At stock power, by far the most important thing you could do is tires, which is done, followed by losing weight as much as possible. Everything else isn't going to matter until you're making way more power than these cars are likely gonna make even at the end.
That makes sense. You clearly know more than I do, but I've seen instances like this in other performance areas where the nicer parts can actually be a bit less capable until the rest of the system is in place to truly take advantage of them.
I came to say the same, the additional rotating mass of the Fatty's will make a huge difference it's always a game of rotational mass to just enough grip

With the low amount of power in the mustangs the height of your drive tire is going to affect the final gearing of the car and help it accelerate better. I believe low car does have a shorter tire on it, hence why low car is faster
could also be that the fat slicks are more tire than they need and the larger contact patch is slowing them down as it tries to pull away from the prepped surface on the back side
They did say having a taller spring will make the weight transition take longer, so low car being lower allows the weight of the car to be transferred to the rear wheels faster. Add the smaller tire that low car has and yeah, the suspension is helping it accelerate faster.

Yeah, low car will be faster... High car doesn't the power for it's tire and suspension package... The negative of adding more friction is you have to have the power to use that friction. Low car has a better tire and suspension package for its power output. Its never about how much you spent on X, its about how much you have spent on the entire package.

This is the most useful high low yet. Not just for drag racing but also for general modification. The other series just weren’t realistic with the vast differences in quality/ fitment. 2015 mustang gt owner here. I enjoy HPDE tracking and have no interest in drag racing, but I greatly enjoy having the modifications explained on my model car and seeing the results. I just watch the Subaru high low for tracking mods learning, minus the engine blowups.
All these mods impacts are muted by having lower power. Should have gone big power as the first step then you’d likely have seen dramatic improvements from all these supporting mods each step
Even a bolt on supercharger with heat exchanger stack should have been a better upgrade for this round. Is high car gonna get a crank mounted procharger, that's the real question
Exactly. When these cars have huge power, the better suspension may end up proving itself, but that won't be easily spotted or measured once the cars have gotten to that stage.

@16:19 Yes, it is VERY hard at home 😂. I changed the my diff gears in my driveway and I had to drop the entire exhaust, remove wheel hubs, half-shafts, drive shaft, and do a balancing act to get it down. A lift would’ve 1000% been a blessing 😅
I work for a company called 4wdpro in eastern PA and I used to be the lift kit/suspension installer. Seeing you guys struggle with it was so validating. I honestly hated that position after a few months. It doesn’t matter how many times you do it it can still be a pain. Rewarding to see the finished product though.

That's not really worth mentioning. They probably know, from their time at donut, what the optional release times/days are. Most channels post around noon.
They'll probably adjust in the future. No way they don't. There's no reason to fully adjust when your going to have to adjust later when you make more power and modifications, you typically fine tune if your at the end

Every season of HiLow makes me think “I could do most of that work myself…not the suspension stuff, but I could do most of these mods myself.”
Suspension is big chunky stuff, it's not generally too complicated. Adjusting it can be a bear but patience and math (or the proper equipment) is key
Getting a portable lift helped a lot with working on my 300ZX TT.

@16:19 Yes, it is VERY hard at home 😂. I changed the my diff gears in my driveway and I had to drop the entire exhaust, remove wheel hubs, half-shafts, drive shaft, and do a balancing act to get it down. A lift would’ve 1000% been a blessing 😅

I work for a company called 4wdpro in eastern PA and I used to be the lift kit/suspension installer. Seeing you guys struggle with it was so validating. I honestly hated that position after a few months. It doesn’t matter how many times you do it it can still be a pain. Rewarding to see the finished product though.
I've never been a fan of drag racing, but this Hi Low series has been really fun to watch. Great work.

Expensive adjustable suspension is useless if it is not adjusted correctly 🤷
They'll probably adjust in the future. No way they don't. There's no reason to fully adjust when your going to have to adjust later when you make more power and modifications, you typically fine tune if your at the end
