Frist let's go
@adriandommm1681 Honda Civic EX. It's a 6th Generation Honda, but there's no specific year of when it was made. It's around 1996-2000 though.
Purchased mine😍
@adriandommm1681 oh there's coupes and sedans everywhere, just might depend on your area of where you live
I want this car for my family, I'm from Philippines 😊
some of y'all guys seem to forget this channel is about SIMPLE builds. affordable work done in a fine way, good enough to maintain with a slim wallet and in my eyes a car of which you can be proud. nice work
thank you🙌🏾
Well said
AGREED. If they wanna modify it to oblivion, that's the WINNER's JOB.
Facts
Amen. Like 90% of us out here.
some yall salty, this dude been giving away cars for a long time now for how many subs he has. To do a kswap like this cost close to 10k and yall mad about the carpet, the next owner can spend the $50 and spray paint the interior. You did a great build as always man, keep up the great work!
@@fearless4720 appreciate that bro! Hahah
Puts a smile to my face when I see people restore cars, doesn't matter how they modify them or what car it is, I have a 84 vw mk1 rabbit Convertible, took a year to restore mine, but it's running and restored, some small interior pieces are cracked like the radio piece and the handbrake left side bolt is missing, but as long as my car gets to relive its glory days, its worth the drive
I love these late 90s models Civics. I still own a 98 Civic DX. I'm the original owner with 227k miles and she still runs good.
I remember coming home from high school one day and my mom and dad told me to open the garage. It was a 98 civic 4dr lx black. Man this takes me back. Awesome video.
The brake calipers in black perfectly matched an modern OEM style. Also, the manual transmission made it a truly Sport car. Great job!
One of the best generation Civics ever built. Thanks for giving her a second chance at life! Great car
An Angel loses its wings everytime someone paints a good pair of white wheels black
Truuuuueeeee
Domo-kun is unleashed anytime wheels are painted
Ugh hate white wheels. They scream ‘garage diy’ to me
@@coderexe30 And black wheels don't? Lmao
Yeah those white wheels looked good but it seems a lot of people love black wheels these days.
There is something about a mid 90s honda. The fact that it's so simple and just works is a comfort in today's day and age.
I was channel surfing and came across your video, I love watching car restorations and personally, your content is far better than I have seen so far. You practically work and replace almost everything that needs to be replaced. and also notice the attention to detail that you are doing. I just subscribed to your channel and will be watching more of your uploads.
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoy the videos 🙏🏼
recently bought my first ever Honda, a pretty rough but good running 91 2dr Civic hatchback with the original (I think its a D15B2?) with a 4 speed manual. I've always had old 60s-70s Fords before, so working on these cars is new to me. I've already got it cleaned up nicely and looking better, but hopefully I can learn more about good upgrades and swaps then end up with something nice like this over time 😁
This is a ton of hard work. Mad respect from one car enthusiast to another
Many of you complaining about the carpet truly are miserable… It may be stained but it has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Learning to appreciate what is, instead of wishing for what could’ve been, will help you better appreciate life.
Exactly brother
Couldn’t agree more, ppl act like if the next owner really cared about it they couldn’t just dye it or completely replace it or repair it further when they get possession of it
Amen to that!
First time watching a show from this channel. Automatically my favorite channel now.
@@jeosua thanks so much!!
Man it's insane to me how an economy sedan from the 90s can look so fresh with just a few mods. The front end is CLASSIC tuner style. EK is such a sick design
It amazes me how the old cars have been preserved without rust
I have my '99 civic I pulled out from buddy's backyard. Paid $400 and y8 block later still going strong 6 years later.💪
This reminds me of my 99 civic LX. Had it as a commute for 4 years. OEM parts were dirt cheap when I had to maintenance it. But all in all, super reliable. I miss that car
There’s so much you can do with a few bucks, time, patience and passion. Nice job.
One of my good friends in high school had one if these in 2000. Brings me back to driving around when we'd get out of school early and go play 007 GoldenEye.
My heart sank when y’all rattle canned those white wheels, they were so nice, whyyy😢 Great vids though, love this channel, I think different music could really elevate your vids brother. All love
Dude I’ve been watching him do “simple builds” for years now. They are just that.. simple builds. He doesn’t usually engine swap cars. So to get a free ek body civic with a k24 is a win win. I always love his builds from the super simple to this one. Keep up the vids man
@@ManjiMedia86 Thank you so much!! 💙
If it was that dirty inside the car and you whent that far to pull it apart why not remove the carpet to clean it properly let alone look underneath it seems a bit of a waste of time but I guess it's the next blokes problem
CIVIC 00,
The best car I've had, Honda worked a miracle, built durable and a lot of fun.
