no its actually not....its too much paint and his spray pattern is all over the board, just because it looks satisfying with coverage and the speed hes doing it at doesn't mean its right, I bet you any money after he applied the next coat he got a couple of runs with the gun adjusted like that, also he failed to do the edges and angular surfaces first, and yes i have painted and done bodywork before

I know axalta has some water born stuff that covered in one coat and you could really hammer it on and it just stuck like glue 😂 think 3xs the thickness on a coat compared to the old solvent from way back wild the first time I shot it. But it's also water so wet beds and long dry times or lots of bakes make it kinda suck. This is solvent from what I understand but very similar to water in how it shoots and it kinda lays itself down from what I understand

WOW! This is a painter and a master of his craft. I been around a lot of automotive painters in my time and he's the best I have seen. I would have hired this guy in a minute and tried really hard to keep him on the payroll! I had my motorcycle paint in a blue metallic very similar to this one. When you first started i thought it looked like it was going on a bit heavy, but the speed you was moving was appropriate for the amount of paint coming out. Nice colour too.
Agree at first I was skeptical cause how close he was, but the speed he was going at was perfect leaving no time for over spray and the flicks were great.
If he was using anything else he would have runs everywhere on that car. That’s not how you paint a car. You don’t just start anywhere. The equipment and paint saved his ass.

Tout doit être fait rapidement pour que les différentes couches se superposent mais s’unissent aussi. Ne pas faire de coulures, de sur / sous épaisseurs, de traces etc. C’est un métier. Et je ne parle même pas de toutes les étapes d’avant qui sont encore plus techniques ( carrosserie en général ) car ce n’est pas le sujet. C’est pas le le truc le plus technique du monde c’est sur mais c’est pas à la portée du premier venu que de faire une peinture parfaite comme un pro.

I never see people who spay properly and wonder why they’re paint has to be sanded so much. Why are you spraying 2” from the work space? Just because you spray fast doesn’t mean you did a quality job.
I have sprayed both. i will take the debeers over ppg all day long. But if you like the wet on wet application I HIGHLY recommend Spies Hecker. I get coverage in a 1 1/2 coats no need to go back in for a metallic orientation coat. 1 1/2 coat of base dry it with air and boom your clearing

I've never seen a light on a paintgun; it is a great idea. You can never have enough light when painting a car.

If its a colour match repair you need to go by manufacturer specs or it will be a different shade
