hey, old drag racer and aircraft mechanic here... I would double check with weld on installing the ARP beadlock bolts.... its been a while but in pretty sure you want to use anti seize, arp bolt lube or something. with slicks , because they are changed out quite often...and because aluminum and steel are dissimilar metals... might save you from "gacking" up the threads in the wheel.

This is an excellent example of the concept of diminishing returns. I'm NOT saying this to cast shade. The expensive tire setup is demonstrably better, 5 hundredths can be the gap between winning and losing on the drag strip. That said, those 5 hundredths of a second cost $9000. Something that'd be very cool to see is that once both vehicles are in their complete form, to switch back to the stock wheels and tires and run times. At that point, is when the true difference of stock vs $1,000 vs $10,000 would be on full display. Cheers Donut Crew! This is an enjoyable series.
Which is better is never in question, the series only seeks to illustrate whether it's worth it to you. For my level of interest and finances it's never really going to be worth dropping an extra $9k for a potential 0.05, for a professional then it's a no brainer to buy the best of the best.

Honestly, a Donut certified car that I think Jimmy would love to lead on, Suzuki Samurai. I saw one earlier today where someone had a kick ass exhaust, lift kit with big tires, it sounded like the engine was tuned/turbo’d, honestly another off road season would be really fun

I haven’t watched the rest of the video after they discussed the tire about halfway thru, but my guess is sure it he 10k tire setup might not be much of a difference, at stock. But add some boost and more power, those 10k wheels will 100% be beneficial
Most fast small tire cars these days use radials, but low car would have to invest a ton into a proper 4 link setup to really be able to lay the power down consistently with the radial
16:49 one time my buddy and i were working on his car and i overtorqued the caliper mounting bolt in the front. Had to drive 2 hours across town to a dealership that had the bolt. He kept trying to tell me it was fine and he would drive home and take it easy. I was like dude...the amount of physical force applied to these things in operation, you'd be lucky if all that happens are ruined pads but i can definitely see your entire front hub grenadingonce the bottom bolt breaks loose and jams the caliper in motion. $20 now for a bolt or $2000 in about 20 minutes in parts.
Love the vid and appreciate the business guys! The one test you need to do is a 15" radial. The radial will always be quicker. But you left out the quickest tire. A mickey 275/60/15 radial pro. And if you really want to get crazy , you could do the hoosier 28x10x15 DBR radial as well. Mickey also has a 15" pro bracet radial. All 3 of those tires will be quicker than the slick and the quickest overall tire.! Of course swapping out 3 sets of wheels with that many passes would be alot!
Getting Mustangs for this season, was probably one of the best things they could've done, a bunch of Mustang lovers and haters or there, these videos will put on numbers. Also the addition of Steph helps.
