I really appreciate these real world challenges. Buying cars and trucks real people can afford and dealing with the problems all of us deal with every day. We don't have sponsors or huge budgets to help us and so this type of content is really relatable.

I feel like this could have been avoided, he even said it himself after the oil overfilled again "either fuel or coolant is getting into the oil", probably not coolant because no milkshake, but fuel thins the oil and would cause low or no oil pressure. I cringed everytime they kept it running with that aweful tick.

That doesnt explain why it was overfull again after they changed the oil and drove it a while. Im betting the rings were shot in a few cylinders and fuel was leaking into the crank case. If it was coolant the color of the oil would have been obvious.

The 1500 Magnum doing donuts in the the field made me instantly reminisced back to Walker, Texas Ranger. Chuck Norris and Jimmy Trivette would definitely approve of this truck.
What's a truck got to do? 1) Haul stuff. - About 30 cinder blocks ought to be a good challenge. Setup a slalom course on the dirt parking lot - down and back, quickest time. 2) Tow stuff. - Haul the u-haul trailer with Cleet's "Hemi" pos for 10 laps around the track. 3) Tug o' war. 4) Go muddin' 5) Look good on date night.
Challenge ideas: 1. Feats of Strength. How many crown Vic’s can each truck tow in dirt or grass. 2. Dirt Speed. Fastest 0-60 or 0-50 or whatever in the dirt. 3. Handling. Best course time off road…jumping optional. 4. Efficiency. What’s the MPG combined after all challenges have been completed. Would be hilarious to know how bad they are.

@@Jizden_Mipanz i feel like you're not even close my dude. don't know if you noticed. but um. when the oil was drained. it was more liquid than thick. even i know when hot oil is different vs. when it has coolant/water in it. the bad lifters combined with the dark oil - *of which had coolant or water in it*. was something. that should've been the number one key to stop and fix. while they were in the first lot. & then when the clip before he killed the engine i saw no resistance on the upper rad hose.
Aside from knowing ahead of time it wasn’t going to make it, seeing that 7 year old registration sticker was a telltale sign it wasn’t going to be good.
Over filling makes the crank hit the oil, putting air bubbles in it. Then the pickup start sucking in air bubbles and then you start losing oil pressure and collapsed lifters.
I like your postulation that as the engine when it was “making oil” that the crank whipped that oil like a soufflé and that the aerated oil killed the oil pressure but while it might not of been too good for the lifters but the lifters were not what ultimately did that engine it became I have to believe it finally got the rod bearings and than Rodney started playing his #1 Billboard hits song called “The Rod Knock Blues.” That chipping sound before the engine locked up was the B side of The Rod Knock Blues single titled The Piggyback Chip.

I don't think it's a keeper, honestly I think it's a flood truck, floor is probably rusted out bad. Sure it could be fixed and it's nowhere near as bad as a northern Truck with the rust, even if it's a flood truck. Guess we will find out if they tear into it or trade it. I think they might sell it, and buy a Hemi truck. Because they said it would be ok if JH gambled and doubled his money and bought a truck twice as expensive, that will be their justification I think, for buying a whole nother truck. LOL. @@Jizden_Mipanz i feel like you're not even close my dude. don't know if you noticed. but um. when the oil was drained. it was more liquid than thick. even i know when hot oil is different vs. when it has coolant/water in it. the bad lifters combined with the dark oil - *of which had coolant or water in it*. was something. that should've been the number one key to stop and fix. while they were in the first lot. & then when the clip before he killed the engine i saw no resistance on the upper rad hose.

I like your postulation that as the engine when it was “making oil” that the crank whipped that oil like a soufflé and that the aerated oil killed the oil pressure but while it might not of been too good for the lifters but the lifters were not what ultimately did that engine it became I have to believe it finally got the rod bearings and than Rodney started playing his #1 Billboard hits song called “The Rod Knock Blues.” That chipping sound before the engine locked up was the B side of The Rod Knock Blues single titled The Piggyback Chip.

I'm gonna guess the 5.7 Hemi from the jumped lawn dart Chrysler 300 is going in it, if it's any good. The engine for the TRX you would have to justify the value. It would almost be kinda like cheating putting a 30k engine in that truck.

I don't think it's a keeper, honestly I think it's a flood truck, floor is probably rusted out bad. Sure it could be fixed and it's nowhere near as bad as a northern Truck with the rust, even if it's a flood truck. Guess we will find out if they tear into it or trade it. I think they might sell it, and buy a Hemi truck. Because they said it would be ok if JH gambled and doubled his money and bought a truck twice as expensive, that will be their justification I think, for buying a whole nother truck. LOL.