I will remember the rest of my life.
excellent transformation, from water to wine. I follow your videos and I really like them, congratulations, God bless you. a hug from Brazil 🇧🇷
Was wondering how all those leaves got inside the center console 😂😂 was like geeezzz, lol. Loved to see the vid one of my fav civic gens
I wish I own this car, its gonna be my daily drive, you guys are awesome, putting smiles to your fans out here
I can watch these all day! So dope!
Great build. I like the time and effort you all took to bring this once dream build back to life.
Man this really came out beautifully. What an awesome transformation and turn around for this civic. It’s a whole new ride and beast of a ride at that. I love it!! You guy’s did phenomenal work and jobs on this ride. The cleanest restoration and give away yet. 🤩 fantastic work to everyone who helped work on the car and transform it. And as always SMPLBuilds you guys did outstanding on this one.
Thank you so much!!
Ви молодці! Гарна робота! Мене колись був Civic EG 1993 D15B2 converted to D15B7 by myself).
I love older cars being restored. The way they drive is something that a 1.2 turbo petrol will never do
Somthing about this just makes me happy. Brought back to life forsure
Awesome job man. Well done. 👏😎
All the way from South Africa & i just want to say this is a great build🙌🏽😎
Proud of you all, great work
The transformation is sick a lot of hard work and it shows. Great job fellas💪🤯
Love watching an old car get love
Late night watchin these rebuilds hit different
You can really tell when a car has been waxed before it sat... that dirt comes off so easy. Literal proof of why you should maintain the bodywork
Super clean and K powered 😍✊🏻💪🏼
Dude this is Owesome work
Best car ever made
Good job Man!
Super awesome restoration, followers from PHP.
i love the build and i feel like it needs a wing, great job on the car man
Amazing transformation 🎉
I have questions...a lot of questions.
1. Cleaning carpet without taking it out and checking car body for rust inside the car?
2. Wheel discs painting isn't good at all.
3. Gear box painting? For what?
4. What's wrong with the hood? (why does it installed crookedly?)
P.s. It's my first visit here, so I may not to know smth.
He didn't paint the surface of the rotors that the pads touch, but yeah, this was kind of a sloppy spray paint everything kind of job. Not restoration; and I guarantee in a few years, lots of things will be flaking and look like shit. Especially the plastic parts he spray painted.
It's a budget build giveaway car, noone's going to spend thousands of dollars on a give away car...... They also didn't paint the disc just the center hub. The hood isn't crooked it has risers on it to clear the new engine because the K motor is taller than the original.
@@ch1959 It's good for now though, it's a giveaway car, noone is spending thousands of dollars just to give it away, when that paint starts to flake off that's on the new owner to fix, It's also not a car show, it's a daily driver project that someone can put a little bit of money into every week-month and work on it while they drive it.
Love the build and the sleeper look
Never paint mating surfaces on suspension or brake components. Them guys should have taped those off before painting or cleaned them off after.
Good video, looks like fun doing that restore
We need more of the GTi content, some of us are here for it
@Vee_Smash check out my community post here on YT about the GTi
it’s totalled
Who won it? Love it
its great to see this car saved and made even better
Anyone in Germany who washes their car at home and does not have an approved washing area with an oil separator. Can result in penalties of up to 50,000 euros. That's around $63,000. That's why no one buys car wash products here anymore.
That's why i hate living in Germany place sucks
@@BigLikeDaNose You are still a child, and one with a migration background, who has a different culture than the German one. You don't seem to understand that a country with almost 85 million inhabitants needs rules and laws to regulate coexistence. This particularly applies to nature and its protection. If you do not want to accept this and act against us, we will impose appropriate penalties or deport you in accordance with Section 2 of the Foreigners Act
@@BigLikeDaNose you are not in germany Kiddy.
If you shorten the intake pipe a few inches on the throttlebody side, it'd probably fit better in there
Very great work 👏 the only thing is I'm just seeing this channel to get a chance to win it . But overall great job ! 💯👌🏿
Congratulations bro, almost for the 250k subs. I’ve been following your channel since you had about 50k subs and I think what you do is so cool. I’m in this giveaway now, let’s see if I’m lucky.✌🏼🙏🏼
This is not cold air intake🙈
Great job of course.
This guy needs more love for his videos. This is one of the best quality car restoration videos I've seen in a while. Give more love🙏🙏
@noahsanchez2093 Thank you Noah!!
@@SmplBuilds Your welcome man!!!
