Hey Guys, Just a quick FYI. So I'm getting asked a lot " why didn't you sort out all the rust on the underside, suspension components, radiator brackets etc etc " well this is only the first stage of restoration , in this episode the car is "restored" to a roadworthy condition so that I can enjoy it guilt free through the spring summer and autumn months but come winter it will be getting "restored" to showroom condition. I hope this answers most of your questions and puts your fears at rest. Oh and as for the barrage of " why did you cover up the fog lights" Its a Subaru rally heritage thing that started with the original Impreza back in 1993 on the world rally stages.
I love your attention to detail and would love to be able to afford to do the same on my forester xt someday. I would love to tear it down and address all of the underneath and powder coat everything. Great work as always.
This is something I wish I had the money for. A garage and a project car to rebuild. The feeling to finally drive the car you worked so hard to restore must be incredible.

I think our maestro out there is truly passionate about restoring things to their original or better glory and takes enormous amounts of time to focus on the details. This may be great video? I just got it in my feed and need to say. It's either a barn find in which we know who owns it and have a contact with them as a means to get legal possession. OR it's abandoned and legal possession is obtained by default through time elapsed with notices to remove or noone has done anything about it being where it was dumped, that an accepted legal process has relinquished their rights to it. . I am so glad you rescued this car. All pre-2008 Subarus need to be treated with love and kindness as they are the last of the good years. I wish I had my 2003 again, it was such a beautiful car to drive.

That's a gorgeous car. One of my favorites. Sparkplug story: I used to own a 2003 Ford Escape with a V6 engine in it. The sparkplugs had three on the top side of the engine and three on the bottom side of the engine. The top three were easy to replace. The bottom three were hidden behind the exhaust manifold which required it to be removed to access them. Needless to say, I replaced 3 sparkplugs instead of 1 when I did that job.
That’s an incredible amount of work and time you have put into making this restoration, and then there’s the video and editing as well, you really are extremely good doing this and I appreciate every video you make. I’d love to follow in your footsteps but having seen the payments for the Snap on torque wrench, I’ll have to just enjoy your work instead 😁😁.
First time viewer. This was awesome to watch! Restoring as many of the OEM parts as possible is so smart! Guaranteed the fitment to be spot on. I try to do the same thing with as many projects as possible (cars, rebuilding furniture, ect). Great video! Much love from Charlotte, NC!
This is my first time watching a restoration video on a car and it's of one of my favourite Japanese car brands, I've been in love with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI ever since I was a kid that I would always dream of owning one as an adult, sadly the dream has yet to come true. Plus I always wanted to try working on a car but sadly I'm not mechanically inclined but my boyfriend is who does work on cars once he can afford to work on one. Plus he's helping me to learn more about cars especially at the scrap yard that's minutes away from our home
You gave me a little bit of hope, mine was kept in a barn most of its life and Im trying to bring it back to life, when I fix one problem another one pops up, these damn imprezas but we love them with our soul 🥲
Dam the time frame you create these video over is crazy, when i see the links to parts of the car you restore are over 2 years old I wonder just how much time you put into these. Great work!
Great video. You didn't show how you fixed the glass. Very impressed how you were lucky to find an interior, with every seat. You were fortunate. Thanks for taking us on the ride.
Great resto, thoroughly enjoyable, but when you change wheels, also swap the front brake rotors over so they are in the correct rotational direction for efficient cooling.
This is fun to watch - more of a reassembly than traditional restoration. It always stuns me how cars in that part of the world rust so quickly. That would be unheard of in my corner of the US, even after 30 or 40 years.
Funny last time I watched one of your videos you restored a white Scooby and now a few years later this one was recommended in my feed, your channel has grown, congratz. You've got a new sub, respect from Edinburgh👍🏾.

What a truly excellent restoration ! Great work Sir 👍
Thank you so much for that kind comment it really does mean a lot :)
Im not a Subaru fan but damn...this was so good to watch...thank u for this content...
I hate to be a downer, but you put the steering wheel on the wrong side mate.
Lol
You're a master of your craft. I bet you had a huge feeling of accomplishment on that first drive. Well done, sir!
Dam the time frame you create these video over is crazy, when i see the links to parts of the car you restore are over 2 years old I wonder just how much time you put into these. Great work!
I am a fan of the Subayo Impreza, and your work on it is amazing and worth watching. Thank you for returning it to the original❤❤❤
I really appreciated the My Summer Car reference. I did not see anyone else comment on it and thought that's a shame as it deserves more recognition.
She’s very beautifull! Good job ! Congratulations
10/10 would watch again
Nothing more satisfying than seeing the old bits come off and the newly restored bits going back on
Awesome video mate!
You saved that car!!! Great work. Textbook perfect at every step.
Haha. I just love your quirky one liners. Even without the sounds of music, it doesn't make it boring at all watching you restore. 😂
If you're in the UK, I have 1999 celica, and I am happy to give it to you for your channel.
This is fun to watch - more of a reassembly than traditional restoration. It always stuns me how cars in that part of the world rust so quickly. That would be unheard of in my corner of the US, even after 30 or 40 years.
it's because of all the salt we use for our roads duing the wintertimes. All japanese cars rust like hell because of it
Polis car Philippines 🇵🇭 🚨🚨🖲
Oh wow, those sounds bring back some memories, had one just like it for 14 years
Funny last time I watched one of your videos you restored a white Scooby and now a few years later this one was recommended in my feed, your channel has grown, congratz. You've got a new sub, respect from Edinburgh👍🏾.
Bro you are the best, this might be one the best rebuilding video. Well explained with all the information and with quality and really good editing. I enjoyed and I learned things , thank you and keep going.
I absolutely love that you torque all your bolts and nuts
Thank you for bringing back the rumble on the streets! Love this video.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful rebuild and restoration. So nice. 👍
You're doing the lords work my friend, cheers from the states!
All the trim and carpets going in was most satisfying.
Great job on restoring that poor car to its glory. It great to see that you had the drive to fix that car not like the previous owner. I enjoy seeing the car on the road then in a barn or storage.
I was so pleased to see the coilovers go. I've owned one set in my life and regretted every mile of it.
an sti is a dream for me,i enjoy and relax so much with your video!!thanks
