. Great video
Yeah thanks! Plan to do more since it seems like everyone is enjoying them
Damn they really left behind an entire ritz sleeve🤦🏽♂️ big mistake
I had a free lunch ;)
I cannot believe the quality of that carpet , like shag pile compared to todays crappy carpets even in premium cars great job as always
6-7 years ago I've flipped about 20 cars only with a little bit of work (oil change, detaling, brake, tires,...) maybe I start do it again, in Switzerland we don't have a limit of purchase pro year 😉
Lucky! You should!
I can imagine how their house will look if they can't keep a car clean. Good job
Most important thing you can do is make sure that interior is clean. It’s worth it to pay $150 for a interior detail.
To get that extra grand out of it! Smelly interior is #1 turn off
Good stuff 🔥
How did you go about creating your own line of cleaning products? Are there consultants that you would contact and who are in
contact with chemists, and manufacturers? Thanks in advance.
nice techniques, is expensive in Connecticut to inspect, register, insurance but if buying at low price and selling a little high usually helps to make some extra $$$. great content.
I'm surprised you don't remove the carpets and pressure wash them.
I would say a small dust pan with a brush would help more on the big stuff rather than picking them one by one. 😂
Amazing!
you should do more flip cars like this.
I agree, it was fun!
Amazes me people who try to sell a car on web and never even clean it at all. Would sell a whole lot better if they just clean dash and vacuum
The extractor dumps looked like you had dredged the Mississippi. Insane change. Congrats!!
Yes! Thank you!
Amazing work
You should really use a steamer more, it'll help a lot, especially with cracks and harder to reach spots!
Bravo 😮
Nice job!
Great work nice, loved your content and subscribed just now.....
Where do you get these deals from??
I haven't watched your videos in a while but your edit in this one is amazing.
Is it wise to disconnect the battery while doing this, or are most buttons pretty resilient to water?
I’ve never had an issue with buttons
It was so satisfying seeing you detail the car and clean every ounce of those dirt stains using that steam sucker.
Nice work Jimmy!
Thanks!
Shew - that’s wild!
When spraying any substance to the speaker, does it not mess up the quality of the speaker?
Welcome back, missed my weekly dose of stauf 🙏👍
Class work as always 👌😎
Heck yes! Thanks for tuning in this week! Like the flips? Want to see more?
That carpet looks so plush. You can tell right away it's going to clean up nicely! How long did the entire interior take to clean not counting drying time? Trying to gauge my efficiency in my details.
I heard 5 hours at the end. Wow. That's a LOT faster than I could have done that. I need to up my efficiency!!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I would've used a steam cleaner on most of the plastic interior pieces. I'm assuming you don't have one because you would've been using it too.
It softens up all the hard candy stuff and kills all the bacteria.
Great job!
Thanks!
As an ex car salesman, it beggars belief how people don’t realise how much money they lose by not cleaning their car before trading 🙄
carpet replacement would have been my choice lol but i get the point
Good video. No intro delay, nice.
🤯Insane transformation! That was actually a really good idea. Keep up the good work👍
Thanks! Will do!
Good morning from Flagstaff, Arizona
Morning Michael!
Take vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and club soda, make a solution out of it in a bottle. Spray the stained area, I.e., carpet, seats, use your drill brush and scrub. Let it sit for a few minutes. The steam vacuum. You can thank me later. Good work!
The funny part of my life is that I earn a lot of money, but I love detailing and do it as a hobby for friends and others. It gives me a lot of satisfaction. I also love watching it...
Surprised i didnt see the steamer come out to play on this one.
Good work!
Could you eventually paint the carpet not entirely but like small coats of paint to make it even better?
Yes you could 100%
Not bad return on investment for short ownership. What could you have done to get a higher return, was there anything that could have net more money?
Love the channel
Quick question, with all that process, does the smell goes completely or there's risk it comes back even after deep cleaning the interior?
I’ve owned two of these gen civics
Trust me, this car ain’t worth $1000, $500 at best, these cars are known for leaking head gaskets and overheating, happened on both of mine
I totaled the first one and the second one I sold at Carmax for $2000 with like 200k miles lol
I like how you made a hypocrite out of yourself by saying it's only worth $500-1,000 in one sentence and then say you sold yours for $2,000 with a bad head gasket!
Why not take the carpet completely out the car and do a super clean on it? I see alot of detailer remove seats and center consoles, you might as well go ahead and take the carpet out so you can blast it with a pressure washer!
