Most people are probably not going to have a whole set of rims or an ECU lying around. Not a fair assumption considering he could've sold the wheels, knuckle and ecu. All parts off a car can be sold for the right price and condition. Probably made around 500$ realistic profit
Well done. However you should add the cost of your parts stash in the final cost. You would of had to buy them if you didn't already have them sitting around.
Always, always count the costs of those parts even if you think they aren't worth it to the final with the labor hours so you know exactly if you made profit or not. Not doing so devalues your labor and existing stock. I hate when people use the term flip, unless you just spit shined it and sold it to a better buyer, it's not really a flip. This also devalues the work put it. You made a profit by putting in the work and got compensated fairly, depending on how you rate your work to begin with - that is a great skill put to work. The buyer also got a good deal because he paid for that work not to be done in a shop or his own time.
