Best Miata exhaust is made by Goodwin Racing. The Hemholtz pipe takes away the low frequency booming drone, and leave the mid and high tones untouched. You can hear the nicer tones without headaches and hearing loss from low frequency.

Wow, that’s what I enjoy about this channel, you guys actually do the mechanical work of all the maintenances that is required to make it a functional car. A lot of channels just do the exterior but leave the engine and what’s under the hood alone. Great job! He’ll definitely get another easy 100K miles on that car.

I love how rebuilding an engine is just like filling your windshield fluid for most people here. RUclips has made it like engine maintenance is nothing, Quinn’s a great mechanic. Keep crushing it brother.
Glad you guys chose framerails. One of the first things I did to my NA. Really help tie the front and rear together, since there is no roof to help do that.

Sweet build. Looks very clean and has all the bells and whistles to get on the track and go hard. Aluminum radiator, super sticky tires, some sound for hearing shift points, pedals for heel/toe, tight shifter to avoid miss-shifts, bigger brakes for consistent and fluid/pad temps, brake lines help heel/toe & threshold braking. I’d certainly enjoy that lil machine. Super hair dryer status

Watching this is getting me so much more hyped to transform my truck. Been watching various videos of cleanups on cars like this. I'm gonna manual swap mine as well gonna be beautiful ❤️.
Those brass bushings for the shifter are great at first but they wear pretty quickly and can leave the shifter feeling a bit sloppy. The factory nylon bush gives almost the same level of feel but lasts a lot longer. They do crack, eventually, but a Mazda shift bush should give 10+ years of life before needing replacing again. The same might not be true of the brass one.
Anyway, great build, good to see you doing all the 'usual' bits of maintenance. Also as a UK MX-5 owner, I'm extremely jealous of how clean and rust-free this one is underneath!

By the way - you’re supposed to install the sway bar end links with the suspension loaded so it has no load on the bar when on flat ground

as someone who knows very little about cars but loves watching these videos… do the brakes you install work good for regular daily driving? because ik putting the fanciest brakes on may not work best at slower speeds and lower temps
If it’s a one of one varis build it can’t be black blue silver white red yellow as they’ve been done to death. Sema brings the best custom paint jobs. Last years Corazon sti was chrome plated with a floral etch print looked amazing with blue rims.

Amazing. Always great work! Question. I detailed my tires with lettering, but jealous narrow minded person burned and cut and is pulling the letters off while parked in my own driveway at night…any recommendations to protect side walls from extreme heat for when tires or lettering is replaced?
Dream cars everywhere I love watching intense builds. Layoff screwed me but ima get another El camino and plan to do something stupid weird. A rwd k20 swap with quad stacks and make a Drifty Camino . Hoping it be so light weight but durable that I can whip the rear end super easy have fun but also have that better gas mileage then throwing a big block in it for drag

My dream build car, which I've already started building, involves a Porsche Cayman from bumper cover Integrated into the stock Miata cover (2000). It has begun....😁😁😁 No fiberglass, just polyurethane molded into like flexible OEM materials.
Rear bumper cover will also be made with an exotic cover Integration. Side skirts to come. No lowering of vehicle but keeping stock height with 18 inch wheels.

Great build guys! Proper miata priorities such as maintanace, grip, brakes - awesome.
Though since the auto has 4.1 diff and 6speed has 3.9 or 3.6 I would add a more suitable gear ratio torsen2 diff to make the car even more balanced and not driving the owner crazy on the highways ;) And a rollbar for safety. Bucket seat and snapoff dished steering sheel for the tall guy ergonomics ;)
Then it's ready for a superchager/turbo kit!

Get rid of that HOT AIR intake sucking air from EXHAUST headers. I had them before in same Miata model. OE is actual Cold Air intake and sucking in air from fenders area away from hot engine bay.

Ok, question please, Im in the UK and the main cars ive known about growing up are obv' the GTRs, the Zs, Toyotas and Honda. Ive tried looking for a Miata to see what the price range over here is. I know its an MX5, but is it just a spec of the MX5,😊 or is that what they actually are if that makes sense. Because I couldht find Miata's where I looked? Please help me out ladies and gents. The carbon fiber side skirt kit, and under body rail kits have dilled holes to rust up the car quickly. Make sure those holes are sealed up with non shrinking sealers.
