      @@Jerrypkmonkey I am a bmw dealer tech. We do everything except full engine rebuild. I am in the east coast of Canada and the pay is not great compared to other trades. It's the least payed trade out there..I went into this field because I love Cars but this trade is killing the passion, after almost doing it for 10 years. If you love cars, don't make this as your profession. Just my 2 cents.

    • @KingJerbear
      @KingJerbear 11 месяцев назад +26

      @@Jerrypkmonkey Modern tech is a rough job, you need to spend a ton of money on tools, and for a dealer most stuff is billed at a set time. So you're only making money if you're cranking through lots of jobs faster than the "recommended" time. The typical old school "diagnosis" has been replaced by learning how to read and operate scan tools and using a computer. In my opinion the trade is being killed by the manufacturers making more and more expensive cars, the cost for parts and getting your car serviced is going through the roof... but the technician pay is staying the same. In this (and all of Sreten's) video you can see what many technicians dream of, doing jobs the "right" way, with quality parts and taking time to ensure perfection. But in a flat rate world, working like this means barely staying afloat, and that's if the customer is even convinced they actually want to spend the money to have it done right. I deeply respect all the guys keeping our vehicles safe and on the road in this day and age

    WoW, i didn't know i was one of the three ladies watching, but when you love car's, you just have to watch Sreten in action, because he does repairs right, and his OCD about using genuine parts and making everything look new is something i can relate to. I have been looking forward to this build, and love long video's. Thank you for choosing this as your job, i appreciate all the time you put into doing this, as well as the cost involved to save these car's.
    G-d bless you, your wife, and the little furry one.

    Man this is probably one of the best video of the channel. The effort you put into this engine rebuild is incredible: for each single component you have looked for the highest quality and for possibile improvement over stock part, then you have assembled everything with unique precision and attention to details. And you didn't need any of the special tools!

    I usually never comment on the videos I watch. This, however, is beautiful and you should be proud of yourself. The style of narration and explanation sometimes might make somebody think that you've had enough of that kind of work, even maybe annoyed by it (even though we know you're just super sarcastic), but its perfect. The fact that you assembled everything so precisely in the beginning of the video, the camera angles during the work, all the explanation, just shows how much you actually love what you do. That is extremely commendable and deserves the greatest respect. I hope you can keep doing that for a long time to come, for your own and for our sake as viewers.
    Svaka čast Sretene!