Nice restoration but i wished you had kept the white wheels
Man, I'd love it if my car could get a makeover like this.
Here from the Motor Club! 🏎️💨This thing was WORTH the wait. So sick!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Why is the air intake facing back ?
Just out of curiosity since I had a civic like this in the past and never saw something similar
Thank you
that is a real head scratcher. pulling hot air from the back of the engine compartment is insane.
Good question. All that hot exhaust air around there...
If you look he had hood risers so cold air is getting forced into the engine bay started at the rear. Intake is as close to the rear opening as possible for coldest air.
This isn’t a race car…calm down lol
@@pattayperformance You have absolutely no idea how air, airflow or air pressure works, do you? Lol
@@Darren_Martin don’t be stupid…
Helps with venting hot air 🫡
I have seen you paint over rusted materials. I would like to ask you something. Won't the products that have rusted before rust again afterwards? The rust will continue under the paint.
I can’t believe how much work went into this. Impressive skills!
really nice but what about the rear drum brakes? I'm sure they needed a little more than just a coat of paint...
It need A LOT more done to it but a good starting point. The rest is cosmetics really. I would of changed out that entire carpet though inside, cleaning it was not enough. Needs seats, color matched side skirts, grill, front lip, red/clear tail lights etc.
Saw it first through the motor club! Nice transformation on this civic. Can't wait to see the new excited owner.
I really hope I'm the new owner! I could use the A/C!
@tekzilla1354 only time will tell. 🤞 just hope it goes to someone who will enjoy it and not just sell it.
Something about cleaning up a classic Honda is just so pleasing. Wished I saw this video earlier so I could have entered on the giveaway
Love the format of these videos man been following for a minute always killing it, I see an upload I click it’s that simple
13:17 I think this is the first time I have ever seen a car fitted into an engine
Grande lavoro, bellissimo risultato
My only gripes are the black wheels and that you could've upgraded to rear disc brakes for about $100. Apart from that, solid, simple build👍
Please dont spoil the finished product in the begining of the video
this literally my dream car since im 6y.o and watching this content. im so happy:) thanks for the content! love from indonesia!
That is pretty sick, especially the color. Only suggestion would be wheel spacers, just to dial in the fitment. Whoever wins it will be very happy.
This is not a Simple Build.. it's awesome
With the fast turn-around and simple scope it turned out really good. I am curious though - was there a problem with the hood hinges? There's still a pretty aggressive sloping panel gap between the back of the hood and the front quarterpanels at the end.
Thanks. It has hood risers to fit the K
This is Cleaner than Mimes 😂
Great Job. Just Black spoiler needs to fit.
You should hook up all those subwoofers into one subwoofer enclosure in the trunk 😅😂 I saw about 7 subwoofer 😅
Curious if it was harder or easier to pull the suspension and steering parts with the sub frame down. More access, but the car is not holding everything in place.
Old headlights were fixable, sand with 800 and 1000 grit then use good automotive clear coat, did my Honda Fit years ago, look new again
Makes me wanna go buy another civic. Love the video.
Man you killed it 4 months of work shheeeesh a job well done!!!!!
Yep it is simple cuz the only worth stuff of that ek is the k Swap, nothing else nothing.
this is my most favorite civic design ever.
If I was 16 again, I would kill to have this be my first car. Well done!!
did you do chain guides, thermostat and water pump etc?
Early access gangs looks amazing and sounds great
Fr
Всегда смотрю на такие чудесные превращения с восхищением!😊
Nice build. Why is the hood nut flush near the windshield?
No need to paint the rims black completely ruined them
Wow, this giveaway is a dream come true! I've always admired [mention the specific car and why it's special to you]. Winning this would change my life-imagine the adventures and memories I could create! Thanks for the opportunity and for making your content so enjoyable and inspiring. Whether I win or not, I'm just grateful to be a part of this awesome community! 🚗✨"
So relaxing to watch this. How much did it cost you all-in? What parts were bought to change the old ones? Also, did you reuse all those axle components?
@@rafburigs9799 full build videos on my channel! :)
About $15k or so all in
Awesome work guys! Good luck, everyone!
great video! u can change the gearbox from auto to manual??
Very nice swap and rebuild. If I were to win, I'd defo get the carpet changed, the couple paint scuffs touches up and maybe find out if it's possible to switch the air intake so it doesn't need the hood risers but all in all, very nice job, indeed!
Oooh and well edited!
Super nice job! Someone has a sweet ride now. 🤙
I have a 2006 Dodge Durango and it had rust underneath and spots it’s been hit in the front and back not to bad though. How much does it cost to get this done to it ?
