Exactly. And the fact that Throtl puts so much effort into the actual mechanic work of the car and not just goofy cosmetics. Like I love that they don't go overboard but do all the stuff that you'd actually need. Timing belt, gaskets, starter, etc.

The Throtl team is seriously a class act. I wish I had a car worth a Dream Build but it's cool watching other members of the fam have their dream come true. @@Skippa21I’m almost positive they do. They definitely wouldn’t just put random things on someone else’s car without getting an idea of what they want it to be like first. I also remember them mentioning something in the BRZ one about what the guy said he wanted, so I’m pretty sure they do get input, it is their car after all

I was in High School when this generation of Prelude were new and I was absolutely in love with them. I still think they are pretty underrated and overlooked cars.
I am glad I found this channel. I also have a fifth GEN prelude. I’ve put a lot of work into it. It was one of my dream cars that put tears into my eyes. I’m not going to lie that made me really happy. Those guys did a outstanding job coming from a person that had nothing to work my way up to see stuff like this makes me happy, I am glad there are groups of people out there that go out of their way to make people happy I salute all of you❤️

Almost identical to the 99 Prelude I used to have, except mine had the factory spoiler, a different carbon fiber hood, and I had 18” Advanti Deneros on mine. Such a clean car! Congrats!!!!

I wanted to hate on leaving the door jams unwrapped , but Red/White/Blk is my favorite combo on cars.
All the Dream Builds are great, but this one seems to be the biggest impact for the owner. The humility and gratitude was awesome to witness!!
I just want to say that y’all really impress me. I live the fact that when you do these dream builds it’s not just lipstick on a pig. You take the time and effort to ensure the car is mechanically sound ! Way to go !

You can tell how insanely excited she is. This is a really awesome build, the guy seemed kind of shocked as well at the transformation but more on the quiet side, i am like him as well

A lot of other channels just change the cosmetics but do nothing to the mechanics of the car. You definitely extended the life of that car.

@@fireblow44 i understand that. There’s not a whole lot of expression to my reactions either but these dudes are doing such a nice thing and need to create content to keep it going. Just think exaggerating the excitement a little would be the least they could do for them.
Delighted that your dream builds are not just a body kit and wrap and that's it "a la Pimp My Ride" but it is in fact a legitimate build, INCLUDING much needed maintenance! Thumbs up!
I've owned two of these Preludes and have loved both. The attention to detail you guys give these dream builds is amazing. Like for instance putting undercoating spray on the undercarriage and repainting the strut yolk. You guys definitely gave her Lude the best treatment on the build. Shelby you are a lucky girl! Enjoy!

@@chuck1622 yeah I noticed that, the roof gap was still red, and the engine bay could’ve been sprayed black or something, the whole bay was already stripped. Still a dope build though.

coming from a 4th gen lude owner, really happy to see that the ludes are starting to get more atention, I like to call them the middle child of honda, great build as always cant wait to see whats next.
I had the same car, got it as an automatic, the transmission failed, so my brother and I converted it to a manual. I drove it for another 15K miles and sold it for $3,200. Neither one of us are mechanics, there are a lot of Honda lovers who post videos, we did the entire conversion by watching RUclips videos.

Such a big missed opportunity for Honda. Imagine a H22 turbo RWD gen 5 Prelude. That would have been a direct competitor for the S15.
Man I've had ludes since 15 years old about 11 years now never owned anything else have a rwd lude build going down as we speak ! Honda would have made a killing if the ludes came rwd such dope cars so much more classy then the average ass honda civics
Nope. It's actually one of the best front drive sport compact cars ever made. I'd never have mine RWD over front wheel drive. I'll do AWD.

I like that you actually fixed the regular car issues like the starter and the seals. Wish MTV could have been bothered with some of that when they did pimp my ride. But the show was more for them than for the actual participants.

It's the whole package: looks, sounds, and driving performance! The only thing off, is the unwrapped door sills/jams. Everything is looking absolutely epic, until you open the door, and all you see is the factory red paint that doesn't match anything on the car anymore.

Take my 1990 300zx tt please! Disabled Military Veteran! A dude ran a stop sign in Las Vegas and damaged the side/ front end. (I have the police report) Dude had no insurance. So my Z is collecting dust in storage. It still luckily runs. Bless all the fellow Sailors stationed in Sandy Eggo, California! 🫡 🇺🇸 🌎

This was the first thing I noticed, such a let down and really just makes the whole thing look cheap.
This is why I hate wraps. It stands out like a sore thumb.
Man, that year Prelude (along with the 90-93 Prelude) have always been my favorite body styles. I had a 1986 Prelude 2.0 Si (the first year for PGM-FI) and it has the A20A with the five speed manual. I have always wanted a 1993 Prelude with the H22A and the five speed manual, but they're hard to find in the northeast that aren't completely rusted or trashed by Fast and Furious wannabes. I was 18 when the first Fast and Furious came out and I had a 1992 Acura Integra GS at the time. It was black on tan, but I swapped a leather interior into it, I detailed the entire car, I put a full Sony stereo system with four Orion Cobalt 10" subwoofers in a custom enclosure, a Soundstream Reference 1000 watt amp, a Sony 10-disc CD changer, I slammed it with 17" chrome rims (cool at the time), and I built a turbo kit out of junkyard parts for it. The turbo itself was $50 from a junkyard and it was a T3 Dodge Daytona turbocharger and after I rebuilt it, the car made 257 whp at 15 psi. I had some semi-slick tires on the front with a LSD in the transmission and a 1320 Performance clutch in it. It was fairly quick and would take out most performance V8 cars in my area in a drag race, or even a roll race, but the only vehicle I couldn't beat in the area was a fully built brand new Ford Lightning with the 5.4 supercharged with full bolt-ons and a 5 speed swap. That dude would whoop on me every time. I blew my transmission trying to race him in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania. It was black with 20" chrome rims. Whoever you are, touche bud!
Rega wheels would look nice on this prelude.... Hmmm the door jam & bay kinda spoil it a lil bit & wheels looks cheap... Its just my opinion
Yeah, the red interior really throws it off. Wheels look OK, but there are wheels that I think would look better for around the price of those.
You should do a PT cruiser. I know some of that has a cool one that could be fixed up.
Terrible Idea to wrap it. Should have just painted it. Especially since you can see so much of the red through the wrap.. door frames. Made this build feel cheap
